Hey guys whats up im doinga build for my ROOM haha. I have a sub in my car why not at home! Ok So i bought a RE SR10-D4 10", here are the specs. I want to Make a slot vented box 1cf tuned 34 hz. Iam going to put 300 rms. Ive built boxes before But i still dont know how to design one on my own so im asking for you guys to help me with the buildcould someone design a box for me i want the sub to be top mounted with the port on the side. My 96 Saturn SL2 has no trunk so I was going to move to infinite baffle to gain trunk space. I currently run a Zapco Ag650 pushing Image Dynamic HLCDs, 6.5s, and a pair of Aura Bass shaker Pros under the seats. My subs are currently Orion HCCA 12D4s driven by a Mark Antony MK2500D and according to my amperage draw and ohms law it tops out around 1600 watts. I may be reducing equipment to cut down on the room taken up. My wife has children and we are expecting twins. I have an Audiocontrol Epic-160 in the dash to dial down the bass on the subs. My RL-S 12" arrives tuesday. I made a post on ca.com which I asked for a design for 2-3 cu. ft. and everyone replied saying I need a much larger box. Although, SS and SSA recomends 2 cu ft minimum and 2.5 optimal. Does anyone happen to know what the smallest cu. ft. box I can put this driver in for good results? Not looking for a perfect response curve, just something decent.

im lookin into 2 ES-15Dv.2 subs from them...getting a **** good deal too......will these hit nice....and are they as nice of subs as what everyone says? ....im only puttin 500 to each....but i want them louder than the 8's i had......which i will never purchase anything from that company or even send someone to them.

So I have a 2007 crew cab silverado which is limited to what I can put under the seat Would you guys go with 3 8" SA-8s or 1 12" Fi BL with all upgrades in a ported box? I listen to rock, country and some alternative. I like hard hitting bass with the ability to get a deep rumble I see the SA-8s have a pretty good xmax compared to most 8s so will this allow it to hit deeper than most other 8s? Need to know today because of the sale going on on the SA-8s

I added a sa-10 in my nissan 350z and i notice i am having trouble hearing the music a little in my car with the sub turn all the way up. So i had to back down on the gain some tell the music sound better. now i am running stock component set's in my door's which i understand is the cause of my problem. My question is if i were to replace the tweeters with lets say some really nice jbl tweeter's i have would this help with my music tell i save up some money for better component set's.

I've been reading that if i want loud for music, i need to go with as much cone area and power as i can. My limited power available is only 4,400w. To keep costs down, i've been looking at some subs at sonicelectronix and i see 2 that seem pretty interesting to me. They are all 12s. Hi I am trying to get more output from my coworker's car. He currently has a 04 F150 SuperCrew and is running 1 10" Cadence Mallet II 2ohms / Cadence Z1000 amp / Pioneer p4200ub. It currently sound nice but not enough bass at all. I am thinking about porting the box but don't where to start and what I should have it tuned to. Would this be a good idea to do? Have about $400-$500 to spend soo.... Sundown X or Z v.3, Soundqubed HDC 3 or 4, OR JL 12 W6. can you guys tell me the difference between X and Z for sundown and HDC 3 and 4? does it make a difference for the more i pay? so a buddy has a w6 ten off of 500 watts and sounds pretty good what 10 would compare or yet beat the w6 and im going 1000 watts also dont want to spend an arm and leg for a sub any help would be nice

Have a question about which voice coils to go with, dual 1ohm or dual 2 ohm? The dual 2ohm will give me a 1ohm load which is 1200wRMS from the 1200d while dual 1 ohm will give me a 2ohm load which is 870wrms. The sub is "rated" at 1000wrms but I have watched a bunch of videos and alot of people have written about giving them alot more power. So my question: Do I play it safe and go with the 870wrms or can this sub handle the 1200wrms without being damaged? Thank you.

will a 12" magnum be ok with around 1.4k for music? what about for full on bass tracks? how much power are you guys giving them?

so ive been recently looking at two subs the fi ssd and ascendant audio arsenal both 12" what is the big difference between these two? i know that the fi take 800wts and the arsenal 500wts and their mounting depths are close.

Im about to be getting my car and my system is going in ASAP. I know I want a D2, but I cant decide which size. I would like to have a 15 since it gets louder and lower and I mostly listen to rap music, but will the 4.5 cu ft box fit in my trunk ok? I am getting a 1990 BMW 325is so it has a decent sized trunk, but how big is it gonna be really? Anyone have any pics of that sized box? Also, do you think I REALLY need the 15? I plan on running 1100 watts to the sub. This will be my first system so I really don't know a whole lot about the actually sound of things, just word of mouth. so i found a just like new rf power hx2 15 for $200 but im trying to find sumthing a lil cheaper or atleast brand new that will satisfy. i've been thinking bout a sa-8 or orphan 8 and was wondering what the most power i should put to one daily to get the most output......im interested in any ones suggestions for single sub in the cab of a 76 caprice. going for spl not sq but wanna spend under $200 and run about 1000rms
