  1. Im getting 2 Pioneer Premier TS-W3001 subs. Trying to figure out if I need to get the Dual 2 or Dual 4 version if I use a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X1R amp and want to wire it for the full 1200 watts to each sub and in series or parallel? Also same question for a Cadence ZRS-6500D to get the 1200 watts to each sub?

I looked around for some information about porting these subs and only came up with sealed. I just ordered 4 of these to go in the back of my durango, so space really isnt an issue. Could someone either give me a box design, or TS per. so I can do it my self. Thanks in advance

Which one would hit harder The hdc3 is 370 shipped and the btl would be around 450 fully loaded. I want a hard hitting system but I don't have much space I drive a 2000 accord coupe. So what do you guys think I should get.

As the title states I am stuck between the 2. I have 1.0 cubic foot sealed per sub. power will come from an alpine mrp m1000 so 1000 watts at 2 ohms. I listen to mainly hard rock ie five finger death punch, metallica etc. I like my bass hard hitting but accurate. All this will go in a 2009 chevy silverado crew cab head unit is a pioneer avh p 4300 and alpine components up front. Both subs are virtually the same price i was hoping some of you may have had a chance to compare them and what your opinions are. Also as far as the ssd's go for those of you who have them what options do you believe are important especially as far as my setup goes. Thanks in advance-Dave

  7. I know there is probably no definitive answer, but I wanted to know where to start. I decided on a sealed box for new Mag 15 on the way to me. I figured 2.6 cubes and 2.45 after displacement. I want to know how many pounds to start with. I am looking for about the same output as my ported 12, with a flatter response. I know the site recommends 2.3. Is my box too big? Os there a way to get a little more output from a sealed box without losing a whole lot of SQ. This is my first sealed that I have had in this car. It will be getting around 1100 watts. I listen to about everything.

I was thinking of taking the subwoofer out of my room and putting it in my truck(temporarily) until I buy my stuff I want. It has an RCA' and positve and negative wire. I was thinking connect the power to my remote wire, the negative to the ground and RCA to RCA. Is this a really bad idea? or what? Thanks guys

Im looking for a sub to replace a 10" IDQV2. I will be running it off a JL 500/1. I like the specs on the Fi SSD and the SSA Icon but dont really see a huge diff between the 2, other than getting the copper coil and BP Power (whatever that is..) on the SSD. Can someone please tell me what BP Power is. I searched but didnt find a clear answer.

i have a set of Polk dxi 6.5 components in the front doors of my truck. I really dig the tweets and over all they sound pretty good. ive done a fair amount of deadening and sealing of the doors. They are being powered bye a jl xd400/4 gettin about 75 watts rms. Would it be worth a shot to upgrade the woofers with some thing with a little more extension? Mid bass isnt bad for what they are now,but could be better! is there any limitation of the woofer through the passive xover or does it just block bass from the tweets? An active setup is my ultimate goal so purchasing a better mid woofer is not a bad idea anyway. just wondering if anyone has upgraded a component woofer…

Hey guys havent been on in awhile but since then have decided to change my set up. Right now I am running a Lethal Injection 12 at 600wrms. I was thinking about using my amp to it's full potential and getting 3 sa-8. I have a SAX-1200D. Ok now on to my actual question. My wiring options are either 1.33333.... ohms or .5 ohms. Which ohm load would be better for my amp? I feel with the 1.3 ohm load the subs wont be seeing full power and I feel with the .5 ohm load I might ruin my amp. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Im having a hard time weeding thru everything to find the best of the best woofer for my application. It seems as if i get a different answer from everyplace... So ive decided to ask seperate questions and be more specific in my application goals (and poll as many peeps as possible). Box will be ported using 6" areos. I want a pair of 15s that can accuratly reproduce all bass (especially the lows) @ a 4 ohm load on my amp. At that power i want to be able to go to an sq comp and win. But i want to be able to take it down to 1 ohm and run like meade... subs must be able to handle the power at 1 ohm and sound as good as possible. Daily is where im mainly concerned with but i…

Good evening, my underseat truck setup finally kicked the bucket so I'm going to finally upgrade like I've been wanting to, doing a budget friendly soundqubed setup to match what I have now, (SQ amps and highs and mids) I drive a 2002 F150 supercrew (4 door, 5.5 foot bed) too and powering low end stage off an SQ 2200d. My questions are: 1. Is a regualr ported blowthrough possible with 4 15's ? All I see are 4th or 6th orders around (trust me I have searched a lot) My goals are to be loud, low and clean. I modeled different enclosures with WinISD and I get the best response with a ported box versus a 4th order (probably because of the stupid high QTS). 2. Is a clamshell a…

So I'm coming from a Q, it's in about 2 cubes and tuned to 30hz. I'm powering it with an MD2 being a bit conservative on the gain. The output is pretty good for a twelve in a trunk car and the lows are thunderous, but I want something that will also play the upper frequencies 45-60 a bit louder than the Q does. Lookin for something with the same punchiness of the Q also. Probably looking at 2 12's sealed, I think I'll be satisfied with the output there and I can turn it down if needed. Only subs I've considered were the SE and the SSD w/ a copper coil, possibly the TC-9 too. Any help/suggestions are welcome, I'm open to anything.

I was listening to stereo pretty loud last night and every thing was fine. i went to leave today and i notice my rear side speakers were not working right. They are JBl 2 way 6x9 GTO 's. they came with the truck from the previous owner. They are rated at 150 watts. i had a 2 channel MTX 280 watt amp hooked up to them running at about half turned up. Now only the tweeter or the little spekear in the center of it is working. All i here is the highs and no mids. I checked all the connections and even hooked it back up to the head unit and still the same result. The fronts are just off the head unit and they are fine. I don't know what i did?? They sounded great. For not buyi…
