  1. I'm putting together a budget system in a Ford F-150 I have a custom box with .69 cu feet sealed available for 2 10" subs. There is a lot of options I've been narrowing it down so far I'm leaning towards the Sundown Audio SD 10 Dual 4. I am going to be running a Class AB Mono channel amp rated at 1400 Watts RMS into 1 ohm load. There restrictions 6 Inch mounting depth 300 dollar budget looking for Dual 4 ohm subs or single 2 ohm subs (Want as much bass as possible from a 2 10" subwoofer sealed enclosure) Thanks for any help with picking the right pair of tens!

  2. I've narrowed my choices down to a few options and since this is a slow process I've had the luxury of changing my mind a dozen times. In the back of my Focus hatcback I'm planning a single 15 on what will most likely be a 3500-4000 watt Crescendo, Autotek (old school), Ampere, etc and it'll be in what is most likely a 3.7ish net tuned to mid/high 30s. Mostly rock and some rap for daily listening and decaf for demo. So there are a few subs that seem to fit my application but it's a tough call. Maybe all would be great but who knows. I know the SSA Evil will come highly recommended but the DC Lvl5 and AA Team are right there in terms of capability. Is the SSA being bu…

Hello all, I'm thinking of placing a Dcon 10" in a 1cf box ported and wanted to use a 3" port because of size/length restrictions, for 33hz I calculated it to be 15.3" long, is a 3" pvc good enough?

Hello everyone I've had the zcons for a few weeks now I got 2 18" zcons on a sundown 5000d my build log is in the build log forum if your interested but the zcons are pretty great so far I plan to mess with the amp a little today I haven't had much time to lately but as of right now these things are crazy loud but they are slightly peaky but that might be more to do with the box design than the subs here is a status I seen the other day after I gave some friends a demo

  14. I need some help deciding on which subs to get. Depending on the load I got two amps I know I want. One is the T20001bd (my first choice) or two Alpine PDX 1.1000 (But that's second on my list). My gold is running 2000 RMS for a pair of twelves. I need some experience to guide me, because I have no way to hear them for my self. So I ask, for your opinions. I have three I picked from some recommendations, and I would like to know which is the best, which one would last longer, hit harder, and be a better investment. FI Q 12" 1000 watts rms SSA Icon 12" 1000 watts rms Alpine Type X 12" 1000 watts rms I'm getting a ported box & I listen to everything, but mostly boomy r…

I have a 2012 tracker fishing boat. I would like to put a very small and simple system into it. No subs probably just left and right. Amped. Bluetooth deck. Location for the speakers will be lower on the left and right side of the boat. There is actually storage boxes on both sides that run the length of the boat back. Obviously way more air space than what will be needed but they are something that stays closed. That's where speakers will more than likely go. I plan to purchase a lower end pioneer Bluetooth capable h/u. I currently own a few 2 ch amps I can use offering up to 100 rms per channel. I own a set of fosgate power series 2 way 6x9s I could use. My goal for thi…

In a slightl;y better enclosure than the last. Last enclosure was the fibergalss one I built which was 1.9 cu ft tuned to around 33hz using a 4" aeroport. This is a 2.1@31hz enclosure I had fisher customs makle up for me. More port area since space wasn't as critical as the GTO, plus I will have the seat down from time to time, so minimal port noise was wanted. Thje area is 31 sq inches. This setup sounds so much better than the GTO did. A lot louder as well. Most of that has to do with the 2 different vehicles though. The GTO just isn't advantageous to a sub in the trunk. The cavalier is a bit more accommodating, just a chittier car lol. Here is a few short clips. I got…

I have my maw in a 2.45net sealed encolsure, and while it gets fairly loud, i long for a bit more output. I was designing a new box for it, and came up with around 3.1ct net tuned to around 33hz. only problem is fitting a large port in there. was either planing on a single 4" aero port, or dual 3" aero ports. slot port will not work due to size. My problem is i dont want to take up my whole trunk, and the dims i have to work with are 33"wx16.75"hx14"d. i would prefer to have the ports firing toward the rear as well as the sub. Not alot of port area, but the sub is not an spl monster, and has a lower 13mm xmax. just wondering what people thought of that setup as fa…

Hi, I am looking to get 2 new LSQ subs for my boat. I was planning on using the Fi Q 12's, since I have used them in my last boat and loved them, but since they are not available was wondering what you would recommend. I have read good things about the ssa icon, but was wondering how it would compare in terms of output and sound quality. I am using two individual .80 cubic foot boxes with some polyfill and already cut the holes for a 12. The amp I have wired in is a Cadence zrs 8000d which is able to put out 2000 watts rms at 1 ohm. Any advice would be appreciated.

The box will be between 4.6-5 ft^3 @ 30-33 hz, it will include 2-12" subwoofers (subs up, port in front) powered by a Sundown Saz-2000d. Big Three already done, battery upgrades coming soon and it will be going in the trunk of a Saturn Ion-2003. Which subs should I choose, price is not an option but listed in least expensive on up(if you suggest a sub thats not on the list thats fine, all input is greatly appreciated): SSA Icon $275.00 Sound Splinter RL-P $295.00 Incriminator Audio Death Row $319.00

Hey guys.. I was all set up to do 261's for L&R and a 61 for the center, but now I decided I want to do a 261 there as well.. So at the very least I'd like to get ahold of a PCB for the 261 crossover, or better yet a complete crossover. If I must I'd be willing to buy the whole kit, and then sell or trade my 61 components. I'd assume the extremis is the same in the 61 and 261? Are they still available? I wan't really woried about it until I found out the old speaker kids got cancelled! Thanks guys, really appreciate it..
