I've been out of the car audio scene for a long time....used to run Fi audio way back when I did competitions...trying to get back into it a bit and put a couple stout 8" subs under the rear seats in my 21 Ram 1500 crew cab....what does everyone recommend? Guessing ill end up doing a 1500 - 2000 watt amp....I'm more of an spl guy if that matters but obviously need something that works well without a ton of space for an enclosure....unsure of budget as of yet, so suggestions in all price ranges are welcome....any help/advice is appreciated!

OK so here is the hopefully last thread on my truck. I am buying a prefab box. I know no one recommends a pre fab box but there is only one way to fit it under the rear seat in my 2014 F 150 super cab. Unless I decide to take more floor space for more air space its kind of a set design. Id rather not eat more floor space because the back does get used a little bit. Anyways http://www.soundoffaudio.com/2009-2014-ford-f-150-extended-cab/ http://www.supercrewsound.com/09F150ECUTSdual.html Are the two I am looking at. No matter what air space is .80 cube before sub. I was wondering if for the space, I could get a little better smaller subwoofers. Instead of ge…

hello SSA goers...... today, i am wondering, what 2 10's, 212's, or 1 15 would be louder than 1 12" mtx 9500 but still in my price ranger? iv always owned kicker, mtx, rockford, but i want to try some of this "incriminator" audio or sundown or skar. i like trying new things but i figured id ask someone with experence. im having money issues and need a little cash so im selling both my 9500's ( 475 plus shipping) to get something a little smaller. if i get 2 10's or 2 12's of something, ill spend about 200 on each sub max. or if i go with 1 15, ill spend around 350-375. i have a '95 ford ranger ext. cab running a kicker zx1500.1 w/ 4 gauge wireing. i dont reallt have a box l…

I'm trying to get rid of my Type-R because it just doesn't sound that great. I've been going back and forth for the last few weeks with what I want to get. I've had a crush on the SA-8's since they came out, and I want to do two of them in either a great ported enclosure or a t-line. A couple months ago I got the bug for a 3512, which I would do either bandpassed or ported. A few days ago, a guy on PBNation got a pair of 1508's, put them in a t-line, and posted some videos, so I got hooked on that. For the last few days, i've been debating among myself which one I want. These would be powered by an AP15001D, so 1500W @ 1 Ohm. I've got a 98 malibu, and I never drag stuff a…

I am looking at doing a blowthrough in my truck (yeah I know...its going to be expensive and a lot of work.) I'm not sure on the subs I want to run yet though. I'm looking at either 2 BTL's or 2 RD audio Alpha V.2. The sizes I'm looking at are either 18s or 15s. I want it to be loud at low hertz but I also want it to HIT hard and not just be loud with no punch to the bass. I have 4 Crossfire VR-1000D amps (putting out probably right at 4000 watts but will be more with the Big 3 and more batterys). which would fit what i'm looking for better?

This is for those of you who really don't know us here at Stereo Integrity... I dream, literally, of ways to increase the sound quality of a speaker. My dad and I drive around with spare voice coils in our cup holders (they're 3" diameter, which conveniently helps hold large tall cups in place). Jacob and I rack our brains constantly about the pro's and con's of crossover slopes, frequencies, and speaker selections we are faced with when designing component systems. If any of you (our customers) were around us just hanging out, you would know what I'm talking about...Hoss can vouch for me on this one. I dream about cone materials, voice coil manipulations, massive spider…

This is the beginning of a test build. It probably would have progressed further if the belt on my table saw wouldn't have taken a big dump on me. I will have to go to Springfield (hopefully tomorrow) and get one...soon. I still need to resin the curves, etc. It's a long way from being done. I was hoping to have it done by tomorrow afternoon, for a special guest. Oh well, in the meantime you can poke fun at my table-saw-frustration-creation. Here is to hoping that tomorrow is more productive!

Some of this was already posted on audiojunkies.com, but I'm posting it here because this is SI's forum and those who don't visit audiojunkies need to know about our news. All of our reps know this info, and they have kept their mouths shut because I asked them to. But now they can divulge anything they want (within reason). Ok, well I guess I should get the biggest thing out of the way and say that the new Mag is going to be 5.5" deep. I'm putting the motor inside a completely new basket on the new Mag's to reduce mounting depth to 5.5". I'm also using XBL^2 to get a super-flat BL curve and maintain our T/S's over the entire band of usable Xmax, which will make the d…

well i am planning on building 6 of these, i have all parts on hand, so i decided to build one, and measure it before i proceed. they will be tc2+ motors, with 6" spiders, a reproduction of the original tc1000 coil, sa8 cones, and baskets. the leads were stitched by me. the first parameters were with the coils paralleled R(e) = 1.005 ohms Fs = 38.36 hz Qts = .356 Qes = .376 Qms = 6.706 Le = .732mh mms = 112.6grams vas = .1479cu. ft. spl = 79.88 these were in series Re = 3.95 fs = 37.68hz Qts = .331 Qes = .351 Qms = 5.882 Le = 2.874mh Mms = 121.5 grams Vas = .1422cu. ft. in case any of you are used too see vas in liters those are both just a tad under 4liters. now i …

Thought I'd post this in behalf of my buddy Marcos (Mega Heavy Bass), who competed in a dBDrag event today with 4 x Stereo Integrity 15's. I will let him fill you in on the scores, but for now, I leave you with this: Oh, and remember - this wasn't built as a burp machine but as something to play music. The SPL is just a by-product Stereo Integrity = teh win

I have been getting a lot of opinions lately for sq subs, amps and setups. I was wondering, per a suggestion earlier, That if I ran 8's in my door for mid bass and a 3" woofer for mid range in kick panel with tweets in A pillar. Has anyone ever made a custom speaker pod in the A piller for a 3" or a 4 " woofer. And if so how does it sound, what are the trouble you run into with that kind of set up. I am trying to shy away from kick panels just cause I am a big guy and the kicks being so low I am afraid I will lose alot of imaging. But here is what I am afraid of putting the mid ranges in the a pillers, that it will be to splashy or high pitch and make your ears bleed wit…

I really like you new woofer and was planning to get one of the originals magnums but you now what happened. I am trying to not make this a comparsion thread but it might just become one. I currently own the 15HC and I am looking for something more efficient. I really like the low end of the 15HC but I would just love a louder all around woofer. I have a viper 1200.1 amp that puts out about 1200 watts and the box I am currently using is 4.05 cuft tuned to 30 hz. I plan to buy another car next year and would like to keep the box I made for the 15HC until I get the new car. I was basically looking for a woofer that would be a better option in terms in loudness if I did a di…

I have set a budget for $150 per sub...... I am really wanting at least 12's. And I need some input on which subs within this price range will have the best bang the buck. I was looking at the Alpine SWR-1222D as a possible candidate. But that was purely just a suggestion for myself. After I figure out what subs I want to get I will try and figure out what amp will push them the best. Thanks in Advance. ~MadroX
