Hi there. My son is contemplating an upgrade to his sub. He has just one 8 and was wanting 2 SA8s. Then we talked to woofersetc and they suggested 2 SA10s. He has a trailblazer so enough room. Hi is running a Cadence ZRSC9 running 2 channel to the fronts and other two channels bridged to his current sub. He is just looking for more bass, doesn't really want to build a box. After a year resisting, I finally gave up and got a 15" Magnum to run in my daily driver. Should have done it a long time ago, but you know how that can be. After the Magnums I've heard lately, I can't wait to get this put in this weekend and rocking in the Stratus. i have 2 sets of 6.5" diamond audio d661s...theyre not installed yet, im wondering if i should just run horns instead. i want STUPID RETARDED CRAZY loud highs... heres a story of my 2 friends cars too...kinda weird. my friend has (dont know the exact model) Eminence 6.5" speakers (from partsexpress i would imagine) in his 05 dodge neon off an amp(dont know the specs, was on offbrand amp tho)...he has them ghetto installed, they are just propped up on his rear deck, cones facing the front seats. no enclosure or anything. they get really loud inside, and really loud outside the car as well. u can hear him coming for a good distance(prally not the best SQ, but again im gonna…

Okay, so I'm wanting to build a box into my worthless backseat area in my mustang and reverse mount a 18 which should look sweet as hell. I'm not walling it into the trunk though, I dont /think/ anyway, it will depend on if I can fit it or not. The point is 1: to keep my trunk space open and 2: to avoid firing in the trunk at all to avoid all the nasty trunk rattles. 3: to look badddass. So I heard the MAW's were being discontinued. Any truth to this? And will this mean the MJ-18's too? I think an 18" that can fit in 4cuft ported is way to cool to discontinue.

I can't get the dustcap to stay in place,what am I doing wrong? Rubberized glue didn't hold,CA didn't hold,5 min epoxy didn't hold.i ruffed the surface of dustcap w/emery cloth. Time to step back and punt! Also the first two weeks after the recone I had to keep volume down my amp would protect on me. Now I can full tilt w/no issues,confused on that also.

Are there any premade subwoofer enclosures that are available online to buy that would fit the Fi BTL "15 perfectly?

Hey everyone! So my dad leased out a new 2012 Fusion Sport and has had it for about 3 months now. We were talkin about selling my trailblazer and i just take over the lease! He's a great salesmans at Hines Park Ford in New Hudson/Milford, Michigan and he can get a demo that the dealership will pay for. Also if you want a ford go to him lol. I was going to save a bit of cash and order some Exodus Anarchy's, but lo and behold a nice little pair of Faital Pro 6FE200's have fallen into my lap. I'm looking for tweeter suggestions. I will probably be mounting off axis in sails or a pillars. Budget is under $150 for the pair. $150 being absolute maximum.

Alright, i am looking to build up a daily gp build. I was almost dead on a pair of 15's Sundown SA's to be specfic. I guess i am looking to spend around 550ish to 600ish on subwoofers. I am pretty sure i have roughly 14 cubes to work with in my jeep i'll have to double check in the morning but im pretty sure its around that range. I have a sundown saz 3000d to throw at whatever combo i end up going with. My goal is to be as close as 148-149ish on music dbs would be nice but i know a lot of factors play into that. I managed to get my hands on 4 old school Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Z's yesterday in about a 4ft^3 sealed box for 30$ and a pre-fab sealed box for 2 15's... Just for kicks and giggles, I put this setup in the trunk of my Grand Am hooked to a 1000w memphis amp. Drove up the street playing "I'm Raw" by Lil Wayne, turned the bass knob up, and just about S*** myself. I was absolutely blown away by the performance of these things! They don't look like they could blow the dust off of the dustcap.. but looks obviously aren't everything. For 30$, I'd say I've found myself a great temporary daily setup until I order my Z15. Just wanted to let those know who have not read the thread which I replied on that the Mag's are being built this Tuesday!! Packaging is going to take longer than actually building the drivers, so the official release date has yet to be posted. I will keep this forum updated though.

Ive been doing some research on some 8' subs with about a $200 budget and was hoping for some suggestions. I've mainly had my eye on the new alpine's since I can get them about $90 a pop. If anybody knows someone that is selling some 8's for sale in a fair price range, or if the sundown SA-8 by itself could topple most 8 inch couples then that input would be handy as well. Secondly, I hear its quite difficult to make a screamin ported box for this size of sub and was hoping for some direction here as well. So i just received my BTL about an hour ago, and since i just bought myself a nice touchscreen sony camera, i thought i would document the unboxing, install, and everything. I'm buying new speakers for front stage. I'm pretty set on getting alpines to match my power pack. I've been looking into the Type R 6.5" components but I was wondering if it's worth it to spend the extra money to get the Type X. I've heard good and bad about both so I was wondering if you guys had any personal experience with either one of them. Thanks guys

I built my bro a box to house two CDT EF 8" subs. The box is tiny but meets the minimum recommended volume. If the bass is turned up much, whether it be by volume knob, gain, or bass knob, the subs have a high pitched electronic noise. This goes away if one sub is taken out. The only thing I can think of is that the 3" of space between the two magnets is not enough and are causing distortion. Any other possibilities? Oh yea, the subs face away from eachother so the magnets are back to back.

Well i just installed my soloX 10" into a new box today 2 cubes at 32hz and i am having some issues. It hits the lows real good now, which is why i changed the box, but when it hits a high note (such as the high note in young jeezy: hypnotize) it seems as though the sub is sucking in instead of hitting out, almost like the pos/neg is reversed. I have checked the wires 3 times and all is fine there. Also, when it is sucking in it makes a terrible slapping sound like the cone is bottoming out.
