I came across this box and it says its only 3 cubic feet. This does not seem correct. The recommendation for the sub is anywhere from 2.8-4 cubic feet. box link http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218009774927 also...if i buy an amp like this...http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9027206&type=product&id=1218009770462 will i get good performance out of this sub because the brand name is like unheard of lol Thanks.

Hey guys! so its time to get around to finishing up my car in at least short terms. And i've got Big 3 to do, dampening (it never ends), and a new front stage. What would you guys recommend for a front stage? Lemme give you guys the set-up/etc i'm looking currently for a so-so good sounding driver. I'm in a way looking for stuff to keep up with my sub and not be overpowered. So just a good sounding driver for my price range. Size: 6.5" slot...the window cuts pretty close in terms of mounting depth, so nothing thats overly deep Components Vs. Coaxials: I'm not real particular, but i don't really want to modify my doors. Coaxials are of course 6.5's and components are 6.5 m…

I bought a 2 12" TC-3000 last year, the DVC version with lower BL. I went to a shop and got it installed, but now I want to try and redesign my system, by building a new box and possibly purchasing some new amps, but I don't know what the T/S parameters are[DVC's should be different than QVC], the wiring diagrams[ohm load] or power ratings. I've checked the old TC website, but they only provide information for the QVC version. I've also tried calling them, no luck.. Are there any tools I could use to figure this out or is there anyone that might have all this information.

  9. I have a Toyota Auris (it is the new Corolla hatchback) with a little trunk. Here is my setup : hu Pionner 88 prs, speakers : focal 165KP (fr) and Davis Acousticscvt130(rear)on a Boston GT42 amp. sub:Kicker s15L74 on a Jl audio A1800D amp. Secondskin deadening,...... My sub is in a 4 cu ft sealed enclosure; and I really like the powerful output, but not so much the quality. I want to save some space in the trunk; I need a sub that can play very well in a 2 to 3 cu ft enclosure. I found the SSA Icon 15 or the FI Q 15 on the web, and think they can be good for me. Do you think I will be satisfied with one one them? I listen to a lot of reggae , dancehall and rap :I like hea…

Been out of car audio for some time... and now, with my new car... I am addicted again I was able to pick up a set of Boston Z6 comps for dirt cheap (yea Craigslist!). And have them hooked up to an old MTX amp, don't even remember the model, that I had laying around. Since these are 3ohm and I have them bridged to the MTX 4chan... the MTX doesn't like it. I don't think I ever had an amp get that hot. So I am looking for amp recommendation to power these hungry things. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well guy's I would like some opinions on my next set of subs. I tend to lean towards sq but I still want some subs they can get loud and go low and rumble with the best of them. I would like to use the same enclosure that I had with my 2 12" ID MAX's, it is a sealed enclosure with a common chamber and 1.3^3 ft. of airspace per sub before displacement. I have the following two amps available to me; Ampman Revo 1500.1 and a Audio Art 100HC. I'll be using one and selling the other, opinions and reasons for them would be appreciated. If it matters at all it will be going into the trunk of my 2004 nissan maxima. The other components of my system are: Alpine CDA-9835 JL 300/2 A…

I'm pretty much set on what I want to get. 2 Mach5 IXL 10's 1 Phoenix Gold RSD 1200.1 Ported Box tuned to 34 or 35 Hz Each sub will be getting 600 Watts rms. Is this a pretty good set-up for a good amount of SQ and loudness(Right now I have 2 12" Memphis in 2 supersmall wedge enclosures(Sealed) and 300 watts total) ? Another question about the box. Should I put both in same compartment or each in sperate compartments with their own ports.?

Hey guys...thanks for joining me. As you can see, my name is An-i-no and I think I'm a subsono-holic.... LOL on a serious note I have 2 Sa-12's on a RF P500-2 (~350x2) in 1 cube sealed each. They sound effin awesome but they're well...quiet. I already made plans to get a bigger amp (between 1500 and 2000 depending on my monies) but I saw that Sundown was having a b-stock sale and I started thinkin... I want to go ported at 27hz. That's where my listening habits are. Slow ass rap songs that send shockwaves through your organs. My sealed box isn't having that, but duh, I knew that when I bought it. The sealed box does however...allow me to play super-extra low tones that a …

hope to get some inputs for the sub. it could be a 12" or 15". car to be designed on is a 96 accord. target is to be able to play loud but accurate. meaning it can play rap, techno/trans, soft/ballads, rock etc., still with good readings from termlab... possiblly dbdrag style yet as accurate sounding as possible. requirements: 1. box is no bigger that 3.5 cubes - so that spare tire would be accessible 2. box design can only be a wedge 2 enclosure type box - to maximize all space and still get the spare tire 3. sub would be placed facing the cabin, possibly on the back seat position for a single sub, but towards the trunk for a dual sub or all towards the trunk. depends on…

former owner of 2 10 jl audio w3v2 subs under the back seat of my f150 super cab. Overall I was not too happy with the output of these subs. I need another pair to throw under my back seat and I was considering the rl-i10 or 8. Wasnt sure on yalls thoughts on this/ have yall heard this set up before? My goals are for more spl then the jls and im alright sacrificing some sq for it. current amp is a memphis st-1000d 1 ohm stable at 1000 watts, however I can get a new amp so thats not really an issue, even though these subs match up great with that amp! any other recomendations are greatly needed, ive been without bass for about 10 months now.
