Im building a ported sub box for two 12"Dcon D4's.im in to SQ more than SPL, witch would be better a 3.2ft^3 iternal volume tuned to 30hz with 45.in^2 port area. or a 4.0 ft^3 internal volume tuned to 30hz with 60.in^2port area? im new to building ported boxes so any help would be a help...lol... thanks,,,,,,PS im runing a RF T500-1dbcp

Haven't had a sound system all winter and I'm ichin to get back into the game. I'm gonna be picking up my 10" d2ohm XCON pretty soon and since I haven't done a 10" build yet I was lookin for some ideas/pics/thoughts and or some nice build logs featuring a ported 10. I think imma do sub and port up leaning towards sq. Supper pumped to be back....its been too long

i got a punch he from a friend of mine today in pretty good shape but im having hard time of finding some good solid info on it i saw somewhere it was in the category component on one site not sure what that means since its a 12 inch subwoofer. im trying to find what kinda box i need to use stuff like that. i know its not a very powerful sub and it being a 8 ohm it is hard finding an amp to match it.

ok, I've pre-ordered some mpyreaudio mids but they put out the 4 ohm mids for adire extremis (i only pre-ordered because there was no 4 ohm version) plus it's a cheaper driver. Specs are similar but not exactly the same. I'm guessing they will be similar but I will be putting it IB in the doors. Does either one have an advantage in the doors (according to specs)? I forgot what specs to look for to see a better IB driver.

I was wondering if I purchased 1 Fi BTL 15" if it would hit harder the 2 Type Rs and what would also be a good amp to power the Fi BTL or would 2 Fi BL 12"s be better then the 1 15"

looking at revamping my current build in the next few months. im gonna wall off the truck and have about 8-10 cu ft to play with for volume after the port. ive been looking at doing several different driver combos such as 8 10s or 2 18s but open to any other combos people have in mind. gonna keep running the 3500d v2 i have now. i wanna stay around the $1k or subs, and i want to tune around 33hz. going to be a daily driver with some competition use. ive been looking at IA DPs, NSv2s, Zv4s, PSI platform 3s, fully loaded FI BLs,and AA mayhems for 2 18 combinations. i dont think i really have enough space for xcons/zcons. havent seen much in the 10s area i wanna run yet.

Does anyone have pics of all the different color dustcaps you can get for the Fi subs? Im getting a Fi SSD 12'' and looking to see what looks good. Thanks

I am driving a 2006 Dodge quad cab pick up and need suggestions on speakers. The head unit will be an Alpine 138bt and I just bought a Zed Leviaten. I am waiting on a Fox acoustics 12" sealed box with probably a PowerBass 2X subwoofer going in. The truck currently has Polk Momo 6.5(rear) and 6x9(front) in the doors. I like listening to Rock, slow jazz and acoustical music. I'm looking for some tips as to whether I should keep the Polk, run the sub off the Zed or get another amp for the sub. I would like to hear clarity as much as possible. There are also two tweeters in the dash that I don't know what they are.(installer threw them in for me.) Would the recomendation be a…

Anyone tried these sealed? I don't want to take up a significant portion of the back of my Tahoe since I have baby things. So has anyone tried these sealed per the specs? Just so you know they won't have a ton of power on them. Just the sub channel on my Kicker ZX700.5? I'm trying to get something that is a louder and lower the JL12W3's in there now. I'm moving those to my Camaro.

here are some pics of the db's i got beside my re 6.5. they look tiny here are my cdt cl-6x's...they're even bigger than the polks! sad, i never got to here the polks in the car:( they're 6.5's that measure not quite 6.25".

I just ordered my 12" Level3 sub. Im anxious to start building the enclosure and wanted to know if anyone knew the outer diameter of the sub. I want the sub recessed against the enclosure. Thanks!!!

I just order a pair of Fi ssd 18s and was wondering how big I should go on the box? i've read a few forums where people have said go on the smaller side for less peakyness or go on the bigger side and they bang hard. What do you guys think?

I built a sub box as big as i could to hold two 18's in my acura cl.i run a 1200w hifonics brutus and it slams.But the speakers supostu have 6cft of air .the box only has 6.4 total inside air space. Is there any way to make the subs work easyer.By adding polyfill ,porting,or any other methed.i dont want to build a real intriqet box considering my trunk only holds about 13cft and my box should have 12cft.Any help would be appreciated.

If I put a 6.5 rms 100 watts and a 3.5 at 45 watts on the same channel would the wattage add together or would I over power the the 3.5 trying to power the 6.5. The 3.5 are for location. And they are both 4 ohm loads.

I'm pretty much set on what I want to get. 2 Mach5 IXL 10's 1 Phoenix Gold RSD 1200.1 Ported Box tuned to 34 or 35 Hz Each sub will be getting 600 Watts rms. Is this a pretty good set-up for a good amount of SQ and loudness(Right now I have 2 12" Memphis in 2 supersmall wedge enclosures(Sealed) and 300 watts total) ? Another question about the box. Should I put both in same compartment or each in sperate compartments with their own ports.?

Obviously there is a difference between the... 1) X-15 2) Z V-3 15 3) Z V-4 15 I Know the difference in the V3 and V4 is the generation but i am wondering if anyone can give me any input on differences between how beefy the components are and the general differences between the 3. Maybe you guys can help me decide which one to get. Going to order 2 15's and they are going in the back of a 2008 Jeep Commander. Had 2 FI BTL's. How would 2 of these subs compare to the 2 BTL's i had?

Hey guys! so its time to get around to finishing up my car in at least short terms. And i've got Big 3 to do, dampening (it never ends), and a new front stage. What would you guys recommend for a front stage? Lemme give you guys the set-up/etc i'm looking currently for a so-so good sounding driver. I'm in a way looking for stuff to keep up with my sub and not be overpowered. So just a good sounding driver for my price range. Hi all.Im wanting to replace my 2 type r 15's with 1 18 or maybe 2 different 15's.I would like to just have 1 18 so I was wondering what would be a good 18 to replace my 2 15's?Right now I have a clarion CZ 200 head unit, and a Autotek 1500 Street Machine amp.My car is a 1977 oldsmobile Delta 88 and my subs are in the trunk and thats where the 18 would go also.I was thinking about the FI BL 18" sub.Im not real familar with any other brands so any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks. I just bought a used Sundown Saz-1500d. For the moment I will be running it at 2 ohms with my dual 4 ohm voice coil DD2510. Within the next two paychecks, I wanna get something that will take the full 1 ohm power of the 1500. I am leaning towards a 15", but a couple of 12"s could be cool also. Just as long as I can wire to 1 ohm and get the full 1500 or so watts. -This is a daily driver, but if I can potentially get loud enough, I would maybe compete in street beat or similar. -budget is a $350 ish (used or new). less would be nice. -before installing the amp, I'm adding a yellow top in the trunk and one run of 1/0 for it. as well as big 3.
