I've got a 2000 Dodge Dakota Club Cab. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much air space I can get under the rear seats? I don't have a problem ripping out the jack holder, storage tray, etc, but I really don't want to do any kind of modifications such as lifting the seats and such. I did find a Q-Logic enclosure for a single 8" sub that is .35 cubic feet. I know that MTX makes Thunderforms (or whatever they are called now) that hold 2 10's, but I'm having trouble finding what kind of airspace they run. These were just for references. If I can make it work I will build my own enclosure. The thing that worries me is finding a GOOD sub that will fit. I'm loo…

Friend is looking to buy a sub to put in the back of his Chevy Tracker, with a buget of $100. His goals are strictly output. He wants it loud... He has no idea what SQ is, so that's not an issue. He had 4 12" Wal-Mart Duals at one point and swore they were the best sounding things on the market. He listens to nothing but rap. I will be building the box, tuned to ~33hz for his musical taste. I'm not exactly sure the max volume I can get away with back there, but I know it's not much. I'm guessing a 12 will be the biggest we can go and still remain in optimal specs. He has a 600 watt amp to push whatever he buys @ 2 ohms, or 4 ohms bridged. What are suggestions as to what …

I am driving a 2006 Dodge quad cab pick up and need suggestions on speakers. The head unit will be an Alpine 138bt and I just bought a Zed Leviaten. I am waiting on a Fox acoustics 12" sealed box with probably a PowerBass 2X subwoofer going in. The truck currently has Polk Momo 6.5(rear) and 6x9(front) in the doors. I like listening to Rock, slow jazz and acoustical music. I'm looking for some tips as to whether I should keep the Polk, run the sub off the Zed or get another amp for the sub. I would like to hear clarity as much as possible. There are also two tweeters in the dash that I don't know what they are.(installer threw them in for me.) Would the recomendation be a…

So I have a 15" fi Q with a 1500 watt clarion amp in my accord, but im looking to trade in the q for something else. I can not afford a new amp, or any electronics upgrades, so 1500 @ 1 ohm is my max power. Im tired of the q because i have almost no trunk space right now and it makes grocery shopping for 3 or 4 people kind of difficult. Im not sure if it would sound good in a 3^3 ish box but FI says it can be from 2.8-4, but something new is always fun so ill probably switch out. I want to stay as close as possible to as loud as I am now, and want it to sound even from low lows to higher lows...(my 45-60 response is rather weak right now but i think its because its a 4^3 …

Anyone have any experience with is sub? I know that TC just start back up recently but was hoping to get some info on it. What size ported box would be optimum for this driver? Will it be able to handle an AQ2000 am or will that be over-kill? How does this driver compare to other drivers you have used. Is it more SQ or SPL geard? Is it durable in terms of extreme daily uses. How accurate is it? Am wanting to know anything about the sub that is out there right now. I tried accessing the site but got nothing. Thanks

Hello, I have a friend that just had his sub and amp removed in a unfriendly way from his 2000 Toyota Tundra access cab. He is thinking about putting a new one back in but not visible this time. he was told by a local shop they had a console that could replace his that would have a ten in it. they would of course rape him on the price of that and the install price. I looked around and so far can only find a dual eight under the back seat box. Does anyone have ideas what could work or any other suggestions. He is not proficient with fiberglass or installing. I will do the install but I do not have the time to do a comprehensive install that will take days to do. thanks in…

  13. I recently wanted to have a under the seat build for my truck, but now I've come up with the decision to go a little bit bigger with the enclosure. I don't want to take my seats completely out. my plan is to flip my seats up and build a box that's I can take out if I needed to use my rear seat. 15' s are out the question cause the enclosure will be to large to move around, so my options are multiple 10' s or 12' s. I have my saz-3500 but I plan on selling it and get a saz-4500 or two crescendo bc2000's I want to keep the price of the subs under $1000. I listen to 90% rap and I will not be competing. the source I have to work with is W-50 D-16 H-17.5

now i've heard that tweeters are very tempermental. i've heard stories of them conestantly blowing due to WAY to much power.... now upon thinking you could just hook up a crossover and restrict the power? right? also with the current engineering of the 6.5's and 6x9's is it even worth it to put in 2 or even 4 tweeters? (two in the front pillars, two by backseat passangers head). also the V-MAX cerwin vega seem like a good deal for about 50$ you get the 2 tweets and a crossover or in that case is it better to go with a higher end tweet system (if one is needed at all) and spend the extra 40$ per pair? my current system (after getting some things) 2 alpine type S 6x9's in t…

Hey guys, seeking some good advice here. First let me say there is not much to choose from in my area except the usual mainstream brands in the nice wall displays. I have Infinity home floor speakers (cant recall model right now), and 2 Infinity 12" Entra Sub two's and I have been pretty pleased with them, so I went and bought some refrence 6.5 coaxial and a set of refrence 6.5 seperates for the Yukon doors. I bought them mainly because I like my Infinity home set up, and the fact they are both 2ohm so they wouldnt require any special wireing to get the most out of my amp. Well that turned out to be a bad idea. The amp I am using for mids/highs is the Rockford Fosgate 45…

I purchased a pair back in '08 and used them for about 6 months or so and then took the box out of under my seat to make room for a hunting trip and never put it back. Going to sell them but can not remember nor find the specs on them. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

  22. Hi all.Im wanting to replace my 2 type r 15's with 1 18 or maybe 2 different 15's.I would like to just have 1 18 so I was wondering what would be a good 18 to replace my 2 15's?Right now I have a clarion CZ 200 head unit, and a Autotek 1500 Street Machine amp.My car is a 1977 oldsmobile Delta 88 and my subs are in the trunk and thats where the 18 would go also.I was thinking about the FI BL 18" sub.Im not real familar with any other brands so any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks. EDIT: Forgot to mention I would like the single 18 to be louder than the 2 15's

I'm going to attempt my first door pods. There not going to be down low and the bottom of the door like most. Mine will be up a little higher. My question is, whats the best way to face them??? Should they (6.5" mid & 1" tweet RE's RE comp set) both (pass & driver) be angle up towards me? Or the one on the pass. side angled towards me, and driver towards the pass.? Or what other suggestions would you recommend?

Currently own 1 Fi BL 15 and I have been looking into competing. I have been doing some reading and a common limitation for the lowest power class in USACI, (1-600watts at 4 ohms? best I could find: stock 1, street beat 1, etc.) is one 12", two 10" or 3 8". Feel free to correct me and my stupidity any time! If I was looking to compete in said class(es), one 12 seems to be the cheapest route, so here are the options I have found for my budget, (whatever I can get for my BL + less than $100) 1: Used DC level 4 XL, (dual one) for ~ $290 (should I turn into dual 2? is that possible?) 2: Just the motor of the level 4 XL (send it into PSI or something and get it rebuilt?) …

i know this isn't really the sight for marine audio, but i got sooooo much help from the forums here about car audio. i recently put a 18" fi btl sub in my jeep. I have a brand new mb sports wakeboarding boat, and the stock system it has is weak! i want to replace the stock speakers, head unit, and put tower speakers, and at least 1 12" sub in the boat. i don't know anything about marine audio though, i need to know good brands out there, install tips, and pretty much everything there is to know about installing boat systems. so if any of you know a thing or two, or could point me in the right direction, it would be AWESOME!!! thanks!
