One of the coils on my 12" Mag is blown (I Think). when we wired the sub in series on a Volt meter the DCR was only @ like 1.5 ohms. Me and squeak9798 tested it @ his house and I think it took a big bite. Would there be anyway either Stereo Integrity or RE could rebuild this woofer for me? I am willing to pay and ship it to get it Fixed. I am sick of having no bass.

I'm looking to install a single 10" subwoofer under the rear seat of my '18 Ram 2500. The enclosure is sealed with a gross volume of 0.8 cubic feet. The amp hasn't been purchased yet, but I'm leaning heavily toward the new Sundown SFB1000D which would provide 1k watts at 2ohms. I'm looking for sound quality while still having the ability to get reasonably loud. I listen to rock, metal and rap. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 10" GCON, but I'd like to get opinions on any other subs I should be looking at before ordering. Budget is <$400.

Hey guys, A thought has hit me as I look through the forums, and I was wondering if anybody could give me their opinion on this matter. Ok, so why when somebody decides to focus on the "Front stage", do they only focus on the front two doors? I understand that the driver is up front, so maybe that is the primary reason for this. When I look at a install, I would see anywhere from two to eight door speakers but only in the front two doors. I don't understand why isn't it kept to the equal amount of speakers that are in the back two doors, or for cars, the back deck? To me, if I was to put 3 door speakers up front, I would put 3 door speakers in the back as well. I underst…

I'm trying to soak up as much information as I can for my next upgrade. But having difficult making a decision on my new sub setup. Too many different subs to choose from and then do I go ported or sealed. So far all I have ran is sealed Pioneer and Alpine amps/subs. But now I am looking to broaden my horizons and try something new. I took the first step and went with an MB Quart DSC1000.1 amp to power my Alpine SWR-1222D at 1Ohm in a sealed ~1.25ft³ enclosure (Scosche prefab. Best thing about it is the spring loaded terminal cup). Been thinking of either going 2 sealed 12's at approx 500w rms each or 1 ported 12 at 750 - 1500w rms. So far I have looked at the followin…

I recently read that if you were to have 2 speakers play the same frequency that they will cancel and would be about the same loudness if I were to play a single speaker. I have 2 sets of components in my front and am wondering if they would sound just as loud with a single set? People add more subwoofers and they get louder so I just don't understand why it makes a differnece.

So I finally installed my cheap Rockford components (well tried too) and they don't fit. Every place on line says that my jimmy has 6.5s but these are just barely too big. So since I already have them do i need to buy different speaker housing or can i just cut out a circle of wood, glue it to the housing and then screw the speaker to that?

trying to figure out which setup would be better. either 4 Planet Audio TQ150DVC 15" dual 4-ohm TORQ subwoofers on an Audioque 2200D in a sealed box with 2 cu ft per sub. or 1 MA Audio MA1800XL 18" dual 4-Ohm subwoofer on an Audioque 2200D in a round port box tuned to 32hz with 5 cu ft for the sub. setup would be in the trunk of a 2nd gen Altima. sound i'm looking for is really loud deep bass, the kind that vibrates the air in your lungs (or as close to that as i can get ). electrical upgrades will be done (big 3, 0 ga, etc). i hope this is enough information for you all to help. thanks.

Since my RCA pictures and speaker wire comments pretty much started a fire last time, here is the official thread to either put up or shut up. I will send out a 20 foot piece of Omni speaker CABLE (no interconnects like I have, as they are just too expensive to send out like that). Twenty feet is more than enough to swap out one side of a stereo with. What I advise doing is only putting this wire on one side of your system, whether it be car or home, and take a listen to the difference. Reply to this topic only if you wish to be on the demo list. I will pay for shipping to a person, and then when that person gets the wire they pay shipping to the next person, and so-on a…

Ok so i was looking for a couple of 10 inch subs that don't cost too much but still can do the job with no problems. 500w RMS each and good sound plus some good excursion. Then i find this sub. Now i know Phoenix Gold is not the best out there but these things look pretty solid. Link for pics/specs http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18824_Phoenix+Gold+RSdC104+-RSdC+104-.html So does anyone know anything about these? I'm open to suggestions as well. I will be using a Sundown SAZ 1000 to power them. Any info on this at all? Anyone? Thanks in advance.

  17. i mapped out some EQ settings in a new box design. 9 cubic feet with a 32 hz tuning and 128 port area. Fi audio SP4 18 on a ZX2500.1 this is my first time ever looking into any EQ or using win isd to this level. im sure most of you will remember that my goal here is to get a flat responce curve with as few peaks as possible up into the 65hz range for the music i like. am i on the right track here? a gain of 3 db @ 65hz a static gain of 2db across the system a gain of 3db at 32hz a gain of -3.5db at 38hz a gain of 2db @ 50hz xover at 100hz sub sonic at 28hz air velocity is 20m/s impedance does not drop below 3.6ohm while inside of xover frequencies. max VA is 4KW …

What do you guys think I should do, just a pair of 2 way comps, or should I also get some 6x9's in the back as well? Some people say just the fronts matter, but some others say to get rears as well. I drive a 07 camry ce. Let me know your guys opinions. I want to hit mids and highs with crisp clear sound. Listen to mainly rap/hiphop/funk.

  20. Today I pulled out my 3 way Dynaudio 362 set today and I see that I have one tweeter blown. I don't know that I want to spend $300 on a replacement set either. I didn't love them that much. lol I am going to run passive as I have the 3-way passive crossovers and dont want to add all the extra amps to go active. I am trying to keep this to a minimum both with weight and equipment used. I am going to put the 8" woofer in the door and 3" mids with 1" tweeters in the kicks. I found that worked better when I was passive on this set so thats where I am going to start first. The passive tweeeter is a second order @ 3.5khz (12db), the mid and woofer are first order 900-3500 (6db)…

I just picked up an 03 Tahoe. I'm wanting to buy a above average set of components. At this stage vehicle is bone stock. I plan to use only stock locations. Mid around knee to lower knee height. Tweet up in the pillar aiming up towards middle of windshield. Budget is roughly $300 for the pair. Sub stage will be a btl 18 and a saz1500. Will power these components with possibly an older 800.4 fosgate. Looking for suggestions on sets that are out there and any experience anyone has had with these they can share. Prob won't go active, kind of intimidated by it lol.

  22. I'm getting 2 12's of either kind. What's most important to me is the SQ, then the lows, and then SPL. I will have all the upgrades I need, as far as BIG 3, H/O Alternator, and XS power battery ( based on which subs i choose). The box i have is 5cuft tuned to 30Hz. Also if i decide the BL or Q i will get the 2 Sundown SAZ-1000D or 1 SAZ-2000D, If i choose the XCONS i will get a sundown SAZ-3500D, If i choose the Havocs I will pre-ordder the Sun-down SAZ-2500D. What will get louder? What will sound the best while being loud? & What will hit the lows the best while being loud and having good SQ? Also money is not a problem. Any input is helpful Thanks guys

Unfortunitely I need to build a new home for my XCON 15. The current enclosure is 4^3ft net tuned to 32hz. I love it. The output is good and the sound quality is great. BUT!!! I need to get some cargo area back. After tossing around a few ideas I decided to sick with my XCON but build a 3.0^3ft sealed enclosure for it. I am really going to miss the ported output How much polyfill should I add in the enclosure? Will the sub still handle 1750wrms daily?

How would you best characterize the IXL series of subs? Made to be accurate? Made to get loud? Somewhere in the middle? Reason that I'm asking is I'm looking for a sub for a small sealed box to integrate with a system built with musical accuracy in mind.
