Subwoofers / Speakers

I'm just curious is all. Looking at these for my application they don't look back spec wise. $ wise is really good for me. I'm broke as a joke right now. Sealed box like .8ft^3 ish depending on where I buy the box. Could be .5 could be .65 could be .85. So this 10" wants .75 so im in the ballpark. I've just never heard of these. Tried the search and 0 results found. Gotta be an error. Are these as bad as the price reflects?

Well, I'm looking to painlessly install some stuff in my truck I don't feel like cutting and welding and I MUST retain all of my bed, so the only space available is behind the seat, I've done some research and the best value to me for my buck seems to be the JL 12TW3. I was looking at the Alpine Type Rs, but I'm not spending $600 for one driver. . . From Alpine. . . That's just absurd. Does anyone have any input or experience with any other brands?

I have an 07 ram quad cab. Second time owning this truck. It has hertz energy 6.5"comps in doors and hertz dieci 5.25" in rear doors. I have a jl XD500/3 on comps and the sub channel puts out 300 at 2ohms. I will not change amps. I will be buying that under seat box for 1 10" .65-.8ft^3 depending on which box I decide to get. So I want SQ. Loud is subjective loud to me wont be loud to you all I know. I really want to fill in the bottom octaves is ideally what I want. So what sub for the small sealed box and 300 watts? Pricing the cheaper the better $125 is probably the max cause thats $200 for sub and box and im broke for car audio. …

I'm looking for the best set of component speakers around $100 and coaxial around $50-60. Doing a budget build in my new car. Speakers will be powered by NVX JAD900.5 about 70w at 4ohm First I was looking at the NVX V-series 6.5" component and coaxial. They have decent reviews I can get both speakers in a set for $129.99 What are some other options in the same price range. I'll be using a sundown sa-8 v3 for a sub. Just want something that will sound good with it.

My build is very budget oriented as I am 18 and in college but that's not to say i do not take my bass seriously. Got the 12" hellion installed earlier today. Thought would take around 3 to 4 hours. But ended up taking 7 hours for amp install, LOC, sub into box, and box into trunk, tuned a bit and all good. The installer seems very knowledgable and super chill dude. I feel bad that it took so long... I was there just hanging out and talking with him throughout the whole thing and paying attention to learn some. Will post more pics tomorrow hopefully after work. I've got a question regarding my XCON, it looks like the glue is separating from the cone and the surround on the underside of the sub. I was wondering how to go about repairing this issue. Thanks in advance.

So I see theres a subwoofer that comes in a 4 ohm and a 2 ohm version. I believe a 2 ohm version would be easier to run and most D class amps are compatible with lower ohm rated subwoofers? So is the only reason between the versions, based on which amplifier you have? Just trying to understand this. Thanks! Also, yes I did buy an Acura TLX 2017 tech. With the ELS speaker system. I was wondering if anyone had any input on this matter So I have a single 15" xcon that I can barely fit into my trunk, it's a 2005 grand prix. I've built two boxes for it and both of them will not fit smooth in the trunk. Meaning I tried to get the optimal box volume for the sub and it wouldn't fit unless I put the top plate on after it was in the trunk. Not a good idea when trying to remove it. So I was thinking of maybe trying 4 8 inch subs. I just wanted to hear if any one had any thoughts of the output comparison. Will the output be somewhat close to the 15, will it have a completely different sound. I've never heard 4 8s so I have no idea how it will sound

I'm thinking about trying to build a subwoofer with a Ti basket and a 3'' 400 oz motor but I don't know what would be the best voice coil for it

I have a question.. Just brought a AU-SPL 12 dvc 4 ohm.. I see is that only connection to 2 ohm amp.. Is there a way i can connect to 1 ohm amp from dvc 4 ohm single sub?

So the new SQ hdx are out and just wondering who has played with the 12s, I’m contemplating getting them in the dual 1s and want to know what people think? Only person I know running them has a wall of the 15s and I run 2 12s so not quite the comparison

I don't want to upgrade my amp at the moment so I have to use my Skar rp1500.1, its just north of 1400 watts RMS at 1 ohm. I want to get the most bass I can but I can't decide which sub to go with? I'm leaning toward a single VXF-15 but I was hoping to hear some other ideas. I currently have 2 JL Audio Kappa 120.9s in a sealed box and I want to replace them to get some actual bass. These sound nice but I want something that can actually handle the power I have to offer. These are a wimpy 350 watts each . Regarding enclosure size, like most people I want to keep some trunk space, 4 cubes is max. So what would you do?

So, I have a sundown ZV4 15 that I bought off someone online. I knew it had been previously reconed. I've only had it for about 3 months and now only when it hits higher bass notes like 45hrts and up I get this annoying vib. Anything under 45hrts even low 20's it sounds beautiful. Did the person that previously reconed it do something wrong or what. And how do I go about building a new kit?

What I have to work with (30-33" L, 10" W, 15-20" H) has limited me to a set of (2) 8's it seems, even though physically I have the volume for 10's or a 12. I have it dialed down to a few subs and I was curious what you guys think? This topic is beating a dead horse, I know. But I'm looking to throw 7-800 RMS on each 8. Looking for something that has some authority in the 32-36 hertz range. My music is 99% rap or decaf with some low bass. I need a recone kit for a Sa d4 15 750 rms

I am going to buy a 1500W amp and thinking of purchasing a U series Sundown Audio 12” subwoofer, I have a Sound Ordnance BassBunker ported for 1.83 cubic foot volume with 34 hertz frequency. This sub says it needs 2.0ft^3 for ported, will my box be just enough to use this sub or not? I don’t want to really build/purchase new box as I just got this one. Any info would be helpful!

Hi All, I am currently looking to upgrade my two Audioque HDS3.1 (probably 4-5 years old or so, but still in good condition) which is currently paired with a SKAR SK-2500. They sound great but I am looking for deeper and lower bass so I was considering getting just one large sub (a 15" or 18"). I currently have a car audio battery so I think I have enough power and have just recently understood that more cone surface area equals deeper and fatter bass. Well bad news. Was about to order the second level 6 18 but apparently all the m4 motors are gone. Theve just released the m5 motor. Soo it was all up in the air over either some sp4v2's or new btl neo's. Tried contacting FI three separate times over the past few months with no response. Thus it looks like I shall order a pair of evils in the next couple weeks. I'm not bashing. But I've seen the service ssa provides. And that's the service I'd like to get as a paying customer. God knows this isn't a cheap hobby.

So I’ve narrowed my choices down to the FI Q Neo 15 and the FI BTL Neo 15. My indecision is which would be best for my tastes/application. I’ve never had a system as quality as what I’m looking to get into, so I’d like to get everything right and feel satisfied with the end result. I’ve had 1 15” l7 and 2 12” l7 over the last 6 years. Both systems were adequate, however, the most recent system being the 2 12s wasn’t put together properly by the audio shop I had install and build the box for them to be housed in.
