Any one had experience with any of them I've heard a ton of good things about the ab xfl not sure what route I'm going to go will be in a sealed clamshell I want to be able to slam lows but still put up a decent number

i have a fi bl 18 with the hyperpole and flatwind coils and i want to get loud but deep loud not a high tuned loud so would any one like to share there opinion on if i should get another fi or get 2 aq hdc3 18s and sell my fi or does any body have any other suggestions to get

How long do you guys recommend breaking in the ssd's b4 going to competition with them and putting a lot of power on them?

Purchased the New Minataur II, Currently have two IDQ 10's running off a Zapco Comp 300 (Will be replaced with the Minatuar), Sounds decent, Was possibly looking to pick up a single Alumapro Alchemy MX 12 and giving that a shot instead of the two 10's, I'm pretty much in to SQ and prefer tight base but def dont mind it getting a bit load every now and then. im about to do a new setup for my single cab. not sure on the amp yet but im wanting around 1200 - 1500 watts depending on setup.ive considering doing 2 10 " SA SD'2's ported.or even thought about doing 1 " 12 SSA Icon ported. im limited on space but can make the box long and should be able to get proper airspace depending on what i go with. any opinions for me?

Hey eveybody ive been doing a little research and ive narrowed it down to these two subs and cant decide which to go with as if now for electrical i have a yellow top under the hood and the big 3 done and will be adding another battery in the back probably xs d3100 and for the amp im planning on going with cresendo 2250 and its all going in a 1988 suburban not looking for numbers just a good loud daily sub.

Simple question here how much can a vvx 8" handle? I know it says 400rms but for those who own them would I be able to put lets say 600rms for daily use? And how good are they?

One of my d1 SSA icons is not hitting near as hard as the other. I have them wired to 4 ohms. I followed 12volt wiring diagram for it. I tried swapping wires on one sub to change phase but it didn't really do anything, maybe helped a bit. Its been like this since I hooked them up. Any ideas?

So I'm trying this whole active thing out with drivers I had laying around. I was actually pretty impressed how the random drivers sounded so I figured I could spend some money on stuff. But before I purchase, I keep seeing people saying that to make a certain driver sound good it needs a "notch filter" to smooth out the response. I researched and now I know exactly what it means, but I don't want to build one (mostly because I have no clue how to do that) so I was thinking...and I realized that they're using the notch filters for the same thing we use an EQ for in a car...right? I just wondering if there is a way to calculate how much port area you need? I know a basic way to do this is to have 16 square inches of port area for every cube of box volume. I also know that port area needed for a driver has nothing to do with the volume of the enclosure. so how would I calculate the right amount of port area for a driver?

I've been browsing speakers to replace in my doors as my project is finally coming together and I came across the "Vipera f6." http://lautsprechershop.de/pdf/audiodevelopment/f_line.pdf 26mm xmax... Wow that blows away the exodus anarchy. I highly doubt I would buy them (at around $280 each) however I was wondering if anyone has ever used this midbass or their other products? Hey SSA, I am in need of some help selecting which subwoofers to go with that would be fit my application. I'm going to try to give as much info as possible about goals, requirments ect.. I have done lots of research on the drivers that I'm considering and while there all quality drivers, I do not have personal experance with any of them so it's somewhat hard to make a choice. I have a 2006 KIA SPECTRA SX sedan. I have HAT Unity U-61 powered by an Arc Audio KS 300.2 amp I have a TREO RSX 1600 amp who is subless. TREO RSX 1600 312 x 1 @ 2 ohm 600 x 1 @ 1 ohm I am looking for a subwoofer that can handle Jazz music? I am not sure which subwoofer to go with that amp. I am not sure if I should do Fi Audio, Incriminator Audio SSA, Boston Acoustics, Image Dynamics or Arc Audio. I am looking for something for under $200 because of financial reasons. I am not sure if I woudl do sealed or ported plus I am not sure if I should go 10 or 12. Thank you.

If you have 750 to spend on subs what would you get?

I plan on running either one sa8 v2 or two v1.5s. They both would end up being about the same price ordering the 1.5s from woofercooker reconed. These will be going in a 4th order band pass. My question is are the v2s so much of an improvement that I should get one of those or would two 1.5s be louder? I was too focused on 18s while the whole sa8 train was going around so I missed all the info on them. Thanks.

Alright so I decided to go for the two Sundown E series 12" subwoofers rather than the SA series 15" subwoofer. I was told and thought the answer was reasonable, that two 12" E series will have better SQ and SPL than a single SA series 15" sub. I was wondering if anyone had them(The E series 12's), and would recommend a certain Ported enclosure size, I'm going to use Aero Ports... My max dimensions are 14h x 34w x 20d. I don't want to go any bigger, I'd enjoy a little wiggle room in my trunk. Height and Width are maxed, Depth can be extended quite a bit. I'm thinking of tuning my box to around 30-35Hz. I just had a mtx 9512-44 go out on me. Pretty sure it's the voice coils. I've had it for nine years (and its taken many trophies) do u guys know if mtx will repair it? Already ordered fi bl's to take its place, but would still like to have this sub. Sentimental value I guess.

I have Scan-Speak Discovery D2608/9130 in mdf rings mounted to my dash and windshield with double sided tape. One of them came off the dash on a hot day. When I picked it up I realized the double magnets aren't glued together anymore. Here are some pics. Can I just clean up the surfaces with some denatured alcohol, apply some CA glue and clamp the magnet back together?

does anybody have any experience with the RF pro audios? i'm thinking about getting the 6.5's and 8's to put in the Hummer. anybody have any better ideas for pro audio mids? i've been back and forth with a few different companys, but i think for the price these look pretty decent.
