  2. Hey guy, am putting together a system for my ride which is a 2003 dodge Dakota Ext. Cab. Am planning on running 2 12" sealed in a 2.5 cu.ft (Net) enclosure because am a big guy and I don't have the additional space to go ported. Am debating whether to go with the Incriminator Audio LI 12 or the Sundown SA-12. I will be running the Sundown SAX or SAZ 1200D amp. Am done with the Big 3 upgrade, and am using a UPS12-490MR battery to power my vehicle off of a stock alternator which is around 130 amp @ 3000 RPM, hopefully this will be enough to prevent dimming. I haven't had any subwoofer experience with any of the 2 brands mentioned but from what I have read, both drivers a…

Ok heres the deal. Im getting ready to sell my Assassins to go with a different setup. Im especially intereseted in the MJ18. After playing around with different box sizes, I have calculated that the biggest box I can get out of the Maxima is about 8.5 cubes NET while sitll being able to take it in and out of the car. What would you guys do with this space? I have a few otions. I can port two Mj's with about 4 cubes each after all displacement. two 4 inch ports would be used. Will this choke the 18s too much? I can seal each MJ in 4 cubes or less. Or I can do a single ported MJ in about 8 cubes. With a dual setup (4 ohm version)Each MJ will recieve 500 watts. With only …

Well this is just something that had been laying around a friends house and was given to me to use. I don't know much about it other than it's a 15" and has dual 4 ohm coils. The person who had it before me couldn't really tell me much about who made it or anything but I figured I'd post some pics and share it with you guys. Who knows maybe someone has seen one? I haven't had a chance to see it in action but when I do I'll let you know what I think. EDITED: Actually 4 ohm coils not 3, my mistake.

This was posted on a different forum and I'd like some input from some of brainiacs on this forum. It seemed to be a simple answer at first, but became more complicated the more I thought about it. I don't know if more information is needed to answer this or not. Here's the proposed question as well as a link to the thread. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/general-car-audio-discussion-no-question-dumb/110780-noobish-question-but-ive-never-heard-answered-fully-sealed-vs-ib-output.html

  9. The Fi BTL NEO that I ordered has a 2ohm Re rating of 1.8 so wiring in parallel i should be at .9ish ohms before possible box rise and any damping factors. I bought the AA 3800.1D and just purchased a North Star AGM31 for the back. I know my box is built to spec, tuned at 32hz, braced like a champ and stiff as humanly possible...here is my question/concern... I just want to understand as much as i can without getting overly technical on ohm's and voltage vs impedance and it's variance...As a daily listener I'm just looking more about what power I will be feeding this sub while wired to "1" ohm around 13.5v...I just hope I don't fall into some 3 ohm situation after al…

I'm planning to purchase a 3500D I also plan to purchase a new sub for it in the near future. I'd like to hear some opinions on which I should buy a fully loaded Fi BTL 15" or a DC LVL 5 15" I debated on a Nightshade 15 as well but they are not rated for this much power daily, maybe when the monster is released I'll switch over to a sundown sub. Thanks

Hi I have a 2008 BMW 328i Sedan with the standard Hi-Fi stereo system (1" tweets, 4" midranges, 8" midbass) I been looking around E90Post to see what people have been replacing their components with and found that most put Focal, MB Quart, Morel or Earthquake (for the midbass). However, after looking around other places, I saw this brand that calls themselves the best when it comes to SQ? The brand is Hybrid Audio and they have a bunch of trophies from SQ competitions. I want to put the very best as I drive this car a lot and dont want to be worrying about upgrading in the future. This is the "best" they offer = Legatia L841-3 Pro Component Speaker Set Exactly what I need…

  14. hey guys! just checking if you had any information about the Audioque HDC3 sub? I've seen some things on the internet about them being comparable to the BL but judging by the specs, they appear to be a bit more SPL oriented then the BL's let me know if you've heard anything good or bad! or which one you'd pick between HDC3 or BL

I have my 18" fi ssd running off a Sundown sax-1200d... I really want to upgrade or try something new, but I don't really want to spend tons.. If i don't get another 18 that can fit the box I already have, then I will probably just build a sealed box next. Some ideas i had but need input on are, an 18" xcon if I could find one used or a 18" btl used.. these could fit in my box already and use same tuning. OR I thought about like 3 SA-10's sealed? because someone on here has 4 sa-10s for sale.. But I dont know if sa-10s sound good/loud sealed, and are 3 sa-10s going to be much of an upgrade to an 18" ssd?.. I wish I could get like 3- 10" icons but noone has them used eve…

Vehicle: 2003 Acura RSX Budget: $300-$450 Amp: NVX JAD800.4 Im looking to keep it simple and go passive with Two 6.5' components per door, & One tweeter per door. Will be having a fellow friend with experience fabricating doors do the install. So far Ive from a quick search, Im looking at the Incriminator Audio I6.5c's, or Image Dynamics ID65CS components...Anyone have any experience with either of these or any other suggestions? Pretty set on doing only one tweeter per door, any info on going with only one or going 2 per door would be great.

Is there a 1000w sub that is all around better then the Fi Bl in its price range? Post anything you may have had experience that you think would beat it in output and sound quality. This is just to see whats in my league or better.

I'm looking for a good component set to pair up with my SSA Xcon 10 for my 350z! The doors have 6.5" speaker sizes, but I've also found custom door panels made for 2 speakers (looks like a 6.5" and a 5") Link - http://www.wickedcas.com/gallery/v/wcasdesign/Cutomdoors/100_0968small.jpg.html I'm planning to get the RF 600.4 amp so I'd be looking for something around the 150rms range -Kyle

Looks like this new awesome sub will actually be going into my girlfriends alero. The goal that I am trying to acomplish is to make everything hiddin from the trunk view. So the sub will fire into the cabin, as well as the port. I would like to seal the box from the trunk, and match the fabric from inside the trunk so you can't tell that she has anything in there. I want this sub to get reallllly loud, it needs to sound pretty good too.. but loud is good I am pretty good at building things... i have built a few sealed boxes that worked really well, but i have yet to experiment with a ported enclouser. The hifonics 1000D seems like the amp i am leaning towards, but i ha…

I walked into a local stereo shop looking to get some carpet for a speaker box and they had an Eclipse Titanium 15". I had not seen one of these in a few years. They were asking $250 for it, it was an old floor model I believe. Is that a good price for one of these? I recall they were quite a bit back then. Would $250 be worth it? I was getting ready to re-install my 12" Soundsplinter RLP into my new car and saw this and gave me second thoughts.

  22. soo... i have since sold my 18" XCON and saz1500 since my alternator could not keep up at all. i will be getting a 320HP from DC. and maybe upgrading to a 270XP if that doesnt do enough for me. so, here are my plans: keeping my headunit (Kenwood HD545U) going to be using 2 SAZ-2500D's for which ever substage i go with. i know i will need to get a ton of SDS (sound deadener showdown) not quite sure on my front stage yet. i would like to stay passive. i dont have much room for custom fabrication. but i would like to keep my Hertz hsk165 components. maybe somehow add an additional set? if i go this route, i will get a Sundown saz100.4 Where i need opinions is my substage!…
