Hey guys , So , I bwew up one of my tweeters (playing with my x overs while at high volume , I know its stupid!) and since I'm changing I want to adress a annoying door-resonance I've got @ 2,5khz , I've had a peerless 830987 3inch fullrange paired with a 7inch before and I liked it , but I want better/more highs system consists of an Alpine 117r1 along with the h100 processor , an Becker energy400 4x100Wrms amp , AA havoc carbons mounted in the doors and in the back an AA SMD 18d2, 6.2cuft tuned to 27hz at the moment but tuning will change in near future. Hello once again! I've had my eyes drooling (yes this makes no sense but roll with it) over a component set of JBL 670 GTi's. Though I ran into a problem. With my knowledge only beginning to spark in the car audio field I've been using Crutchfield as almost a cheat sheet in finding if something fits my vehicle, and they said this set would not, as well did the JBL site. Though their reasoning was only that the depth of the speaker was slightly off (refer to picture). Is this an easy to fix problem?? Or has the pooch been screwed?? Thank you to anyone who replies!

I want to buy 2 Fi BTL 18" but the place where I would be getting it installed at want to sell me 2 Addictive Audio 18", but they only have 2000 watts RMS each and I want 4000 to 5000 watts RMS. you guys think that i can get a Fi BTL with that kind of power. I still dont have any amps. For 2 Addictive audio they want to sell it to me for $1000. I need all you guys opinon.

After looking through diycable.com, I came across the Exodus Maelstrom line subwoofers. I am getting the Ex-Anarchys and when I saw the 21" monster I did some investigating. I have seen that it is apparently a beast of a home theater sub so I thought I would run an idea by you guys. How about two of these in a 20 ft.^3 box tuned to somewhere in the neighborhood of 24Hz? I was thinking maybe a couple of sundowns, 2500ds or 3500ds, or something like that to run them. I would be looking for absurd low end response, and I know it's not a SPL sub by any means, but what kind of output would that yield? Greetings, This is actually my first thread/post on SSA, so first off I would like to say hello and any information that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Hi there i am little bit confused where i live the mille cost 2 times more then the clarus but what is better speakers you think?

As the topic title reads I need info on ID horns. I have 2 sets of horns. Both sets are full size. I have had minimal results searching for info on these horns. One set came with the install and tuning instructions. What I am looking for is the correct crossover freq. for these sets, power ratings, and the advantages of one set over the other. I did find this link for what I beleive is the V-2 version PDF but the driver in the second set of pictures does not match the driver in the PDF. Any info or input you can provide is appreciated. 1st set-Beleived to be CD1E-V1 2nd set-Paper work that came with it states-CD1E-V.2

my friend and i made a ported box with 2 separate chambers ... 1 chamber for each sub ... each has its own portl .... for some reason in one of the chambers a flapping noise is coming out of the port ... the other sub seems fine and no flap is coming out ... each sub is wired independently as well ... we took the sub out and vacuumed the chamber and the noise is still there ... what could this be? ... is it possible that there is something wrong with the sub causing it to flap? .... the noise fluctuates with the frequency ... ex lower frequency will create a harder slower flap

Ok I just got my Xcon 18 sub installed and am having a frustrating issue. At higher volumes and low tones the sub rattles! The moment I noticed it started I looking for the cause. I tried tightening the screws and adjusting the seal just in case there was an air leak and quickly figured out that was not the issue. I then thought maybe it was the box (a 6.5 cube ported box) but was able to conclude it was not. I then decided to push slightly with my thumb on the center of the dust cover while the sub was playing hard (and rattling) and the noise stopped. Is my dust cover loose? If not, what is the issue? The sub is brand new and literally just installed. It sounds so nasty…

I am working on an SQ-oriented install and am trying to figure out where I want everything laid out. Anyway, is there any major drawback someone can come up with if I were to fire the subs up (sealed box)? I know the only true way to find out is to try it and see, but the box dimensions will be different depending on the direction (an I don't have time to build 2-4 boxes and find out). Any quick tips or ideas are greatly appreciated. ML

good combo? 2 15mags and 2 massive audio p1000.1 amps...i was told the p3000.1 or the 1000.1 but the 3000.1 is huge and would take up too much space and also cost $50 more. or is their a better combo amp/sub to run besides these subs? thanks! the IA 20.1 is "out of stock for a while"

I walked into a local stereo shop looking to get some carpet for a speaker box and they had an Eclipse Titanium 15". I had not seen one of these in a few years. They were asking $250 for it, it was an old floor model I believe. Is that a good price for one of these? I recall they were quite a bit back then. Would $250 be worth it? I was getting ready to re-install my 12" Soundsplinter RLP into my new car and saw this and gave me second thoughts.

ok since i used a jigsaw my circles for my baffle suck balls so i need to find something to seal the holes i have.. i cant use window seal b/c it will hurt the subs.. anyone have a solution for me?

Just to keep everyone in the loop, my shipment is arriving tomorrow so folks who participated in the IXL-18.4 preorder will be receiving their unit(s) early next week. ok this is my situation i currently have a 2012 Mercedes C350 and just purchased audison fronts and audison rears , audison bit one , and a hertz hx300d 12" sub 600 watt rms 1200 peak all powered by a audison voce 5.1k 5 channel amp that has 1000 watt rms at 2 ohms for subwoofer. In this case I have an original RE Audio SE 12 d2 that I am trying to build a box for but I cant find the needed info. im running a 12inch icon at 1 ohm on a sd sax1200, ported at 32hz. im looking to upgrade for more output. the icon is amazing but i want to move a little more air. contemplating going to an xcon 12 or 15. i like the specs of the sundown x series also. i want something brutal! am i barking up the wrong tree with an xcon? do i have enough power to push one in a 15inch? lemme know what you guys think.

Hey guys well im debating whether or not to get two fi bl or two audioque HDC 12's...the amp pushing them will be either a orion 2500D(both) or a DD M1(each)... They will be installed in a blowthrough enclosure in a 93 Nissan Xtra cab pickup...I was wondering which subs will sound better and get louder if that is possible...the enclosure will be 5 cubes tuned to 33 hz... thanks p.s. all opinions will be appreciated...
