would it be a good deal to buy a re mx 18 that has one bad coil for 100 cash. ive got a quote on a recone of 182 but shipping will be another 60 there and back. what do you all think

In the new year, I plan on picking up 12" IXL's and powering them off an Earthquake PHD3 (3000rms @ 1 ohm). This will all be going into a trunk setup, which will be my 139.9 bassrace machine for next season. My question is, will the IXL's be able to take the power daily?

I had a 08 Fi Bl18 on apprx 1000 watts 7.5 cubes tuned 32hz and I liked the output. I am wondering considering the Bl is a more spl orriented sub and the Fi q is mor sq oriented how much out put am i going to sacrifice if i went with the q. I have now a Fi BL18 09 model fully loaded on ~1500 watts in the same enclosure. I havent heard this one yet as the amp is pending delivery. the next question is would a Incriminator Audio DP 18 in the same box on ~ 1500 watts. would i get the same or more output than the Bl18 and better sq possibly as good as the Q? the reason I ask all this i have no way to audition any of these subs and, Its kinda expensive to just buy 'em to try 'e…

I just recently found out about these and I currently have DLS UP6i's in my 06 trailblazer. Would there be any advantage getting the AA Carbon's over the UP's? I would like a mid that does play better in the 50hz range. It might be just me or even the install, but I find the UP's to be a bit muddy when played loud. Would it be OK, to just swap the DLS's with the Carbon's? I have the doors deadened fairly well also Overall, my main goal is to have the mid dig a little deeper, and be a little cleaner when the volume is turned up. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have a 1995 Honda Accord. I was thinking about putting in some tweets in the a-pillars of my Honda. I don't want to make it a guess and check scenario and mess up my a-pillars. Is there any place or can someone tell me how I can obtain these custom a-pillars or how to make them? Thanks, -Curt

Now that i'm going to have big power available in the home setup i thought about upgrading to an 18. And i found an 05 xxx Any thoughts on using it for the home setup ? There also is a chance i could go IB.

So I've made it pretty obvious that I was ordering a 10" ICON from SSA for a while, but haven't really put up my impressions of it yet. Testing one of these out before i order 4 more to complete the setup Both amps @ .5, havent clamped them yet....i might do that today, but theyll do rated power from other peoples results ive seen Full tilt not clipping the amps itll take the power all day long....when i clip it full tilt gets a bit louder but can start to smell after a min or 2 of a constant song. I have an xtant 1001 it gives 1000 watts rms I need either 2 12's or 1 12 what do you guys think is louder 2 re se 12s or 2 rlp 12s or 1 re sx 12 I only care about SPL whatever I get will be in a ported box thanks in advance

So I am starting a new build and really cant make up my mind on the subs. Its not as much a "which sub problem" as much as it is the enclosure, I dont have experience with either so that is why Im asking for advice. Please keep in mind I have a 2003 maxima. So the dp would have to be sub up port forward with the rest of the trunk space walled off. While the 12's can be sub and port forward with the trunk walled off. My goal is spl, and I have the electrical to back either design. I know cone area is usually a good thing to go by for spl, but I really dont know how much of a difference the enclosures will make to spl or sq. Also keep in mind my current set up is 3 10'…

was looking at Sundown Audio SA-6.5CS and Skar Audio VXI65 6.5 because there on the site. what do u recommend? what other brands and models to you recommend? i havent looked at amps yet but if you can match up some stuff. this will be going with 2 12 icons on a sundown 1200. front and rear speakers are all 6.5.

Well today my little brother and my friend wants to help me with my new build, which is my third. Now I have a couple questions for you guys. I know every install is different. But is there anything other than sundown lol? I'm not bashing them but I want something different. I want to go the ground pounder route, I don't want a wall and trying to keep the subs under $1100 if possible. I have 11 cubes in the back seat area of my crew cab truck but I don't have to use it all. But the subs I can't seem to get out my head is the sundown x's. As far as power...5500 watts is the most I want to run

Is it better to install the tweeters in the dash or somewhere else? For a component set of speakers.

well as it always happens i want to make a little more noise now and im starting to upgrade in the process of getting a t40001bd and 2 d3100 im torn between 2 18" btl's with p chamfer and the hixmax coil OR 2 18" bl's loaded im looking for reliability first and then loud tuned musically 31hz ish i guess my price range is 700-900 depending on whats out there im just trying to keep up i mostly listen to rap but i like how on the Q i can put some rock in and impress people with how the big slow 18 keeps up i got like 11 ^3 ft and polly fill to work with also any input is needed and appreciated

I have been searching all forums and websites for wiring diagrams and color codes and information on switching from a stock 8" factory sub/amp to an aftermarket amp/sub. My hope is to upgrade from the small factory amp and 8" sub to possibly one 12 or two 10s. My first journey started with trying to find out what each color wire going into the factory subbox meant and then I started getting all the advice of what I had to use. I have been flippin back and fourth between subs for a good two weeks just drivin myself crazy. I have finally decided on RE. I can't quite decide if i want to go with 1 15'' SX, or two 12'' Ses. Either way ill go ill probably get an amp just to match the rms, maybe two hundred more, so that being the 15 is 1000, and the 2 twelves are 1200 total, HELP!!
