I went to marks house (mach 5 audio ) 3 days ago and picked up 4 mj 18's So i had to take out the old BTL left my van empty and lacking bass...untill...20 cubes and 30 hz later yes, thats my wire running above the carpet....no i wasnt too lazy to run it under the carpet i just have this place mat carpet the previous owner used in the back of the van so i just put it over the wires, you cant see them and the carpet doesnt move unless i move it. its not a ton louder then my single 15 BTL, but these are tuned to 30hz and i think they might move a bit more air yea the box is fugly but what box isnt after havin 4 big black monsters pounding away in it.

In my case, my big toe found out that a new 45kg bass box, designed by myself but built by Baz V, is a heavy b@stard. In 11 years of the audio game, I have never let anyone near my box building for my own car,, then I got lazy and moved on. Then Baz V came to my attention and I decided to put my money where my mouth is and let him build me a box,, seriously good move,, several weeks later, one mighty Triple Chamber Reflex Box design later and with the help of Andrew J we have two sexy Stereo Integrity Magnum D2 12inch babes in a lush box that fits like a glove into my car. Could I ever move away from the nine year old Emmy

well I wasn't having any luck with WinISD. So I'm asking the experts. I have a Scion tC and need to have as much trunk as possible. I know sealed is most always smaller than ported boxes....but aren't as loud but have better SQ generally. I want the sub to be hit 30Hz at -3dB. I play a lot of rap, metal, and trance and I want it all to be able to sound good. What size sealed box and what size & tuning ported box should I get to fit my needs?

Hey everyone, this post/question is mainly directed toward the big guy. I am wondering which SSA sub you would recommend to me given these limits/stipulations: 2014 Honda Civic Sedan 1500 Watts on tap (Crescendo Symphony 1500) LIMITED SPACE... I am only looking to build and install an enclosure no larger than 1.5 net cubic feet. That being said, I have been considering either a 12" ICON sealed. A 12" XCON sealed (XCON being the most I can afford). Or, one of those two in the 10" variety, ported. This is for a daily driver, and I will need as much trunk space I can get, but still get loud and sound good. What is your input? Anyone else, feel free to chime in…

At this juncture, I don't have a particular subwoofer in mind. I would just like to inquire whether I can build a ported enclosure larger than recommended to obtain a lower tuning. If so, what level of increase could potentially harm the driver? Thank you.

Hello everyone! I just bought an RE SX 18" sub from a friend. Unfortunately it has a blown voice coil. Is it possible to acquire a recone kit for this sub? How much would it be shipped? Thank you ahead of time!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a good 4 channel to finish out my setup. I have 4 sundown 6.5 coaxials, says 80 rms per speaker. Running the Sundown 2.75 full ranges in the dash, 35 rms. I got a little Infinity 2 channel (primus 6002) to run the dash speakers alone. Going to Y off the front rcas coming from my Kenwood DNX997XR for those. Looking for a good high quality SQish 4 channel for the sundowns. Pulled the trigger on a Kenwood XR401-4 but something inside is telling me not to go with big box brands. Something inside means people at my work. That XR401-4 is pending return now and I'm looking at getting a DC Audio 90.4. Just curious if somebody can explain the differences …

Car is a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire, I'm gonna drop an FI Q 10" or 12" (prob 12") in the trunk powered by a Sundown SAX-1200D or if not then an Audioque 1200D. I need to upgrade the 6.5" speakers and tweeters in the doors and was looking for some feedback from people who have some experience with them. They will be powered by the stock 6-channel amplifier. I will be disconnecting the stock 6.5" sub woofers and I can (hopefully) bridge 4 channels into the 2 speakers and the remaining 2 channels will power the tweeters. Im aiming for a SQ setup. Also I will be putting in a Pioneer MVH-P7300 head unit. So with all that information which of these speakers is a good choice: …

how are these subwoofers in terms of SQ/SPL i know that focal is more of a SQ speaker rather than SPL but i was wondering how 2 of these would sound with about 500 watts running to each sub. Also, what kind of box would you put these in? Ported or Sealed One more thing, what kind of amp would you run to power these I was looking at the PG Xenon 1200.1, or the RE 12.1, if you have any other reccomendations let me know Thanks in advance!

ok i have a pair of these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tnumber=294-650 and a pair of these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tNumber=264-422 the B&Cs say 8 ohm nominal, but then it says Re: 5.2 ohms. so that means that theyre actually 5.2 ohms each? and the Seleniums say 8 ohm nominal, but it says Re: 5.9 ohms. im gonna wire 1 B&C and 1 selenium in parallel to ch1, and the 2nd B&C and 2nd selenium in parallel to ch2. at first i was thinking it would make a 4 ohm load per channel, but would it really make a 2.76 ohm load (5.2 ohm and 5.9 ohm) ?

I currently have a Chevy Cobalt LS Coupe and am looking for a new set of component speakers to place in my doors that are $250 or less. I am going to place the tweeter very close to the speaker about 4-6 inches away and the woofer will be in the stock location. I am going to deaden the doors, at a minimum around the speakers, and I want an equal listening experience for passenger and driver so the tweets will be aimed at the center console at listening level. So in terms of off/on axis performance, I am pretty sure this is considered off axis. The woofer size for my doors is 6.5" and the tweeter size just needs to be less than 2 inches as a custom mount is going to b…
