I have decided to go with 2 sets of Iseries comps and a 10" DCON for drivers. I will be running all off of a SAX 100.4. One set each on channels 1&2 with the sub bridged across 3&4. My question is which of the 3 box designs in the download section will be best at this power level(320wrms)? It will be for daily use with no intentions of competeing. My music tastes are metal/rock with the occasional hip hop/thecno thrown in for showoff purposes. Thanx for any help/info.

Do you guys considered the new 2011 RF P2D4 15" an overall better sub than the RE SRX 15" sub? The SRX has more linear excursion 18mm vs 12. I cannot find the Mms of either sub. The Bl of the SRX is 14 vs unknow. SPL is 87db for the SRX vs 86db. The Sd is 810 vs 894. My concern is that a sub with that much Xmax(RE) could sound louder than a sub with just 12mm but with almost 900 of Sd?? Also, the cone material of the subs: RE is Kraft pulp and the RF is Kevlar. If Kevlar is a bullet proof material is going to be a lil heavy than Kraft pulp, right? Thas why the RF Xmax is only 12mm?? It seems to me that the RF guys put a lot of technology in their new subs. My 15" Mmats p2.0 is making a wierd noise from the dust cap. I don't even know how to described, but when I push down a little bit, at low volumes of course, the noise goes away. I let it go, and the noise came back. Any input?

I am not a basshead but do like to crank it a little for fun. car currently has no system in it but I got all the stuff except the sub(s) . I was going to try IB on the rear deck but I just dont like whats out there so I have decided to try to get the most bass out of the least amount of space. after I saw some little DD 6inch subs at local shop I decided to try maybe 8's . would 1 SA-8 be enough? I think all the reviews show people with multiple SA-8 I really need more time to research all this stuff. I didnt realize these were that cheap

I recently purchased a pioneer double din touch screen head unit for my system which works pretty damn good. I have type r coaxial speakers running my interior speakers strapped to a hifonics 400 watt amplifier. For the subs I am running 2 12 inch pioneer pro series subs strapped to an hifionics 2000 watt mono block amp. I am running straight auxiliary inputs from the back of the head unit because i simply use 2 amps. All of a sudden today everything put out nothing but static. Found a great deal on ebay for Hertz HSK 165 and Mille MLK 2 . 2011 models . I was reading about the Mille having tweeter protection ,is this a good thing to have ? Are hertz really that good ? I've heard nothing but good reviews about them . The tweeter protection concerns me cause my Orion HCCA would cut out at loud levels but i dont think they were distorting . It had to replace them cause of that . Is it worth an extra $100 for the Mille series or should the HSK high Energy be enough ? I have about 125+ rms clean per channel from my ESX 1204 amp Thanks

Ok, I'm stumped. I have an Fi SSD 15" sub dual 2 ohm. and a sun down sae-1200d amp. The other day I was driving around beating, when all of the sudden my beats just stopped. After a few seconds the sub started beating again, then stopped again and hasn't come back on since. I got out to look everything over, all the fuses were good (including the one under my hood). The one thing I noticed was the amp was in protection mode. I turned my car off for a bit then turned it back on. I went back and looked at the amp, and the light was green for about 45 seconds, then switched to red ( Protection mode). ok this is where is gets weird. I unhooked everything and looked it over…

well its recone time for me, i was wondering on what wiring choices do i have having 2 .7 coils will i get more power out of it if i just choose these instead of having 2 dual 1 like i had before??? just trying to get the most the power as i can and help stop impedence rise

hello everyone. today, i have been beating up my sub pretty hard.when i finally got home, i felt the basket of the sub and it was pretty warm. is this a sign that somethings wrong? the only part i felt was where the outside mounting holes are. i wasnt sure if this was a early warning of something going wrong so i thought id throw up a post and ask. here is the specs of the set-up for those wondering if it may have to do with my amp or something.... 1 12" orion hcca in a 2.0CF ported box tuned @ 35Hz 1 MTX 1501D elite series amp all 4 gauge wiring. let me know what u all had in mind!! How will an HCCA sound in a sealed box, stuffed liberally? looking for a 30hz peak in a trunk car. SQ is priority, but with the ability to take your breath away. Three 12's, and three RF 4000BD's. electrically yada yada...... this is speculative, sifting through, as usual.

Ok I'm a old db drag competitor since 97 to 02 .I want to get back in to it a little bit .I want to hit a 150db's on the new Mic's . alright guys so i was pretty much set on 4 sa-10's in the trunk of my civic for my next project i want to do...until i came across the AA arsenal. I see that the arsenal works well in a smidge smaller ported enclosure which is good and also i see that the arsenal has a sensitivity of about 85db 1w/1w and the sa-10 is around 81 i believe. Not too sure how big of a difference that would be but on paper it looks pretty good haha. So my question to you all that may have had one of these or installed any is what do you think of the AA arsenal? Is it more of a sq subwoofer or is it more of a spl sub. so i have treo ssp 12's right now and want to move up to 15's i was thinking dc but i called and asked from a dealer in santa ana california and they said for a 15" dc lvl 4 $650 which is ridiculoussss i can get a dd 9515g for $490 has any one had any experience with these woofers i have no idea which one to go with i would like to stay in the $400 range and not spend more then $500 i can get the treo ssp 15's for $300 a piece but i dont kno if theres something better out there

hey guys. so I've reached a dilemma. i have been looking around for some door speakers for my 1999 Isuzu amigo. the speakers that are currently installed are a set of random 6.5 components that i had laying around. the doors fit 6 inch speakers but i am having a hard time finding any decent speakers that will fit. any feedback would be very appreciated

I'm number crunching and having issues with depth. I know spacers is the "duh" option. Mids can't be inverted/wired out of phase right? All the sound would go into the door then huh? Why does it work for subs but not higher freqs? I'm havin a dumbass attack and need someone to explain this to me lol

One thing that has always been hard for me about car audio, is it is really impossible to say that brand x is better than brand y and that everyone has an opinion regarding their equipment or product line. hey guys i was wondering if yall could help me out on my goal. I want to get to 150 on music daily/ground pounder or as close as i can get to 150 with the amount of space and power i have. To start off with i have a 275 amp Ohio generator alternator, most likely i am going to buy 1 or 2 xs d3100 batteries. Thats what my electrical is going to consist of. So for the amp i am go to buy a saz-3500. Now for subs i would have a budget of $700-$800 and i have about 8ft^3 to work with and thats after port and bracing displacements. I would also like to tune my box between 32-34hz as i listen to mainly nothing but rap music. let me know what yall guys have in mind.
