well i think ive finally made up my mind on the entire system, 2 12" Magnum D2's powered by (2) Rockford 1001BD Mono Amps. do you think thats too much power or just enough?

anyone ever use this sub? how much will it take daily? does one 15 have the ability to get loud 145db+?

i was thinking about putting 2 (maybe 1 depending on price) of them behind my seats on the floor instead of the AE subs http://www.tcsounds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10 i mean if what kyle says is true, this could be my next sub.

Im only going to be able to push 600w or so. I have an AA Havoc 12 here, and was wondering if it would be better to get a new 600w sub like the VVX, or just way underpower the Havoc. Im going to have to build or get a new box as well, and Skar has the VVX + box combo deal. Trying to get down to about 1.75cu, which would really lower the output of the Havoc as well. Im trying to get as loud as I can with 600w while still retaining sound quality and being able to dig low. So which would be louder and/or sound better out of 1.75-2cu, around 30hz with 600w?

I am putting bigger sub stage in my 08 EC sierra. These trucks have terrible floorboards under the rear seat, so the "only way" (short of custom fiberglass, etc) to get any space/depth was to build a box behind the console/in front of seat. It is sub up and external 4 in port going under the seat. It yeals a gross of 1.1 cubes, and can be tuned as low as 30. So, I am going back and forth between a Fi SSD and BL. It looks like this fits better in the BL's range of box size. I am going to run 1200 watts (stock electrical, wanna leave some room for midrange amp). So will the BL be both louder (higher efficiency) and perform better as the box is on the higher side of it…

My name is Erskine and I have a very strong working interest in Bass Box Designs, anyway I have just been given two nice new Magnum D2's which I shall be putting into one of my tried and tested Three Chamber Internally Ported Reflex Boxes. As the D2's are two ohm per coil, have previous owners got a preference for the wiring options. Both coils in series or parallel and then both speakers in either series or parallel. Ok, i've been wanting to build a ground pounder for awile now and i'm getting everything worked out before i start. I've gotten some help on box size and tuning (thank you mark) and now i need to figure out my box placement. Looks like the subs will be 4 mj-18's run off a power acoustik a3000db in an 18-20 cube box (depends on if i can fit 20) tuned between 30-35hz. Now i can build the box from behind the front seats back to the tailgate and fire the subs up, or i could build it from the tailgate to where the rear seat is at(it's gonna be out or folded) and fire the subs forward. Im running a Sound Stream Rubicon 1600d amp and I very recently (7hrs ago) ordered a single 15" Icon to run in a ported midgate Avalanche enclosure that I will soon be having built. Im second guessing myself because I now feel like the single Icon wont provide enough SPL. Im thinking about canceling for 2 Gcon 12s. So today I replaced my 2 12'' Memphis c3's with a Xcon 15. I've been eyeballing this sub for a while but never had the funds to snag one. I ended up pulling the trigger, but with some hesitation. I didn't want to sacrifice any output moving from 12's to a single 15 and running the same amp. Well, after building a massive 5.75 cubic foot ported box tuned to 32 hz... my mind Is truly blown. I have my sub level at -15 out of 20 on my deck and this thing hits twice as hard as my Memphis c3's, on the same power. Sounds lightyears better ahead of those things also. So I've made it pretty obvious that I was ordering a 10" ICON from SSA for a while, but haven't really put up my impressions of it yet. I'm trying to decide between a 15" SSA XCON or a Fi BL 15"... My goals are just SPL. SQ isn't a big enough concern to alter my decision. I will be running it in the trunk of a Grand Am in a 4^3ft(ish) ported box at 32 hz, off a memphis 16-st1000d for now at 1 ohm. I've got all my electrical ready.. Just trying to pick between these 2. I've never heard either one personally, so I'm looking for opinions on which would produce higher SPL in this situation. If you have any other opinions on a differen't subwoofer, I'm open for those as well. P.S. BUDGET - 400$

Hi guys I'm getting ready to do my first full system build and I'm looking to be clean and loud.My question is would I be able to run 2 ssa gcons safely off a crescendo bc 3500d or should I just go ahead and buy the icons?

??? what do yall think of oversized dust caps, i would think it would affect the performance of the sub, and effect the Sd as well, as the bottom of the sub is cone shaped and the surface would be drastically different ??? as well as oversized inverted dust caps please feel to post your thoughts ;D i have photoshoped out the Logo for obvious reasons

I found a bargain on CL locally for an American bass xd 12" in a custom 2ft^3 box tuned to 33hz. Are these subs any good?

I need help picking a good set of components. I have 125w rms per channel to run them on and I need 6 3/4" size woofers. The amp I will be using is my US Amps USA-300. I don't really care about how loud they get, but I want to have the best sq that I can get. My budget is around the $500 - $600 range. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!! Edit: I forgot to add that I listen to just about every type of music, so they must be well rounded.

After hearing many good things about eD on certain forums (cough ICIX) I finally broke down and ordered a 13Ov.2...luckily I caught one during the $70 promotion, so I definitely didn't pay full price. It arrived today (still waiting on the sealed 1.25cu box) and I decided to look into the company some more...came across this forum after looking at some ascendant audio products-lets just say that I know why you guys hold a grudge against eD now. I haven't listened to the sub yet, but I'm sure it'll be a HUGE improvement over the generic 10" that's in my car right now...are these things really that bad? I would have bought an assasin 12" from AA had SSA not stopped carry…
