Hey guys, So I have a Zed Audio Minilith mono amp thats rated at Continuous Output Power into 1 ohm 600wx1Continuous Output Power into 2 ohm 400wx1Continuous Output Power into 4 ohm 200wx1I am would like to build a IB setup in my cruze and buy the IB315 . Should I buy the 2 ohm sub and run 2 ohms at the amp?? I dont want to run 1 ohm due to heat and I only have a 140amp alt in my car with the big 3 done. OR would the IB312 sound better due to smaller sub?? I am worried about not having enough power. thanks for your input! Ralph

Which 6.5" speakers put out the best all around sound from 150w max to each speaker. I'll probably only be using two speakers in pvc wakeboard style enclosures. It would be nice to have a little bass as well as decent highs and mids.

Can anyone tell me any info on this 15 inch dvc subwoofer. I have looked for couple hours on the web and found nothing. On the dust cap which is a dome cone with a logo on the cone it looks like a ninja turtle face. ill upload the 2 photos i took . Thanks

Hello, first real post. Planning an install for my resto-mod 79 Camaro. Would like opinions and any expert advice on some parts selection and install. First my Head unit is a Pioneer DEH-X8800BHS. So far I have the following amps on hand: Rockford Fosgate R300X4 and Alpine A2-S60M. I also have a pair of Polk MM692 6x9 full range tri-axial speakers. I was going to use these in the rear deck with a set of Focal 165 V20 6.5" 70W RMS Polyglass Series mounted in the doors with angled pods. Hi, So I just placed a big order for my dream system off of SSA, consisting of 2 15" SSA Icons, a Crescendo BC2000D, XS2700 and stickers, The subs will be going in a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, I will be removing two seats in the rear and have dimensions of 22" H, 30" W by 34" deep. Ill be getting DC to design me a box, just wondering what tuning I should ask for and where to put port if subs are on the top plane? I want something fairly balanced SQ to SPL but more to SQ side definitely. Love hitting the Lows hard and want to push lots of air. Normally i would put this in the SPL forum but they dont move very fast. Im looking at Inviminator's new 187's, Used LI's, a single SX 15 and then there is a possibilty for an older Magnum SI. We are talking a structly SPL set up with around 1kw of power to deal with. im going to be running an Amature Street 1 with MECA and Street B with dB drag. Which has more SPL potential and room for error?

I'm looking to upgrade my speaker system. For the front stage I'm getting the Rockford fosgate 6.5" t1 series component speakers and powering them about 100 rms to each side. For the rear stage I would like to run two sets of coaxials (cone area ftw) I'm thinking the Rockford fosgate p1 series coaxials. But idk which would be better, 6.5's or 6x9's They'd be right beside each other along my side panels in the backseat (yes some modifications will be done) and I'd run a set per channel because they are 40-50rms each so one set is around 100rms. Ok, guys I have a ported enclosure with a 13W7, It hasn't been braced... How much more spl do you think I could gain if I braced it? I'm using 3/4" MDF and I'm driving it with a JBL GTO 14001.

I have a few morel 378s. While they sound very nice, flat, loud, and can be crossed over quite low, they don't have the high end extension and sharpness that I have come to like. I tried out the ft1s which are quite the opposite in sound to the 378s. They do have the high end extension and sharpness, but are definitely lacking highly in the lower end and are also a little peaky. I've looked around at pro audio to home audio, super tweeter to regular tweeter, but have not found a hard dome tweeter that has relatively flat response, around 100-200w rms, 90-100db sensitivity, 4-8ohm. Hey everyone! So I just purchased some of NVX 6-1/2" V-Series 2-way components since I wanted to give them a try. Looking into a new amp for just these speakers only. Curious what you think about these two amps? just like the title.. would a Fi SSD 15 get louder than the DC Lvl 2 15?..i seen the SSD specs and it says 800rms...specs on the Lvl 2 is 300rms 600 peak..just by looking at the specs im thinking the SSD would DEFF be louder than the LVL 2..but just wana make sure and get more responses from you guys and people that have had experience on FI or DC...NEVER ran FI before and thinking on trading my DC for the SSD and run FI!

well not really funny but the guys at the tire shop got one hell of a laugh out of my visit. So I went to get my tire patched do to a nail. No biggie right? well after they patch it they call me out there and show me my back tire how it is worn badly on the insides. And they are less than a year old. So we start talking about what caused it, and they say it is probably the alignment since they were just rotated and use to be on the front and the front ones show a little wear also. Overall I was wondering the pros and cons of each of the woofers. I would be putting four of them in my trunk. Sq isnt much of a priority. Which would be louder and handle more power? Im lookin to run about 1000 rms each on whatever one i get.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse. but I need help narrowing my decision down to one sub. I listen to NO rap, so big SPL isn't that important to me. I listen to alot of rock and metal, so fast, tight bass, ala Mudvayne, Slipknot, Korn, Tool, Seether.... So LSQ is what I want. Anyways, I want a single 12" sub that will probably be in a ported box. Not sure on the size, but hopefully not huge. Maybe around ~2.0 cu. ft. The amp i have is a Kicker ZX1000.1 birthed at 1152WRMS. K, here's my choices.... Ok so installed them today, but it is quiet as hell. Will it get louder as the suspension breaks in? It is a D2 wired for 1 ohm.

Well, after much testing and some talking with Scott I've been given the OK to go and do a group buy for Hybrid Audio Legatia L3's. I would like a minimum of 5 buyers. This will go on for a month. The normal price on these is 250$ and Scott is letting these go for 200$ for this group buy. I have a sundown saz3500d im going to be using to power my subwoofer stage. i cant decide what subs i want to run however. im stuck between 2 Sundown NightShade V2 D1 15's or 2 FI BTL N2 D1 15's (i havent found any videos or opinions on these FI's really?). those are my main two choices but i have been considering saving the money and going with 2 of the sundown z v2 D1 15s.
