Well guys (and gals)... Sorry for the not-so-punctual update. But I've been busy...busy marveling at this thing ... First of all I'd like to thank Mike for the amazing opportunity to demo such a great subwoofer. Now, to get things started... WOW. I opened the box, and that is all I said. This thing is massive, especially for a 12. Obviously, with quad stacked mags...and the gigantic motor...but pics do not do it justice. The clearance on this basket is a thing of glory...I mean view you get of the coil and top of the former...an the dual spiders is simply amazing. (get used to this word) I was quite happy to get my hands on it, especially since I was going to be the fir…

Well, no return to my Email, or my PM on CA and I dont beleive your on ****, this is the last place I can try. Its weird, Mach5 is usually really good at returning my Emails. I am interested in knowing when I can order SVC2 ohm recones. I need 2 Recones and 1 basket (needed 2 but I found one MJ basket quicker then you guys responded). If I cant order them yet, please let me know when I may be able to order them, instead of ignoring me. Also if you could PM me a price for 2 SVC2 recones + 1 basket shipped to 53597 that would be great. I know the SCV4 price, but I know the driver price changed a little. Please give me confidance in your company again. I am starting to regr…

so a friend of mine is looking to add a sub to his car, but he cares a great deal about weight (yes, contradictory, but to each his own). He's looking for a 10" driver that weighs less than 20lbs, preferably around 15lbs, that has awesome SQ and lets you slightly feel the bass. So far, he's looking at the eD 11Kv.2, Adire Shiva (having a hard to time to find this thing online), and the Seas Lotus SW250 (isn't sure if he wants to spend this much money, unless its 200% worth it). any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

Normally i would put this in the SPL forum but they dont move very fast. Im looking at Inviminator's new 187's, Used LI's, a single SX 15 and then there is a possibilty for an older Magnum SI. We are talking a structly SPL set up with around 1kw of power to deal with. im going to be running an Amature Street 1 with MECA and Street B with dB drag. Which has more SPL potential and room for error?

My 15" Mmats p2.0 is making a wierd noise from the dust cap. I don't even know how to described, but when I push down a little bit, at low volumes of course, the noise goes away. I let it go, and the noise came back. Any input?

I have a spare set of tweeters and crossovers from a 4" mb quart comp set. My question is, can I get any set of 6.5 midbass speakers and use the mb quart crossovers with it? Or are there certain factors that have to be looked at for one to be compatible with the other. I could just get a whole set of 6.5 comps but I remembered I had some extra parts and wanted to see if I can just get some midranges and use what I have.

??? what do yall think of oversized dust caps, i would think it would affect the performance of the sub, and effect the Sd as well, as the bottom of the sub is cone shaped and the surface would be drastically different ??? as well as oversized inverted dust caps please feel to post your thoughts ;D i have photoshoped out the Logo for obvious reasons

I can't speak for the reliability of the AQ sub yet, as I just got one of them in. But I can say that you definitely get your moneys worth with the HDC3 series. I was surprised when there was a box at the door since I haven't even received notification that one of my subs shipped, but man was I happy and amazed when I opened the box. I ordered a pair of HDC310's for a build of mine and figured they would be a nice little subs for a small build. But now I'm considering trying these out in my SUV. This thing is HUGE. I have never liked small subs until now. BL 12 VS AQ HDC310

Hey everyone! So I just purchased some of NVX 6-1/2" V-Series 2-way components since I wanted to give them a try. Looking into a new amp for just these speakers only. Curious what you think about these two amps? There around the price I want to spend and I am not 100% on sticking with this brand, but ive had good luck with these amps over the years so I figured I would stick with them. Here are the component specs: 6-1/2" V-Series 2-way Component Speaker System Peak: 280 watts per set / 140 watts each side 140 watts per set / 70 watts each side 4 ohms impedance and here are the two amps im looking at and curious which one would work…

I know this may be a dumb question..but i believe a dumb question is one that was never asked!! so if someone would clear this up for me i'd appreciate it! ok my buddy just sold me his 15" fi Q dvc 1ohm... i already have a kicker cvx dvc 4ohm now i am gonna buy another fi Q but money is an issue right now and i need some knock right now so the question is if i wire the fi q down to 2ohms and wire the cvx to 2ohms will it be a 1ohm load or not? and why? i know they are different voice coils but 2 subs dropped to 2ohms=1ohm and my amp is 1ohm stable, would this work or will it fry my amp?

Hi guys I have been looking at these little guys for awhile and have thought about running them in my 03 ford explorer behind the third row seats. At first I thought about running them off a sundown sax 1200d but now I have come across this website and discovered crescendo audio and seen the bc 2000d and love the way it looks and its a little cheaper. I was just wondering if these little beast would hold up or am I better off running the sax 1200d?

Should I buy the 2 ohm sub and run 2 ohms at the amp?? I dont want to run 1 ohm due to heat and I only have a 140amp alt in my car with the big 3 done. OR would the IB312 sound better due to smaller sub?? I am worried about not having enough power. thanks for your input! Ralph

Hey guys, it's been awhile... anyway, i traded in my component speakers and selenium supertweeters for earthquake sound midbass drivers and supertweeters +$40 @ my local audio store. at first i thought it was a good deal (i felt i had to much high's with the supertweeters and tweeters off component set..) so i'm thinkin.. mids in front, highs in back, lows in trunk. yeah! but now idk lol what do you guys think of this setup? mids and highs are powered by my kicker zx 350.4 and my sa10 is powered by my kicker zx 400.1 (underpowered, i know.) i installed the earthquake supertweeters but i havent installed the mids yet, i will do that tomorrow.. as for the highs, they …

Ok, I just got a long e-mail from the guy I bought my USA-600x from. He asked what my system was like, so I told him, and he claims I have way too much power! He quarentee's me that the USA-300x I plan to put on my sub (SI D2Mag 12") will blow the sub for sure, and that the 600x will murder my CDT ES520 set! This is his quote... "You should get a 200X new style 7" chassis to drive your 520 europoops, a 400X to drive 4 of your 8's and a 600X to drive 2 of your 12" woofarts" "I had guys ask me how come a 200 watts US Amps keeps blowing 1000 watts woofers. I told them the 1000 watts woofer was actually 100.0 watts RMS (US Amps watts) the decimal point is missing that's …

Whats up...first wanted to say thanks to everyone on the SSA forums.. Very glad I found it. A lot of good info and members here.... now that I'm done kissing ass lol ..... I need some recommendations.. I recently built an enclosure to replace the old setup in my Eclipse. I built it to fit how I wanted in the hatch, and did not have a pre-planned volume. When I finished this thing, I ended up with: 1.62 cu ft Slot Ported @ 32hz 7.5" max mounting depth. I layed out both 12" and 10" cut out patterns on it, and have a Type R 10" temp mounted in it so I could still play until I chose on a final driver. I'm actually very impressed how the Alpine is playing in this enclosure. …

Ok I know you guys can get WAY too technical (not to mention harsh) for me but I'm going to try this anyway. I am currently running an active 2-way front stage plus two (sealed, downfired) 12" TC-9's in a Chevy Colorado extended cab. See profile. Although I am pleased with this setup I'm still lacking that "something" that makes it near perfect to my taste. In my mind I'm looking for SQ but I have seen too many people beaten down for using that term because we do not know what SQ is, let alone how to achieve it. I can not...nor will I...argue with that. I am 46 so I'm not going to play the 16 year old that knows more than everybody here and refuse to listen to advice. Wit…

I've been in the market for some new boom for a long time now. For the last couple years I had two ten inch L5's doing the duty for me. I'm about to purchase three id 10v3's but it doesn't seem like many people on any boards these days are running ID. I do stupid things with my money, and I want to make sure these are worth the 120/ea or whatever I'm gonna pay. I was going to go with two RL-P 12's but that'll cost an extra hundred dollars....anyone think it's worth the wait/saving? I know both setups should get louder and deeper AND sound better than what I've got...but does anyone think the RL-P's aren't worth the extra money? In theory the 3 id10v3's and two rl-p…

I'm in the market for a 10" sub and only have space for a sealed box (will be fiberglassing to use otherwise wasted space). Been out of the car audio game for a few years and there's a lot more choices these days than I remember. So here goes, I have an old amp laying around that I'm planning on using and potentially upgrading the amp later on. It puts out 400-500wrms. If I upgrade later it'll probably be to something in the 800-1k range. I don't feel the need to go any higher. Any suggestions here to go SSA or FI (with the high Qts option for sealed)? Both subs are somewhat in the same price range.
