Seems the IA80.1 is getting a bad rep. Read on other forums of amps blowing, lower scores, and clamp test of it not doing rated power.

I got my 2 21" Wardens in last week, and they look amazing. I ordered through Vertex Audio, they were great to deal with and kept in touch well. I had the pleasure of talking to Nick and he was helpful, and courteous. It's really nice to hear a real person answer the phone. Anyway, I'm going to be running the subs on an American Bass 1000.1 at 1 ohm, so give or take more than 10kw if I can keep imp. rise down. I have more alternators on the way, so for the time being I'm running the amp at 4 ohms, roughly 5kw. I just got things hooked up today and even on RMS these subs are performing great. They're every bit as loud as the 2 BTL 18s I had at 2 ohms a month or two ago. …

I ordered But, today I got the package and its a dual 2. I was planning on putting the sub on a zx750.1, I was pretty certain I needed the dual 4... so if this is a good mistake then just let me know. What do I do now?

I am not trying to be rude by any means. I pre ordered the Wardens a couple months ago, paid in full, knowing that they were supposed to be here by the end of the year. I called IA for an update a week or two ago and they said the price of neo is to high so they haven't bought any yet and they have no eta at this point. I am kind of frustrated by it since I was told I can't get a refund or switch to a different product or even a different size of Wardens. As a almost daily visitor to this site i was just wondering how come in the majority of build logs i mainly see the other apparently more popular brands like ssa , sundown , dc audio , Fi & even recent newcomer skar with occasionally DD , AQ , AB , mmats threads scattered here & there but very few with IA subs\speakers\amps i havent used all the brands but i do have some experience with IA subs & imho they are very well built , have huge output & sound great too , i guess they can probably stand toe to toe with all the other more famous guys so why isnt it as popular as the others or is it IA owners are simply not posting up their builds here ?

We are currently working on getting new official pictures of all the new woofers, BUT I have a picture of the brand new woofer we call THE JUDGE. I have 4.45^ft3 to work with,before port displacement, I am going to invert the subs. I only have 800rms. I have a single Re SE 12 in 2.5 slot port 35hz now, an its just not loud enough. I was either going to get two 187 12s with a single 6 or 8" round port, or one Lethal injection 15 and a single 6 or 8" port..... This is going into the trunk of my car, and surprisingly it is louder with the sub and port firing into the cabin(with the seats down). what do you think will get the loudest. This is just a daily driver, roughly 34-37hz will be the tuning and has anyone mess with the Hifonics square subs, are they of any quality. Im just worried that using an 8" port will tak…

Well, after lots of thought and consideration I decided to scale it down a bit for this year. Too many things going on with the new baby and new promotion at work. But I just couldn't walk away totally, so here's a thread to chronicle exactly what's going down over my way...... for anyone interested that is!
