I just got done installing my second skin door pack that I won through the second skin promotion. When opening the box I saw some goodies also, Ant was nice enough to give all the winners a Fury knife and the hard wood roller. I decided that I would install my 5.25 pioneer premier components up in the front doors using the second skin. I first started by cleaning off dirt and dust off of the door for the best contact. I cut out small pieces of deadener with the included fury knife. The fury knife cuts through the second skin with ease and works great. hey there, I'm attempting to dial out a bit of resonance (there isn't so much on this car), as well as keep as much of the sound inside the car as possible. Would my original plan of damp pro and overkill pro all over the hatch area be good? would adding a product like luxury liner pro (I also figure if i'm doing this i might as well reduce alot of the road noise throughout the car) reduce the volume inside because it will absorb the sound?? I'm starting in the trunk / hatch area, and i think doing the doors and front wheelwells/footwells at the same time. if results are good, i'll continue and do the rest of the car, with Damp prop/overkill pro everywhere, + luxury lin…

I recently orderd some damp pro for my roof. i have a few extra bucks to play with, i was reading and watching some vids of both lux liner pro and over kill pro. I am a little confused on what they actully do diffrent? and what should i order? i currently have second skin in my doors and my back hatch. i am going to doubble stack my roof with the damp pro. should i use the lux liner pro for my doors or the over kill pro? i am also open to any other suggestion also. thanks!!

I was curious to see what the results would be if i were to put luxury liner under the carpet from the uppermost front footwell area up to the rear of the car. I am sure i would see a noticeable drop in road noise but but would it increase the "plushness" of the carpet? That is part of what i am looking for as the G35 floor doesn't have the plush and luxurious feel i would like. On that topic, since i am running 245/35/20 and 275/20/20's the road noise is unbearable. Would it make sense to remove the wheel arch linings up front where i notice the most noise and coat them in spectrum sludge or should i pursue a different route in trying to eliminate it, possibly just addi…

First off, i have a 86 ext cab s15 pickup truck and the equipment is in my sig. I hear matting them is bad because of the natural cabbin flex these trucks need to sound at best when dealing with SPL. Then.. i heard people gain from them with matting(for spl). I've pretty much heard A LOT of things... only mat the floor.. only mat the side pannels.. etc etc etc. So can someone clear this up for me? Im looking to gain some dBs while still having the natural effect of matting (music inside, noise outside)
