I'm going to have a 180A HO alternator from Iraggi, and I'll be using a Hifonics XX Colossus II and a Soundstream REF4.920 that will be giving out about 3600W rms together. I was thinking about replacing my starting battery and adding some secondary batteries in the back. I read your "I Have a XXXXXXX watt sytem. What battery do I need?" thread and if I understood it correctly a D1200 in the front and a D3400 would be sufficient for my system. But would this be optimal, should I maybe have 2 or even 3 D3400 in the back plus the D1200 in the front? It is a daily system, but I will go on a couple DB contests per year.

Hey all.Im looking to do some battery upgrading.I want to replace my stock battery upfront and replace the cheap walmart deep cycle in the back. Here is my main concern.I have a old 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 and sometimes its takes a bit of cranking to get it started. So,im worried about running the battery low by cranking my car to start and then it not starting because the battery is to weak.In the summer or warmer weather it starts just fine.Im mainly worried about in the winter time when it takes me awhile to get it started.I dont have alot of room upfront but i have alot of room in the back.So I guess what it boils down to is which battery should I get for upfront?I don…

What size threads are the post holes for the D-series batteries. Also, how deep are they? Mine won't be for about a week so I'm unable to just measure. I'm looking for ways to hook up three 1/0 gauge power wires.

Not sure how many of these I would need to run an SD16KD. Also, what would be the advantages/disadvantages of running the 14V batt. vs 4 D3100's? I already have a D3400 up front, would I want to change this to a 14v batt as well if I decide to go with the D1400? Thanks, Nova

  6. Just a simple load test comparison of the D3100 and a couple other Group 31 batteries. I am sure we should have done many things differently and I am sure we will hear about it, but people ask for comparison videos and here you go. Approx 500 amp load for 30 seconds. More videos to come.

What is the thread size for a D3100? Why does it say on the battery not to exceed 14.4 volt for charging? (I see people charging around 15 volts all the time on here) What will happen if my charger "exceeds" 14.4 volts?

I was looking for a battery to power my car and stereo and came across the flyer for the D3400. I have 3 amps: Sundown SAZ1500D, an Orion 900.2 and a diamond 400.4. Not looking to compete hardcore just an occasional local meet and daily driver. Just want a safe power source. I drive a Toyota Solara with factory battery and alt. Does the 3400 meet my needs?

Is this battery still for sale? I dont see it on PMs website, nor do I see it on any of the online dealers websites. If it is still produced, does it come with the i-BAR system, or is that an extra add on part? If so how much does it cost? And will it fit any other PM battery?

I have a d3400 under my hood and its been there for 6 months, suddenly one of my buddy told me that the d3400 can't handle the heat under the hood because we live in a tropical country. How will i check if my battery is still in good condition? What are the signs that i've damage my battery due to its location?

Are there any differences between the D3400 and the S3400 besides the steel case? The 3400 series fits into my stock battery tray and will be powering a 1400 watt rms system that could get upgraded to a 2400 watt rms system.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are currently moving to a different location, so there may be a slight delay in the responses. The best way to reach me if you need something is by email or by phone. If you get my voice mail I am probably at the other office and will get back with you as soon as possible. I am handling things at both locations right now, so I cant be on the forums as much right now. Should have everything completed here in the next week or so and then back to business as usual. Just wanted to let everyone know.

  18. I have been searching around for batteries to put in the rear of my car to as extra batteries to power two us amps md2d amps. I am looking at powermaster, kinetiks, deka, and alpha technologies batteries. So, with each of these companies, there are different types of batteries. some have AGM technology while others have GEL technology. What is the difference? Which is better for car audio purposes? I think with the dekas, there are some GEL and some AGM batteries. I think powermaster is all AGM, right? And alpha technologies has both as well.

Used the XS site and put in my vehicles info(01 Burb). It suggested a S3400 underhood and a D3400 aux. I have seen vids showing the D's swelling up due to heat in the engine bay. Yet still I see many still putting the D3400 under the hood without issue. But I digress- the point of my question is that I plan to run both batteries under the hood. should I use 2 S series?

  20. I know i should know this but do you have to match the cranking amp ratings on batteries to run them together? Or can you just run about any battery regardless of the amp ratings? Will they draw off of each other. The only reason i ask is I've bin looking around the forums at alot of installs and have seen a couple mixed matched batteries linked together. I have 2 optima redtops and i want to hook another battery to them without a isolater but don't want to spend another $160 on another redtop battery. Any help would be appreciated Joe

Charger turns green after seconds connected to battery... this is the second one (first one was broke as well) The battery in the video is new Here's a video - picture quality will improve once youtube is done processing And why did my battery come back with a dent covered in some black shit and scuffed up? (obviously it wasn't shipping because there wouldn't be a black residue) I pay good money for these products and when I get them shipped back to me beat to hell it makes me question what kind of company you are.
