i have a 1998 pontiac bonneville se with a 105 amp alt and a xs power d2400 supplying power for an ed nine.1 wired to 1 ohm on an 18" aa havoc....will this be enough and i will be doing the big 3 as well

My D3100 is damaged, it looks like someone dropped it. Will this effect performance?

There has been a lot of questions about charging batteries lately. Lets look at it this way. A D3100 is around $350. A multimeter or volt meter can be purchased for $40 to how ever much you want to spend on one. IMHO it would be a good investment to get a multimeter/volt meter to make sure the batteries are being charged at the correct voltages. Multimeter/volt meters are just good things to have on hand for any electrical situation. You can usually find some pretty good deals in pawn shops on stuff like this.

Can i wire my D3100s in parallel and charge them like that, or will i have to do each one by itself?

it's 2600watts without the lighting and other things in the car. so just the audio is 2600watts.

I've had a d3400 under my hood since feb. It put out great power no problems. Today while working on my truck I noticed one side has a slight bulge. The batt still works fine,just need to know if I should be concerned?

Hi Nate, Looking for your solid advice on my current project. I have a SAE-1200D running at 1 ohm, and a MB Quart 4125 running at 4ohms per channel. Stock alternator (105 amp) and a Autocraft titanium battery in my 2004 Impala. The big three have been updated with 1/0 wire, and the alternator has been modded so that it produces about .2 volts more at all times. With the car warm and music at half level the voltage at the sub amp and the battery is at 14.8 volts steady. With the music at full tilt with heavy bass the voltage drops as low as 12.9 at the battery and amp. This is when it looks like the car is a disco ball and headlights/all the interior lights dim. I have enough money for either battery, I am just curious which is better for my needs: It has to be a 12v battery that has 6 cells or less and is less than 800 cubic inches, but both batteries already fit this criteria I think. I will be replacing my starting battery first and then adding a secondary battery later. I will change vehicles at some point in the next few years so I guess the smaller s1200 would be more flexible as far as space limitations are concerned, but the 3400 would fit in the starting battery location of my current vehicle, (1993 Saturn SW2). Im trying to nail down some electrical for the new build and wondering if its the correct replacement size. Looking to replace my front battery with a D1200. The stock batt is a group 26, Im told. Its a regular Autolite from Kragens. The stock battery dimensions are roughly about 8L x 7W x 8H. It seems like it fits to me. Do I have this right?

hey im just wondering if these 2 batteries would be enough to feed my rockford bd 2000 and a alpine pdx 100.4 . i drive a 2006 monte carlo ss 5.3 v8 and i have no idea what my idle output is on my alternator. i found an irragi alternator for the car but i am scared of getting it because of the negative reviews i heard about them so i would like to try to stray away from buying a new alternator. thanks in advanced for the help
