Well if you are choosing a secondary battery, then your options are only limited by space you have available and $$$$$. lol Here is a guide for our batteries and the wattage they produce as both starting batteries and secondary batteries. One thing to keep in mind is that when you combined multiple batteries together they produce more individual power, because that optimizes the internal pressure.

I have been ask a few very common questions, so I figured I would just post some of them up. If you have any questions post them up. I will answer them or find the answer for you. CCA is the maximum amperes that can be continuously removed from a battery for 30 seconds at 0°F before its voltage drops to unusable levels. A 550 CCA battery can supply 550 amperes for 30 seconds at 0°F. This was important back in the days when vehicles took a long time to start. Now if you put a charge to your starter for 30 seconds it would probably burn up, and it doesn't make any difference in car audio. CCA is the same test as above but at 32°F. AMP-HOUR RATING is a unit of measurement fo…

All of the S version of the batteries come with brass automotive terminals. All of the S versions also come with metal protective cases (EXCEPT FOR THE S3400) for added under the hood protection. The S3400 DOES NOT come with a metal protective case. The D version batteries do not come with auto terminals, but they do come with the bolts and washer to use with ring terminals. Automotive terminals can be purchased separately (part number # 580 or 586) for these versions. So, if you are going to use the battery under the hood I would suggest buying the S version, but if you are going to use it as a secondary battery the D version would be more economical.

So, I'm looking into replacing my Kinetik batteries in hopes that my low idle voltage may be a result of not so great battery conditioning and whatnot. Is it recommended to charge the XS Power when you first get them shipped to you? If so, would the CTEK MUS 3300 be good for it? What setting should it be on? The car or snowflake icon??? Thanks in advance for any information regarding this matter... - SHo

I have a 2003 Saturn Ion with 105 Amp alternator, I want to replace starting battery and add a secondary battery for my setup. I will use a Sundown SAZ-2000D @ 2ohms (1000watts) and 2 Sundown SAX-125.2 (about 500 watts used between the two), my system wont use no more than 1600-1700rms at the most (over estimating it). What two batteries will suit my needs? Thanks, Jay

Hello, I have a S3400 under the hood, and a Vision 105 Group31 batt in the rear, under my enclosure. I want to get rid of this Vision, anf get an XS battery instead. One of my friend is selling all his SPL equipments. He had a wall wit 2 18" subs, on 2 huge amps, with lots of batts. (No mids & high speakers in that car). I think he reached 160 dB : island record for sure. I would like to know how can I be sure that the XS 7500 I want to buy from him is good. His batteries did not played a lot, they were in his SPL car, going out only for a few comps. I'm running a 2400 w amp on my sub, and a small IA 3.4 at 8 Ohms on my mids & highs. So I …

I am sure everyone is aware of our new Voltage Control Module, but here is a little info just in case. The VCM allows you to control the voltage output of your alternator and set it at a constant voltage. Once you have it set the voltage will not drop below the voltage you programed it for. The VCM plugs directly into your alternator (works on OEM or HO alternators) and the controller can be mounted on the dash or any where you want to install it. It allows you to make adjustments to your voltage output from inside the vehicle. These VCM Kits are ready to go and ship same day. XSP 310-312 VCM combo kit (86-97 (and some newer years) GM applications 4 wire rectangle plug…

I have enough money for either battery, I am just curious which is better for my needs: It has to be a 12v battery that has 6 cells or less and is less than 800 cubic inches, but both batteries already fit this criteria I think. I will be replacing my starting battery first and then adding a secondary battery later. I will change vehicles at some point in the next few years so I guess the smaller s1200 would be more flexible as far as space limitations are concerned, but the 3400 would fit in the starting battery location of my current vehicle, (1993 Saturn SW2). As long as either battery fits I will go with the one with more juice, (of course), but I know that the 3400 d…

I'm wondering which batteries I can use and how many of them from these guys... http://www.batterydirect.com/batteries/sealed_lead_acid/20 I'd be running 2 Sundown 1500Ds strapped. I don't really understand the specs. The D121200 is in the same "class" as the Powermaster D3100... I would like to run battery direct because there distributor is closer to me and theres a dealer in town.

I have been searching around for batteries to put in the rear of my car to as extra batteries to power two us amps md2d amps. I am looking at powermaster, kinetiks, deka, and alpha technologies batteries. So, with each of these companies, there are different types of batteries. some have AGM technology while others have GEL technology. What is the difference? Which is better for car audio purposes? I think with the dekas, there are some GEL and some AGM batteries. I think powermaster is all AGM, right? And alpha technologies has both as well.

So, I will soon be running a sundown saz-1500D. And now I have a aamp that puts out 190x2. So about 1900watts Rms total. I will be ordering a DC Power 180xp alt. And I was wondering what batt should I use in order to not have to use a secondary batt? Really don't want to have to do any modifications if possible. I drive a 1994 Toyota Camry V6. Thanks. -jonathan

What does this do? There isn't much info on the website about it and I can't find any info anywhere else. I was told it would raise and hold the voltage of the vehicle it is hooked up in to a set voltage and will regulate it there. Is this true? How high would it hold on a stock 120 amp alternator safely for testing purposes?
