  1. So i just got my car back from Freeman's friday around 1 am. The guy worked on it far past closing hrs and did a wonderful job. To see the box specs and the ideas about the build go to this link: I've been listening to a variety of songs and different kinds of music and it all sounds great. Louder than my Ported 15" FI Q for sure and looks sick! The only difference between what i planned on doing and what ended up happening is that instead of the box being around 5.75 after displacements and bracing its only a little over 4 which i know isnt ideal but its the biggest possible to fit it in my trunk. It still sounds great so im not too disappointed about that. It isn't quite done from the trunk so ill just put up a picture of the subs so you get an idea and then once it is all complete ill post more pics. I want to think Shizzon for an awesome box idea and for putting so much work into this even though its not his build. I want to think Freeman's audio (especially Drew) for building an awesome box and putting so much time into it and working far past requirements to make me happy. I want to think SSA and Sundown for making great products and i will recommending them to all my friends. I was actually at Freeman's on friday for awhile and then came back from like 10:30pm-1am and talked with the guys while they worked on the car and what not and they mentioned how a guy from Sundown was bringing a van with (12) 12"s in on Saturday and they told me to come around 4:30 but it turns out they came before that so unfortunately i missed that. I'm sure that was amazing. Anyways i love the subs, amp is a monster, and the box looks sick. Here is the pics i have now... and ill have many more pics later that ill put up especially once i get my hands on a camera and not my chitty 2 Megapixel on my phone.
  2. i agree haha. when we were all in the shop (me, my brother, drew, and 2 other guys he had come in and help) once he finished most of the work we hooked up the amp and it was at 4 ohm and it was pretty nice i mean i was expecting louder and then he hooked it up to 1 ohm and DAMN. they came alive. I played a slowed down Six 12's and the first note is high and so yeah it was loud, but not the loudest but then it hit the second note which is low and holy shit. haha. after it was all done we sat in the shop listening to songs for like 20 minutes.
  3. Looks great! The D-CON 10" is a great subwoofer.
  4. Explain please? The BTL is an spl sub, and the Xcon is more of a heavy duty sq sub.

First off, this post was not deleted, if it was, we would not be able to see it now. It was moved into this section to discuss, hence the title of the section "Topics under review". But your reaction shows you rather react first and talk about it later. Seems to be common practice around here as of late. Next, this has nothing to do with the TOS, it has to do with common decency as a moderator of a forum such as this. On a forum where the mod team, and administrators are very active, it is not too kosher for a moderator to be suggesting or hinting to members to move over to another forum of similar focus as this. Especially after the exodus by a number of people who would rather run off stamping their feet like a child instead of learning the truth and being loyal to something such as this by talking about it like adults. And please don't try to pretend you are not trying to get members to move to forceaudio, I can see it on the front page of my facebook home page showing you telling Tom and Ryan to go there. I have no problem with forceaudio what so ever, if I did I would not be a member over there, and I would not have the admin of that site as a global moderator here on this site. As for the products the shop sells, that has nothing to do with what people post on here, and that has nothing to do with this topic at all. You are trying and failing to group this post with common practice with other places that does not even apply in this case. Numerous people suggest items and products from companies not on the shop or on the forum at all. And there is zero modifications or moderation to their posts. We advertise our products on our own site, but we do not push our products. This would be one thing from some new member who does not have good forum etiquette, but you are a moderator of this site. On the topic of you leaving, you have had an attitude with new members and even long running members that is somewhat on the elitist & harsh side. Even in phone conversations with prominent members, about the forum or shop, a few have asked me if you were some pissed off old grumpy man. I said no and defended you. I should never have to do that period, makes our selection of moderators look questionable. Now your attempt to tie SSA and eD together or draw some sort of similarity is very thin at best. We would not have brands on here we don't sell, we would not have competing speaker brands, we would not even suggest other products we don't sell or have access to, we would not allow members to suggest or link to other items, I am sure you are going to bad mouth us/SSA on other sites because you want to react first instead of discussing. Case in point of your attempt to try to put down the Icon on CA.com (in a comparison topic between it and the IDMAX) and painting that exact speaker in context as some super modified, touched by G*D driver, when in reality it was a suspension modification optimized for that install, everything else being stock, which for the most part can be seen plain as day in pictures of that driver when it was installed. Again, an instance where you want to react before finding out the whole story. Jim, we did come to expect better. The moderators are the people who we should not be worrying about at all. Now I don't have an issue with you, just your actions as of late. And then this attempt of trying to use misdirection by a non-existent association with a party with questionable practices, really takes the cake for me. I missed chunks of Thanksgiving dinner working with Mark trying to get SSA rolling at 100% again, and this is the level of thanks we get. The amount of childish drama and questionable actions by long time members, have really pissed me off big time. The time and effort we put into this site, never asking a penny from ANYONE, and this is the flack we get for years we have put into this place. This is another sign that people who gave the perception of being loyal to SSA and being apart of SSA, really never were.
  6. there's alot more going on then Dave will let on. If you want our side of the story, which is the truth of the matter, wait for Denim to get in here or you can just PM him. No reason to jump ship over some people that expected waaaaay to much from us. Enough said on the matter. Just PM denim. If there's really no truth to what Dave and Ramos were saying, why delete their posts instead of just repudiating it? Why delete mine, for that matter? Like I said, I've seen where this road goes. I remember what Ben did on CSO at first, then on ICIX...and I choose to have no part of that. I expected a reasonable level of maturity, apparently, I was expecting too much as well. we expected a reasonable level of maturity from "team ssa" as well, we did not get that. So any bs they want to splatter on our board will get deleted. Thats the simple truth of why they are gone. If you'd like to ask aaron what happened, he'd be glad to tell you i'm sure.
  7. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=22670 Honestly...this is conduct I'd expect from Ben Milne...not here. Delete posts for breaking the TOS, not for some vague fuzzy reason...
