  1. Not really my thing, most the time people ask why i turn it down when coming to a stop. I just don't feel the need to annoy others that don't appreciate my love for bass. I can gladly say i don't do it in neighborhoods, apartments, or any establishments of the like. Though i have picked on a fair share of badasses that claim they have 190db+ at the headrest. I always get a kick out of there reactions.
  2. The Treo SSX woofers are way underated and really like to have 4-5k watts to respond well in a spl competition.. I do like your amp choice too
  3. And this is the problem with audio these days, and why car audio has a bad name and negative perception by the general public. Everyone needs to respect everyone's space, and if your music is pouring into someones car near you, it is horribly disrespectful. Just wait until you have a kid and after a long day you are trying to get your kid to fall asleep on the drive home and some jerk has their crap rattling and it wakes up your kid. See how much you like it then.
  4. Well in the future would you mind spelling your words correctly, we are trying to get everyone on the forum to use correct spelling and grammar so we can all better understand each other and make each topic much more effective. Updated for clarification. As there are plenty of other sites out there that are more fitting for people who cannot communicate normally.
  5. SSA has never served me wrong love the sq they have all around awesome product plus great service
  6. Enjoy your 3 day vacation. This isn't tolerated here. If you want to be an ass do it somewhere else.
  7. My personal opinion would be I-cons. Not the i am against sa-12s but i feel the I-con is far more tested and proven product. They sound great and have some outstanding lows.

Incorrect smokeydog, it makes the enclosure seem larger and the tuning a little lower. These are both things Casey (casedawg) was trying to achieve. I am by no means an expert but I'm hoping it helps his overall response and sound. BTW- glad I could give you a hand today Casey, hopefully it holds up for awhile and sounds decent.
  9. if the price is right take it. thats what i say
  10. 800 to a 1000 watts. But if you go above 800 you will have to use your common sense. You have to use you ears to listen and especially use your nose these two sensory options are key. I have mine sealed on 800watts and when i want to pound it shakes the shit out of my truck. If you really want brut force you should have look at either the bl or btl. Also you shouldn't have choose the copper coils if you wanted power you could have gotten the flatwound coils as well as bp power than you could have given the sub more power.
  11. Try this... http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/enclosure-volume-calculator/
  12. Lol... while comical references abound for that, I wont be the one that starts them There is no reason why this cant be used for SQ applications at all. Not so much for the extreme motor force you can achieve, but simply to reduce the rear motor footprint in the airflow path. Or that it allows a similar set of soft parts to be used in a similar diameter motor, but now with heavy copper sleeving on the pole where that would have previously reduced motor force to an undersireable limit. It can be used in extreme underhung designs as well. No shortage of SQ uses as what SG does has nothing to do with the quality of sound, just a different way of achieving the desired motor force.

Nothing too special but i think it'll give you guys a little taste of them. Remember this is all done with 600-750wrms each.
  14. So you had the same problem with the smell huh? Did it kinda almost smell like paint? I do like the way my Icon sounds alot but if the problem with the smell continues after my friend sets up my amp with his O Scope I'm either going to get a Fi BL 15 or maybe try a SS RL-p 15. Either way I want to use the same box because the box was custom built and a lil pricey.
  15. Thank you for the response. However, I am aware of the port length application. * Lower power handling noted The problem lies in the conundrum wherein the port length to obtain a super low tuning (20-25 hertz) is long enough to force my plans to increase the enclosure size to compensate for this length, unless I lessen the planned port width. That leads to a subsequent question. Relatively speaking, would decreasing a slot port width from 3 inches to 2 inches be inadequate for a 15" driver?
  16. More info and read noob posting guidelines before posting again. hey faget im not a noob i no my shit i was just asking to see what everyones opinion was
  17. I really don’t give a flying fuck about what other people think. If they don’t like it they can drive faster. I do play my system loud all the time, and turn it up at stop lights. Just to piss people off. Yes i have massive trunk rattle and well everything rattles. I can’t hear it, do you think i car if you can? I’ve had people flip me off, get out and yell at me (I love that get to yell back), call cops; pull over to the side of the road. Whatever they do, i always get a laugh out of it, and it brightens my day. Yes i am an arseho but i don’t really give a shit anymore. I have nothing to lose and life just sucks. What ever i can get enjoyment out of i take every advantage of it. That’s my system i love bass and a lot of it. To add I put this though spell check and grammar check to make sure everything is right. So at least you can’t bitch that my grammar and spelling is off. All you can bitch about is my rant. lol
