I'm posting this thread in the general section so that maybe more people will see it. This is a plea to get people to write product reviews. In my opinion, that is one of the most valuable resources that this forum can have yet it is being severely underutilized. Write a review about all of your equipment, not just subs (as I know that's the most popular). We get many threads each day with people trying to figure out what equipment to buy and we could point them to the review section. But right now there are about four reviews in the last four months in there. However, there is a caveat to my encouragement. Please write a good review. This includes positives and negatives in an objective manner, and put your boner for the product/company or your purchase pride aside. A review saying "This sub is so loud and its SQ is great, it rocks," does absolutely no good. We need details details details. Also, do not be afraid to compare to other equipment, such as "I just bought sub x, and although it's louder in the 30-40 hz range in a similar box than my old sub y, the kick drum at the upper end is not as well defined." If you just do the best you can, that's great. If you can't think of everything that needs to be said about it just because you're new to writing reviews, that's ok too, just be prepared for somebody to ask you about it in the thread. But once again, please be as specific and objective as possible.

I was actually about to buy a red top. I am glad i saw this beforehand. I was also looking at the deka's as well though.
  3. Well at least you have an alternate subwoofer to put it, yeah it looks bad but hey it can be fixed.
  4. Hey dumb ass go here www.dcsoundlab.com, just contact rusty @ [email protected] or call him, 1-775-425-5700.
  5. The Dodge van is my wife's. She didn't even let me use up all the hatch space for her sub.

My amp would drown your two amps. Thanks for the opinion!

I would bet money that not one person that has replied and downplayed my amp has even owned one....that shows alot about your opinions. This is what you guys do. Join the crowd and attack the guy with the REAL experience instead of the guys who talk shit and know nothing. It's you that will miss out. As far as efficiency, lets see some pictures of your claims of my amp being 40% efficient. Lets see your meter reading an 8002SW at being 40% efficient. Didn't think so. Just another thing you read on the internet.

So clean its magical DOESN'T matter for shit on subs, you cannot hear distortion even on a pretty cheap class D amp. No way, no how. I have also heard an LP on a front stage and will say that it wasn't any more impressive than ANY other quality amp that I have heard. You bought into the fairy dust marketing hype big time. If not why not prove Richard Clark wrong with your "magical" amp. It's people like you who shouldn't even have car audio as a hobby. If you can't hear the difference from a class a/b to a class d on subs, you shouldn't even upgrade your stock system. Ridiculous. No need to prove Richard Clark wrong. I have owned just about every amp made in the past 20 years and still have about 70 amps at the moment, all old school, and nothing sounds like Linear Power. Nothing.

your doing a good job of making everyone not want to help you at all. people on the forum kid around and if you cant take it then stop posting. your just making it worse by arguing with everyone. if you've been into car audio for 20 years how do you have no idea that under powering a sub is perfectly fine? Asking if it was ok to underpower the sub wasn't the question douchebag!! Way to twist my words around. Some subs don't come alive until a certain power point and that is what I wanted to know. I have heard decent things about the Fi Q and was wondering what the deal was with them. To tell you the truth, I heard their customer service is horrible, and now to see their forum members are a bunch of class d rocking douchebags....I think I will go with the incriminator audio Flatlynes. I have heard none of Fi subs can even compare and the price difference is minimal.
