  1. Group buy ends this week. Only a couple days left. Don't be that one, a day after the group buy is over, that is complaining about needing a group buy. Get the discounts while you can.

Just depends on what your goal is. Since you said embarrass your kickers I assume you want more output? If you want loud dont try to save a few bucks by buying the Q get something that will give you what you want the first time.

No way to tell, not a good way to go about purchasing a sub. Give goals, maximum dimensions of what can fit, amps being used, electrical upgrades already done or will be doing in the future, budget and etc. More information if you want quality help.
  4. You really didn't give enough information. Read noob guidlines before you post again.
  5. I still dont think you can fit a T Line with an 18 in it. It would be shipping container huge. lol Get another 18, but dont let someone talk you into that tline bs. I doubt you would hear much difference just adding more power. Some.
  6. Just install a fuse that is equal to or a little higher than the alt's max amperage. The fuse isn't there to limit the charge from your alt, it's there in case something goes wrong. The fuse will burn out and there will be no signal past the burned fuse. Lets say a fender bender occurs that crushes your alt power wire in between a metal fender and engine block. Well, that huge wire you just installed is now making direct contact with the ground of the car. Without a fuse to pop, You can guarantee there will be a fire.
  7. Update: We have added dual enclosure designs now. For the 15's and up, there are no designs just because they wouldn't be very practical since every vehicle has different dimensions, and they wouldn't work for most..anyways, here's a screen shot of the XCON Dual 12"

If you're worried about resonance get some allthread and some nuts rather than wasting the time and money on corkboard and MDF and building a secondary enclosure. But honestly unless you are trying to squeeze tenths of a decibel out of the enclosure and/or running an extremely high SPL system it's pretty unnecessary. The acoustics of the vehicle will completely swamp any possible effects of enclosure resonances of a well constructed enclosure made with appropriately thick material.
  9. do both. Build your own, 1 ported and 1 sealed. You will then be able to choose which box will actually give you the bass you want instead of relying on us. It would make for a nice review as well

It's totally unnecessary. Just construct it out of MDF and you'll be fine. You have these "audiophiles" with golden ears who do all the changes and the human ear rarely if ever picks up on them. They will show up on measuring devices, but aside from that, forget it. Just build it solid with a dense stable material of appropriate thickness and you're done.
  11. You do not have enough posts to buy/sell on this site. This is also not the section to do it in.
  12. Seriously? Why bump a build log? There hasn't been enough traffic lately to move you off the front page in 2-3 days. Also why bump if not selling something? This isn't the for-sale thread. But of the better note I did love the end of the video where you mom came out. That's priceless.
  13. People have thrown 400 to them in active chief. Just gotta know how to do it.
  14. They were a great set of components. They blew up because my rockford amp at the time went nuts and shot out dc at them. I liked the way they sounded. They can handle a lot more than recommended rms. If you plan on doing this please go active. I used the xover and threw like 250 watts at them and the crossover caught on fire lol.
  15. I would take a Sundown over a Maxxsonics product any day! CEA is all marketing crap anyway!
  16. because horns rely on the acoustics of the car and how the sound rolls out of the horn to achieve it's efficiency that people assume will be achieved. They must be mounted under the dash properly, otherwise.. it will loose efficiency if just ran wide open like any other speaker.
  17. I don't think RE told anyone to send 250 watts to these babies !!! What did you expect ?!! They look pretty, high quality. But I never listened to them. Try to listen to what they sell in your local shops, and tell us what you like or dislike. Then.......ask M5 ! He knows his sh*
