  1. Not to much info to post right this second....
  2. thought id post a family pic here. gotta love SSA!
  3. Clipping has no effect on tinsel leads. If you can smell it, you are giving it too much power. Period. Only other thing that may cause this is a faulty amplifier that is producing something other than the intended signal and it's harmonics.... Probably not the issue in your case.

Well, they may not have a team, but im gonna get one of their 12" Stickers and slappin that on my car somewhere
  5. Nothings wrong with DD, just not popular here I guess it's the same way if I go over to smd and don't have DC subs, people flip their shit. Basically LOL Ive never seen a site ride one companys nuts so hard. It amazes me. Not saying DC products don't get loud, or have terrible sq, or anything in particular, no need for details. But just the idea of people seeing large builds with lots of power = this product is loud. I want loud. I need that product. It has a big motor. It weighs a lot. It must be loud. It's only rated for 600watts, but it's such a monster driver that it can actually take 2000watts. Everyone else is doing it, I better jump on board. This product is for me! And obviously this could be seen for other companies as well, but damn is it crazy with DC. And if you don't have DC, then fuck you. It honestly is amazing to me the massive DC following. Meaning, why people are buying them in the first place and think they are the best products available, since most of the DC designs are dated when Fi drivers exist for less money, are customizable, newer designs, built in the USA etc. etc. Really shows the brain power of those who push that brand so hard.
  6. I have a new saz 1500v.2 FS in the classifieds. Yeah but not for the amount he is willing to pay. im sorry jaycee i did not see his budget for a new 1500dv2. he did say he could get a used one for 287 during a sale (mayne they will be sold out before he buys one) and he didnt want to pay more than 300 for the OA. if you have nothing to add to a post...save it.
  7. Okay, finally got to install some of the Damp Pro I won in a contest. Gotta say the stuff is really quite nice. I only got to put some on the passenger door but it made for a nice A-B comparison with the untreated drivers door. Surprisingly there was a VERY noticeable difference in the sound between the drivers and passenger doors that I'll sum up as cleaner sounding bass and midrange and a feelable difference in the impact of the bass as well. The best part is I can expect even better results when I get the CCF and MLV installed!!! Here's the pics of the progress of the installation.

I promise you, they are building at full tilt, as in 7 days a week with help flown in to catch up, I would know as I am on the phone usually every day with them to find out. We (SSA) had a number of recones that had to go out because they came in first, and a number of orders will be going out shortly. We have put so many things on the back burner just to focus on current orders.
  9. I picked these up to hopefully help with the baffle issue. Pretty strong, 1/4steel all the way, and cheap also, $5 bucks at HD.
  10. Pulled all the amps out.... Battery/Amp rack time....

  12. A clipped signal would/could burn leads. maybe thats the smell. Seen it happen before
