It all depends on what frequencies your vehicle will peak at. Plus is your goal SPL or listening to music? Tuning low will most likely not do well in comps unless you are doing a very high powered system. My enclosure is tuned at 28hz. and my truck install peaks at 32hz. In my case it's not really ideal for trying to win a DB Drag. With cheaper subs I would not try to tune them low due to over excursion which will cause the subs to bottom out. Larger port area generally reduces mach percentage which has an effect on the "huffing" sound produced from the port. It also has an effect on the actual resistance the sub sees while trying to hit each individual wave cycle produced by each freq. note. Longer ports will give you a lower tuning and shorter will give you a higher tuning. Port area and port length go hand in hand as far as actual tuning. Change the port area and the port length will change as well to keep the same desired tuning.

  3. And no such thing as underpowering. If your budget allows there are a multitude of reasons to step up to the X
  4. Bigot's don't belong in office, religion doesn't either. John Adams quoted once that the United States was not founded upon the ideals of religion, the interpretation of the Constitution has become very skewed
  5. We need two guys running the nation and that's it. Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
  6. At the beginning of the video, he states that "Piers Morgan called me a bigot. Because I believe what the Catholic church teaches with respect to homosexuality, I'm a bigot. So now I'm a bigot, because I believe what the Bible teaches. Now, that 2000 years of teaching and moral theology is now bigoted." Apparently he doesn't like to be called a bigot. Merriam-Webster defines it as: So yes, even though he doesn't like to be referred to as a bigot, or the Catholic church to be labeled as such, they in fact are. Sorry, 2000 years of teaching and moral theology can't change the fact that treating homosexuals with hatred and/or intolerance is bigotry. Strike 1. At 0:45 he states that legally allowing homosexual marriage will "...it will undermine the family. It will destroy faith in America...and will anybody go out there and make the argument as to why this is a good thing because it will happen. Make the argument why this is right." He's running to be the President of the United States. Whether or not anybody likes to admit it, the USA is a secular nation. Faith and religion should not play any part in electing the Chief Executive. Also, the student, while a bit arrogant, is correct in referencing the studies and court documents presented by the American Psychological Association, Canadian Psychological Association, and Australian Psychological Association that "make the argument why this is right." Strike 2. After scoffing at the student's rebuttal, he rebukes the validity of the APA, as well as the AMA at 2:12 when he states that "An organization supporting a position is not evidence". Uh, really? See Strike 1. Strike 3. Yup, he's definitely a douche. As to your original question: Only if you're seeking election to a public office. Someone on a message board or some random guy on the street? Just another random asshole. Nothing wrong with being either, mind you. I certainly enjoy being both.
  7. ^^^ To the OP: doubling either cone area or power causes a 3 db increase, but this is just a generalization and is not alway the case. Usually doubling power is less efficient than doubling cone area.
  8. you might need a relay pulling too much current from the HU.
