  1. I think they do, but I watched that Micheal Moore doc. on them. They apparently have a high level of crime that goes on in their parking lots (theft, kidnapping, rape), they install cameras, but have no one to monitor them. It wasn't Michael Moore, it was a Richard Greenwald documentary called "The High Cost of Low Prices". Regardless, I'd call & report it to the police. From what I could find briefly via Google the value for a crime to become "grand theft" instead of just petty larceny in California is $950. If you could establish that the value they took was over that amount it would be a felony which might help your case considering it's probably on camera.
  2. No such thing as underpowering....
  3. Enclosure recommendations. http://www.incriminatoraudio.com/update/index.php?page=3&cat=2
  4. You can NEVER underpower a sub. I don't know anything about those Memphis subs, but you would be damn happy with 2 bl 10's off of 1,000 watts!
  5. Who gives a flying fart what it's going to sound like. The only way to keep the industry alive is people like you enjoying the hobby. It sounds like y'all are having fun playing around with a new setup and wanted to share with everyone. I dont know why anyone would want to scoff at that. And any one mature enough should realize this and be encouraging.
  6. I found out that I was not going to use it, I tried to give it away for free, but no one was interested, maybe because it was made for a odd speaker size, 11" subs. Had no room for it just standing around in the already small garage, so out it went. Learned a bit more of what to do and what not to do when building a fiberglass/mdf combo box, so adding some points for experience and that it. Fine by me Anyway, a N2 18" is maybe a much funner sub to have, making a pretty big box for it, about 7 cubic feet net. Tuned to 31-32hz, should hit the lows pretty good? I'm working on the box these days, it's looking pretty good I think Back to the doors, I actually came across "readymade" door panels. They were not ready. Halfway ready at most Finish was good, but fitment was rather crap to be honest. Did not fit at all, needs major surgery to fit. But they look pretty good though. For a "proper" build they need to be modified a bit, they have really flimsy mounting points and if you were to mount speakers directly to it, the whole panel would vibrate bigtime. I might make new door spacers to fit the Focal midbasses, although they are nearly 8" in reality (specced as 7"), I should be able to fit them behind the door panel, and just use the panels as trim. They look like this: and where they are supposed to be straight: The lower parts of the doora has a really big opening behind the doorpanel: so I made a cardboard template that filled this out: and transferred the template to a 8mm thick plastic sheet: This is fastened with industrial 3M VHB doublesided tape around the edges, and then a layer of Second Skin Damplifier Pro over the panel and its edges to seal it properly up. Looks like this all sealed and dampened:
  7. Take it to a scrap yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Just hang in there man you'll get it soon enough! +1 about the address location
  9. If memory serves me correctly, they're switching to an American metal supplier. You'll get your sub soon enough. Believe me, it's worth it. And lol @ you putting your address in the "location" section...
  10. 1 point
Let's close this topic as it serves no real purpose. To b00sted, in your next topic (what ever it may be), please provide much more information. SSA is not one of the many pointless, low-level forums that have topics like this that provide little to no info and then have a bunch of kiddies replying to it based on hype or "nuthugging" with no actual knowledge or experience.
  11. Sorry onebadmonte ... but the king of SSA has spoken ... Try to fight him and recommend something else that will help the op will only damage your reputation points ... Thats why I quit ... Just my suggestion bro ...
  12. It's not about reputation points ! It's about opinions. You can say what you want, if it's serious. The OP will follow what he feels is good for him. Always interesting to have several opinions. then you choose what you want. I did not know ///M5 was a king ! lol. He seems to know what he says, but you too ! OP, sorry. I quit ! Sorry bro ... i'm tired of giving suggestion from what i've learned in the Competition lanes only to get shot down by horns and alot of cone area ... Sorry op ... didn't mean to start anything ....
  13. Wtf are cookies. I put it on craigslist.
  14. No I stated that it's not maintaining voltage. I'm asking $50. I actually see alot of people posting bad batteries, figured someone will buy mine.
  15. No offense to IA, but those are just some standard comps, nothing real special, so that's one main reason the price is very reasonable. Which isn't a bad thing. Which I'm sure IA designed these just to compete with other entry level comps but give options to people who like to "match" equipment.
  16. Not trying to be a dick but your reviews are all subjective and doesn't actually mean much. And unless you have actually owned each set and had them installed properly, its hard to determine anything you stated. Just like with subs, install is just as important on how a speaker will sound. Point is, people could read your post and believe every word you say, when actually it might not be true.
