  1. So Stephen is a college kid trying to raise money for college by selling his preordered Skar amplifiers and some Sundown amplifiers he purchased from you, but also appears to operate an ebay business selling car audio installation accessories, which is coincidentally a line of business you were involved in, and is located in Tampa, FL which also happens to be the location of EastCoastCarAudio.com you co-founded according to your signature and ECCA's facebook page? It's also interesting that your old ebay business (1800Woofers) and Mr. Stephens sell extremely similar accessories....Raptor, Tsunami, etc. I don't think you can deny it's not a far leap to draw the conclusions that have been drawn. Either it's just a giant coincidence that you & Stephen have the same supplier and just happen to operate(d) extremely similar businesses selling similar products and happen to share atleast one common location (Tampa), or there is more of a connection than you would like to lead on. You know what else is really interesting? 1800Woofers last feedback was left in April '11. Guess when the ebay user zaffiriiuno became active selling on ebay again? No feedback as a seller from Nov '10 until April '11, a couple feedback left in April for sales....then in July the user starts selling Sundown, Skar shortly thereafter and in August '11 he starts selling the exact same install accessories that 1800woofers was selling. ECCA, that business you co-founded that's located in Tampa according to facebook, was founded in what year? Oh, that's right.....2011 (according to that facebook page). It looks to me that the business from 1800Woofers was simply switched over to a different username. It appears you are undercutting your dealers by selling your products on Ebay at below MAP pricing. But I'm sure it's all just a giant coincidence, we're all just reading way too much into it, and you'll have an excuse for everything.
  2. Painted the inside of the amplifier rack:
  3. Due to a very high need to keep track of everyone's recones, and to cut down on shipping quote time on our end we decided to get a bit more efficient and post these recone kits with various options per sub woofer series in our store. This is a much better way for us and for you as the customer to keep track of your recone status with SSA. ***We apologize in advance for some of the shipping quotes you may receive via UPS, in this day and age, there is nothing we can do about the raising cost of shipping rates. Enjoy. http://www.soundsolu...gories/Recones/
  4. Also you will notice I turned it so the subs face foward.
  5. I spent the day removing the box to carpet it. I did not get a lot of pictures today, but here you go.
  6. Another small update:
  7. You guys realize the AWG has little to do with the size here? Strand count and construction are going to be your major factors in overall size, not AWG. Taking measurements of differerent wires with different strand construction is pointless, you cannot compare them. The brands like KNU look bigger becasue they are smaller individual strands and are loosely constructed, not because they have more copper. The Welding cable is smaller because it has larger strands and more efficient construction. The only real way to determain the AWG is to measure the diameter of a single strand and then count how many there are. Unless you do this, you have no idea what the AWG is.
  8. I have had a ton of different subs, and the DCON has one of the best performance to price ratios out of all that I have had. It is a very solid subwoofer. I owned the 15's and I was very impressed with them.
  9. It's all good. I was just scratching my head going WTF is he saying here. LOL.
  10. ugh, the one time someone gets a dcon 15, they dont know how to get anything working... awesome lol. im considering getting one, but I want some input or a review.
  11. nice... Keep that thing in 'Auto' for the most part... And use the flash maybe indoors, the lighting in your "subwoofer sex room" seems to be quite yellow in tint.. Lots of special lighting in there I bet... mhmmm
  12. I disagree with this post. The sub level on a hu should be at zero. All six RCA outputs should have the same output voltage then. I say should because not all hu's are the same but by design this is how they work. I never adjust the sub level on the hu. But if I would it would be to turn it down not up. An separate eq or sub processor would be better to use in this case. That is how I do it but I know that everybody does something different. If the op does not understand the adjustments on the equipment he using then that is definitely an issue. I have never used a DCON. But I would suspect that if all adjustments are done correctly then possibly the enclosure is at fault or the driver just isn't the right one for him. That is relative to the unit itself. Overall all sub level controls will adjust the rca output. At the lowest level the unit will be using 1-2 volts in most cases. All though again, it does depend on the unit and overall design of how that company wanted the sub level control to operate with the other features. Overall though, most source units work in this way.
  13. I hope all my brothas dodged the twisters and nobody was affected. Prayers have gone out.
  14. A truck is ideal for a front stage only, put that extra money into the fronts and you'll feel like this every time you ride in it.
  15. Small update/tease from my cell phone:
  16. I love my no name subs. There kinda loud also.
  17. Tell your 'friend' that this supposed no name sub shares some DNA with the BTL. They are in the same class and both are great values for the amount of material, machining and very high quality made in the USA fact compared to Chinese copies for the same or more money. No name sub, hahaha.
  18. That would depend, first and most foremost, what he determines as "blow". From the topic, I would assume he is claiming that his BTL is surely louder than a ZCON. Do you know what BTL he has? First Generation (triple stacked circular magnets), 2nd generation (big UFO shaped magnet), or which one of the newest BTL? Again, I don't have any first-hand experience with the ZCON. I owned a 2nd generation 18" BTL for a year. Obviously I can't say which is louder, but if I understand correctly, which i may not, the ZCON is a competitor with the musical variants of the BTL. Meaning: it would come down to installation details to determine which would be louder.
