    Yes. My name and date
  2. Why not port your Type R?
  3. thanks fatty. still trying to figure it all out.
  4. Looking good Steve. That wall looks great.
  5. I took out my spare after I talked to bigjon, and popped out a stock plug and replaced it with a grommet. I drilled a hole in the frame, and sanded it clean. Here it is installed from underneath. I ran it through the rubber exhaust hanger. An here's how far I got.
  6. Jacob signed it. I plan on relocating the trunk hinges and doing some cutting/welding behind the rear seat area to make this fit the way I want. I am seriously thinking about getting a Pioneer DEX-P99RS. It has all of the tuning features I would want in a processor and it would save on a bunch of additional wiring.
  7. couldnt help it... not so much getting done. we dropped the baby off at the godmoms house and headed to the beach.

Nice amp. I wish I had the electrical for that much powa
  9. Like Tirefryr said, the McIntosh and Clarion shared some technology (such as Power Guard) since there was some ownership interest there, but they are not the same amp. On the other hand, some of Clarion's headunits from that time are extremely similar to the McIntosh units. The Clarion DRX 9255 is nearly identical to the McIntosh 406.
  10. I have noticed high school sports are not what I remember.
  11. Clarion shared stock with McIntosh. They were never a majority owner or parent company. They did share some technologies as is evident here, but you can be guaranteed they are not 100% the same. This amp was produced back in the day when Clarion still made their amps themselves and was of good quality. You have a good amp whether it shares ties with Mc or not.
  12. i guess this is progress. i have to measure each hole independently because the wall is unsymetrical. anyway 1 more hole cut and good clearance. Also adjusted and tightened up the 2nd alt bracket. lines up nice but i cant start the car to check it yet. waiting to install the new powersteering hose.
  13. some goodies for the new subs Here was my problem. i needed this real estate to fit the spread the 15s enough to get a decent port in the center. being the pimp that i am i always have supplies handy to fix shit. now its nice and rounded instead of that sharp 90 interfering in the party.
  14. Recones are all finished up. good as new. pulled the old wall back out today also. tomorrow ill cut my holes in the new baffle and design the port. and do some work inside the wall. ill also add 4 more sets of binding posts and run new 8 gauge speaker wire. ( already have)
  15. a few family shots as requested by the boss.
  16. This single picture is all you need to know about the Zcon... 5 months of beating the living piss out of these subs with twice RMS. bass boost maxed, gain maxed, anything i could do to gain .1 db i did. clipped signal, low voltage demos, name it. heres what the coils looked like today after all that. D2 coils still read dead on 1.4 and looked brand damn new. you physically can not tell the old coil from the new one im putting in. it looks perfect.
  17. new alt bracket mocked up with factory alt. Singer is sending me a little bit larger than stock case to see how big i can fit here. I dont think i can fit the big 350A unit here. worst case....240a plus the 350A under the car. If you remember, this is where the old belt tensioner was. new bracket mocked up. And voila! dual alts. this is the stock unit for now. no more spring loaded tensioner. now i have a turn buckle type. much nicer. Mike also said he had a prototype goodie he was sending me.... well see what it is when it gets here.
