  1. What I was trying to say earlier to worry less about power (with in your budget), as higher ratted power of an amplifier does not always equal more output. The enclosure design, along with a number of other things will have more effect on the overall output then throwing more watts at a sub woofer. More wattage is usually the least efficient way to gain output, not to mention the added strain on the electrical system.
  2. levitating bed on magnets. http://imgur.com/a/VWhr7
  3. Looks good TIM! You should keep up the good work! Sealing off the wall turned out great. And i LOL win they said its not designed for 8k rpm, well no shit
  4. How about ferrite and cut the price in half?
  5. I like the way you sealed of the sides..... looks.... familiar.
  6. Love paying off the remaining debt, kind of excited getting closer to the end.
  7. Best thing to do is chill, they'll get ya the sub when it is done. When ordering custom made to order subs it takes them time and if they get slammed it can take a bit longer but you can rest assured your getting some of the best out there.
  8. took me about a month to get my subs from fi.... be patient...
  9. Thanks Aaron. He has some good rep but not a whole lot. It's very stressful because we all want to trust everyone right? I really hope my first experience won't become something I regret. I know the feeling, but sadly there seems to be more shady people in car audio then trusty worthy people.
  10. Good luck with your transaction. I hope it is not a scammer as so many on that site have been.
  11. The motor would be too wide and heavy in Ferrite, IMO. We are trying to keep reflection on the motor down as well -- a big flat top plate and magnet right behind the cone isn't what we want.
  12. Looking for a four stroke or two stroke? Budget? I'd look for some KTMs. Pretty much everyone I ride with (including my dad) has KTMs, both 4stroke and 2stroke, and none of them have ever had any issues. If I was to bet money on which bikes were the most reliable, that's where I'd put my money. Personally I like 2strokes, and in that case I'd be looking for some exc/xc/xc-w 250cc, 300cc. I believe the exc has lights and all that street legal stuff, where as the xc and xc-w do not. The xc-w is the wide ratio tranny version of the xc. That option will likely depend more on what your riding, perhaps the "w" plus changing gearing would help if you plan on cruising around town on it. The 300cc version is basically the same weight as the 250cc, but faster, more torque, easier to climb up hills, etc. If you go the 4stroke route, check out their xc-w 450. They just came out with a sweet 350 4stroke, but doubt you want to spend over $7k USD on a brand new bike. I'm actually riding a suzuki rm250 now (motocross bike), and it does just fine for all the single track and technical stuff we do. Haven't had any issues with it either. Really the list could go on and on as to what bikes are decent, the above is just what I've personally rode. I don't know if there is any sand dunes or anything like that near you, but if the bike has paddle tires, I wouldn't bother with it. In a nutshell, I would like a 2-stroke, road-legal bike. 250cc should be plenty. 4-stroke also works. Pricing is not going to be clear since I don't live in the US but under 2k used is something I would shoot for. I was looking at the RM250 and compared to a street bike I've been eying up (Suzuki GS500e), they are much more expensive and not road-legal Because of your location I'd check out KTM, Husqvarna, MZ, and other European brands as they should be cheaper than US and Asian imports. Also, don't limit yourself to just motorcycles: having fun on 2 wheels is having fun on 2 wheels, no?
  13. Feel free to post that up everywhere before the freaking blind kiddies think it's the greatest thing since peanut butter cups. Just want to clear one thing up. Nothing can beat the amazing peanut butter cup, to suggest such things should be considered blasphemy! Just sayin.... Julian, you ever get those trim panels made up yet? Also, are you not sticking with those amps?
  14. Gotta hear that for sure. FYI ordered my OPTI 6000D today. Lol
  15. Things are really coming together nice man You coming to Slamology? I'm being lazy if you've already answered or stated this......
  16. 1 point
Honestly I would go with a pair or even a trio of 12" subs! Height will not be a factor and you will not have to worry about squeezing in a box for 2 15".
  17. Yep, i thought that's what it was... Glad it was an easy find.
  18. Nice! What are you doing about your alt? Was it stock or h/o?

  20. numbers are 150.8 sealed on dash 153 flat in kick sealed and 57. something pass door opened off of the 4k and then I just strapped the amps and its doing 55.8 on music and 57.9 burp at 36hz havent done a kick score yet or any open doors............ very nutty and the subs are asking me for more power
  21. not sure if I missed it but did you ever demo the E.S. Posthumus? just curious.. Not yet, but I came across my old C&C Music Factory cd. holy shyt... that needs to be played... lmao It sure will, I was suprised how good it sounded.
  22. I saw that on their FB page I think. The obvious choice is the install with the Xcon's.
  23. Tuned in man. I'm have been working out and eating better myself.
  24. From everything I've learned: I would throw out processed foods, avoid sugar, and gradually lower your carbohydrate intake. Also check out www.marksdailyapple.com, and download his free primal PDFs. Good luck.
  25. You are correct, middle of the door is a terrible location. My two suggestions would be: 1) Kickpanels (my favorite, if room allows & you can fit proper airspace) 2) Cut some metal, rework the door panel and mount them here: If you want to go the "easy way out" you could always try to build some mounting rings to give yourself more mounting depth of the panel allows, but I don't really like the factory mounting locations anyways so I would cut some metal or go for kickpanels.
