  1. Again like I stated in the email you sent, sorry that this has happened. We ship thousands of subs this way with no issue, and we do still crate up the heavier subs. This product was def. mistreated during the shipping process. Again just let me know if you need help with anything, that is what I'm here for. Email is the quickest way to reach me.
  2. At the end of the day it is your system. As long as you are happy with it, that is all that matters.
  3. I scroll past it fast, as if that helps
  4. I don't think anybody was bashing you. Just trying to point you in a better direction. There is a reason most people run 12v setups at 15.5, and uts not because they're to dumb to know otherwise like another member thinks. Trust me your amp does not "like" 18v better than 12v. It will however like reserve for daily driving and demos. Simple math says it should make more power on 18v vs 12v. I can't argue that but it hardly fit the goals I knew you to have.
  5. Higher preamp output voltage will only make a difference if the noise induced in the signal transfer is high enough to be audible with a lower voltage preamp. If you don't have audible noise in the signal transfer from the headunit to the amplifier, then a higher preamp voltage will make absolutely no audible difference at all**. You won't notice anything different about your system or how it sounds because of the higher preamp voltage. ** With a higher preamp voltage, you MUST readjust the gain. With a properly matched gain, there will be no audible difference assuming the signal-to-noise ratio with the lower preamp voltage was low enough as to not be audible. The only other case where a higher preamp voltage might make a difference is if the amplifier is noisy with a higher gain setting. But this is really the fault of the amplifier, not a fault of the lower preamp voltage. That said, there might be other features in a headunit that will allow you to adjust the system in a way that improves the sound. But I honestly haven't clicked either of the links, I was simply responding to the question of preamp voltage.
  6. not cool charles, not cool. i dont break shit, i stop well before things detonate.....cheezy on the other hand...................well, we'll see how this 16v time bomb goes....lol, i can smell roasted fets all the way from naptown!
  7. Me: and quit calling them nendos...they are cendos Sencheezy: But it wasn't a "burp" box bish its nendos wtf Me: ITS NOT CRESCNENDO THERE IS 1 FUCKING N IN CRESCENDO Sencheezy: right cendos is not no where in there!!!! ohhhhhh lmfao really/ Me: cres CENDO Sencheezy: aw your right LMFAO ok ok you win that one u dum son
  8. I agree with Nem 100%, I'm sick of people telling me what can or cannot be done when they've never tried or seen it attempted. I do admit to having half witted ideas sometimes but they are not with out reason at the end of the day the only thing that matters is you being happy. You're welcome cheezy, I'm sure your setup will do fine as long as you take the time to do it properly. Javier beats the shit out of those amps and they're running .25 each! It may not be the loudest thing out there but I challenge anyone to sit in the pucker with the door closed for a full song. Good luck, I'm looking forward to this.
  9. I laughed so hard.
  10. I've never been a fan of the packaging either. Just too flimsy for the weight of the subs IMHO. Knowing that we have to pay for the packaging anyway, I think it should be an option too. Pay XX number of dollars for the heavy duty reinforced packaging for those of us who don't trust or have had bad experiences with the shipping companies. Just my little idea.
  11. Lol just saw this thread. Honestly for whatever reason there are like a handful of words that I can't spell to save my life. Crescendo is one of them. On several forums I've seen it abbreviated as such and thought that was the appropriate way to do it. Point taken lol
  12. They can afford it . Has absolutely nothing to do with the company affording it. You the customer purchasing the product are paying for everything involved with that product including the packaging material. Some portion of that $$ you are paying to Sundown or the dealer for whatever product you purchase is going to pay for the packaging of the product. It doesn't come out of the companies bottom line, it comes out of your pocket. That said, I agree with Fi's packaging being on the less spectacular side of things.
  13. a 44 @ the headrest is nice! good job bro, keep it up
  14. That's how every subwoofer I have bought from Fi and SSA has been. I have never had a problem. That is all Fed Ex's fault. The only way it could've be packaged better is if it were crated.
  15. I got mine with 69K for $19k flat including tax/title/fees. My current box is tuned to 27 and I like it. Occasionally I'll listen to dubstep and those real low, artificial drops I want to be more present than they were previously, so while I was flirting with the length of the port, it ends up being 29.79 hz. I'm not too concerned with a couple decibels, so I didn't care too much, just wanted to get a higher "port area/foot" number and this way it's 12.5 instead of 12.04 (I'm probably flirting with miniscule difference, though). The big three will come in time, and I definitely intend to go darker on the back eventually.
  16. I am too from Saginaw lol I went to South Middle, then moved to Flint, and now I'm in Nashville. I was actually in flint/grand blanc/detroit/toledo this weekend I have one zcon and one bc5500
  17. 16v is far from idiot proof...it can be much harder on amplifiers especially if you try to run a lower impedance.. 14v system is ideal, but I run 12v with a shit ton of reserve. You also must run a separate electrical system from your ecu on your car..otherwise you'll burn stuff up
  18. So I now have a total of (6) XS Power XP1000's and shall be a member of team XS very soon These will be used to power my two Cendo BC5500s I don't need these just yet, but at the price, I couldn't avoid. I will be running an independant alternator for this system as well
  19. Heres it is debadged
  20. Got some small items in today
  21. Thanks for posting those pics Senchez......but F you on being quiet butthead!! I think you're angry because after I install something it continues to work ;-) Oh yeah, how you gonna let a "lady friend" make your decisions?...someone sounds a bit pu**y whipped!
  22. if you got noise coming through your sub, never crank the stereo up. It can easily take out both the sub and amp(fry the input stage).
  23. Finished the CF Dustcap install.
