Usually for a more Spl orientated build tuning around 35hz and up is more desirable. Tuning to 32hz would give you more Low end but would not have quite the output. I also Second getting Ryan at Ramdesigns to design you a box. He takes all perimeters into affect and gives you a cut list and also a 3d model which really helps visualize the box during building. Also for around $25 +/- $5 it wont break the bank, and will give you a better chance of it turning out how you want it.

And don't even think about doing over 16 sqin per cuft - that is reserved for SPL applications only. Oh - and less port = better lows, more port gives you better high bass. i am running an audiopipe ap1500.1d not only is the 2 1500w's a more stable choice but its also cheaper. i run ap1500 on my 15 in gcon and boy that baby rocks. if your only getting 1 15 id say sell the 3000 and get a 1500. 1/0 cable or 0awg. big three and 2 nice battery's remember the more AH (amp hours) the more reserve. in other words less voltage drop. double fuse in between batterys aswell. i am running 2 ngt extreme platinums they are 55 ah a peice so 110 and my voltage barely drops. just a few suggestions from what ive learned

i would re think the idea of two 18's 4cubes each kind of wont like the sound i hated it, my buddys one fi bl12(2.5cubes after port with 40inchs of port area tuned 32) had more low end then my 18 pitiful...you learn though, reasons why manufactures say a certain cubic range. Just my 2cents you can still no matter what your going to have bass though,

IMO you shouldn't replace but add to the factory wires. Just in case it messes with a computer somehow- keeps it safe

One thing not mentioned in the topic, is that the "digging" or the "low low's" are heavily effected by the enclosure.

I installed a setup with a 10' Dcon on a 300 watt kicker amp in a box tuned to 30 hz. It "dug" the lowes quite nicely. My vote is either the Dcon or the OA.
