  1. Shit, I want to take an awesome vid of my new video camera being unboxed, but I can't figure out how to use it while it's stil in the box. Any help would be really appreciated. You all just have to see this awesome, high gloss packaging with pretty pictures on it, and man, I am SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited. Get yours now! And buy a toothbrush too bitches!
  2. average person just wants some mid bass bump between there tweeters and sub stage. They dont want to get deep into the science of it all which would most likely sound better. OP has seen this brand get good amount of reviews and wanted some comfort in his choice before pulling the trigger. OP the chain is only as strong as the weakest link, Since its your car you do whatever you think is best for you they are also your ears so again do your setup however you want if and when you think theres room to improve start doing a lot of reading.
  3. Where do you eat out? That's the price of 2 beers and a tip, not meals. That's why I limit my going out to the bar. Too expensive,! Rather spend it on subs, amps or speakers! well then you dont want to go out on a night with me!
  4. Responses that come from M5 and Impious are exactly why I (and many others) joined this forum. I don't want people who own the brand to tell me to buy it because they like it. If I wanted that I'd read and trust product reviews from Sonic Electronix and Crutchfield.
  5. Cept the culture of CAPITALISM! I mean...we don't want to be SOCIALISTS do we? That's almost COMMUNISM! You misunderstood me completely, I am a huge capitalist. The problem isn't capitalism at all, but the fact that we are breeding an era of uneducated dipshits that have no class, no culture, no work ethic, no desire and are slugs. Somehow even with all that there is the need to have everything that other cultures have, but not to work for it. As a country the answer has been to buy cheaper. No longer do home appliances last 20+ years, but instead 5. Everything here is disposable as the desire to not wait and "save a buck" is so strong it's destroying the American dream. That and the political direction of the country due to this desire to have what you won't work for is fucking scary as well. If you can't afford it, save up, work more, do something. Not like a sub in general is expensive. Put it in perspective. I just did some landscaping and hired a guy off CL for $15/hr to be my grunt. He put in 20 hours of hauling shit. $300 buys a pretty sweet sub and was 2 days worth of work. It really isn't that hard to save up some money if you actually try. And sitting on your ass watching tv and the internet "looking" for a job is not trying.

The driver is built to handle more power and underrated. It is used as a marketing technique. They built a stronger driver, rate lower, then make videos of testing with more power and people are fooled into thinking it's better than it is because it can handle more power than it's rated for. It sells product to the ignorant and misinformed.
  7. Here you go guys let me know what you think! What is Google Sketchup? Sketchup is a free 3d modeling program that is made by Google. It is used around the world for its ease of use and accurate function. Where do I get it? Right here: http://sketchup.google.com/download/ Download the basic version. What is the advantage? You can basically "build" your box before you make a single cut! Get an idea what it will look like, even lay out all the boards to make sure you get the most use out of a sheet! How do I use it? Watch my video below! If there is any additional information or questions please let me know!
  8. This from a guy who was proposing to hit women earlier...including the one you speak of. Your perception of reality is a bit odd to say the least. I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps we are both angry. Bummer, dude. But the good thing is you know what it is, and you can control it. You prick.

They are no longer produced so you are just going to have to keep looking. What size and coil configuration are you looking for? There is a very slight chance i know someone who is willing to part with theirs.

You will smell burning electrical. Keep the clip light off,
  11. This from a guy who was proposing to hit women earlier...including the one you speak of. Your perception of reality is a bit odd to say the least. yeah, i have only hit my wife once and that was about 10yrs ago and it was more of a slap. i treat her with a ton of respect. she is my wife and the mother to my kids. if you only knew our history you would understand a little more, but we have been through a hell of alot together. Yea I'm still gonna say you need some professional help brother. J
  12. Great things take time!
  13. Then that's about a 6.5 hour drive. I'll be able to go check out the haunt as well with Neal!!
  14. Do you know how many amps use the same board? How many subs use the same baskets? its astounding honestly, but its a different company and the name hikes the price up because of name or better components.. Go figure Just like old lexus/camry was the same car just like an expedition/navigator same company slight adjustments slight price differences

The correct way a sub is rated is it is tested over a period of time until the subs t/s parameters changes in a way that it would hinder its operation as tared by its parameters But you have to ask the question what exactly does the rating means as nearly no one states this clearly. Is it a rms thermal rating, is it the above, or is it a rms rms musical rating like it sounds like you are asking. And if it's a musical rating what type and size of enclosure bc that will affect how much the sub will take.
  16. Lol @ me... Looking hood* Was supposed to say good. Hey, slow and steady, wins the bass! Treat it like you have, taking the time into each detail that is required. I would assume that I speak for most of the folks following your build, that the appeal is largely due to the details. Deadening and electrical....definitely rewarding facets of the build.
  17. I think the real issue is your camera does so much more than it is rated for and you are unsure of the over rated potential. Marketing shams always help make things better.
  18. It's easy for me to say to take your time and do it all now. But I get anxious too. Are you even sure you are picking up the 2nd amp? If you are how soon? I would go ahead and run all the cable if you know where it is going. That way when you get the amp you can just drop it in. Didn't you want to deaden some stuff too?
  19. that's the 9k. The 10ks are so far on back order its not even funny. Would love to have also.
  20. Thnx! Heres my new version of the background. Color doesnt show right in these iphone pics but i tried to get in close to so u have an idea.

  22. so i picked up a new toy the other night
  23. I'd always give everyone the opportunity to do right, in particular when the ramifications are no different to you. I'm SERIOUSLY suspect though
  24. I'd file now. Yeah I would too.
  25. Woo hoo!! I am in que myself now Tony.
  26. Chuck wants pics in here.. I will post some more pics in here next week I need to keep progress priority while pics come second. So far- BC5500d 1 and 2 installed! WOOT! Working on front stage #1 next and begin running 200 ft of remote wire and installing ALL OTHER BATTERIES next!
  27. Thanks man, posted!
  28. has nothing to do with the appearance of the basket.
  29. I'd agree with this but when an item is $20.00 or so more from SSA then don't eat out for 2 meals and you've paid for it. The customer service Aaron and Mark give and just caring about what they sell is worth more to me than saving 20 bucks. Where else can you ask a question after hours and receive a response in less than an hour? I just placed an order for a new XS Xp3000 and while I could save a few bucks somewhere else I ordered from SSA because of the customer service and the time they invest in this forum helping out customers like you and me. problem is when people take all the info and the time they volunteer then buy from someone else to save five bucks. Thanks guys
  30. Love the huge rubber weights, like to see what they would do with real 45's on there. At least they do something a bit more "complex", not like 90% of the people who put all the effort into chest and biceps. Until they fuck their back up, and never be right again.
  31. yo, picked up some 12" subs for my ride.
  32. Unfortunately that requires that you assume that without a shadow of a doubt that your more expensive "quality" product will not fail and also that the less expensive "shitty" product WILL fail. So...if your "quality" product does not fail, and neither does the "shitty" product in fact fail then...geez you'll feel like a jackass. Hell, if both the "quality" and "shitty" product both break, you'll still feel like a jackass. God forbid your "quality" product should fail and the "shitty" product last...that would be a shame, wouldn't it? Moral of the story: Price indicates next to NOTHING about a product. Also, take care of your stuff, no matter how "quality" you feel like it is, or you might just end up feeling like a jackass. I always find it funny when I see a topic on another site and it is a comparison topic of something we sell and something someone else sells and they almost always go with the cheaper product from the other site based on price alone. We lose countless sales because we don't offer free shipping on many products, but what most do not understand is that if we did, we would be losing money and that is exactly the opposite reason we work so many hours on this for so little in return.
  33. Yea thats kool with me!
  34. New rear calipers on the P5 + recently installed StopTech rotors and pads = jamming the brakes feels like a rubber mallet to the chest.
  35. Not how they did it. Not even close. Your subconscious brain is faster than your conscious brain and obviously you do math slowly otherwise you wouldn't have said red hammer. Time to go back to school man, you are always in a great mood huh? do you need a hug? you always sound pissed off all the time that is your perception on how u read my comments....and it is wrong
  36. If one of the options was Sundown, you would have chosen it
  37. nothing wrong wt a lil brand loyalty. Exactly, difference between us and most, is we do not have nut huggers, we have return customers.

However, since Kevin calls it under rated it may be over rated. Everything he uses in marketing is suspect IMO

Why would you want to over power it? You won't hear the difference between 400 and 600 watts so why would you risk damage?
  40. Looks like a low end monster. hope to one day hear this truck. nice work
  41. Mark, seriously we need swift on team ssa. His truck has to be the nicest and loudest daily driver I've taken a ride in. Gut wrenching lows, crispy highs and sexy as hell.
