  1. We are proud to be able to help a friend, and just a cool individual in need. SSA has a long standing relationship with Shawn Fleming, and would very much love to help him in his quest to get a new prosthtic leg. Shawn has long standing ties with the car audio community and has brought many loud vechicles & products to our community. Which is why, with every purchase of a "Rewards" eligible product in the SSA store, we will dontate 5% of that purchase price to the "Shawn's New Leg Fund" and help our friend to walk soon again. Click the link below to read his story, and straight donate. http://www.soundsolu...w-leg-fund.html

Your gonna get bad and good opinions on that amp or any amp in particular. I would find something in your budget that is dependable and can hold you over till you get what you want. Like Impious said 1500-2000 watts is fine, the amp turns usable power into heat rather than watts anyway. So unless competing its not worth it, try focusing on an efficient enclosure more than the amplifier. Just my .02
  3. Opah doomsday style!
  4. Same here where I live. None of my friends no who SSA is or any of the brands I buy. It's funny they're like Enrique is going with another brand nobody knows about haha. I think i'll probably stay with SSA for a while. I love my bc2000s. I bet the 5500 is sickkk!!

  8. Damn nice Navid. Hope to see this at SBN. I'll be bringing the Mag down.
  9. You can also get the I Heat ring if you want, but I would skip the spider, and the p chamfer is included with the cooling. I Heat Ring: This option is a machined aluminum ring in the gap that lowers the inductance of the voice coil which allows it to play up a little higher in the frequency range and have better overall transient response. Please note that you can NOT select low Qts and the I Heat Ring options together.
  10. What specific ones are you looking for?

And spend twice the amount of money for how much of an audible gain..... ? Little to none? Not to mention the sub is a D2 he'd have to run the strapped amps at 4ohm since not many are going to be stable at .5ohm/amp and it's simply unnecessary in a daily system to push the amps that hard, so there'd be no gain to a single amp at 1ohm or a strapped pair at 4ohm. Save your money. Get an amp in the 1500w-2kw range. Be happy.

Just because the sub is rated for 3kw doesn't mean you need to purchase a 3kw amplifier. What is your intended use for the system? If this is a daily driver you could easily save some $$ by going with a 1500w-2kw amp and not hear bit of a audible difference.
  16. Added the edit because I'm obviously an idiot, read Bigjons post and still didn't get it
  17. Word of caution: guy shoots himself.

  22. Hey Steve, i was readin back about when Julian was talkin about air ride shockwaves. Find a local air suspension shop in your area and tell them you want Slam Bags put on your car, just for the rear because of the weight. That is what i have on my car. They are the most durable AND one the cheapest air solutions out there. They are also sold practically EVERYWHERE in storefronts. Mine costs about $90 per Bag. They are rated at 2,500lbs per bag. Specs are- 400PSI Maximum fill capacity. 750PSI Surge capacity. I have about 2,600lbs of weight total in the back of my car and i still have not broke 100PSI yet and my ride height is VERY close to stock height. I got them installed(they are a pure custom installation so welding is mandatory), lines ran, schrader valves installed all for $600. You can use a portable maintenance air compressor(the ones with the flashlight on them) as they can handle up to ~110-120PSI safely and have a cutoff sensor on them that can be set manually. Portable compressors go for $40 or less. They just run off 12v cig socket. No tank, no additional hardware period. Good thing is less places for a leak to pop up. With this setup, the only areas a leak can form is under the schrader valve, inside the valve stem itself(unlikely), fitting between the line and bag, the line itself(if it were cut or ruptured), or the bag itself(defect, noticeable immediately or massive accident).
