  1. Check out the Facebook page for details!! Great way to give something back to the dealers. www.facebook.com/xspower
  2. Please contact Josh at http://www.facebook.com/#!/josh.w.hart or http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/449888281732464/ and PLEASE tell him I sent you! He is truely a great guy to deal with. I was sent to him from Duran. He responds very fast, and is easy to deal with. He has just finished up my design for my 18" SSA Evil and really went above and beyond my expectiations. This is not just any ordinary designer who build an enclosure around your limited space. He actually aims for your goals and utilizes your intended goals into every aspect of the enclosure. When you message him, I would suggest to include any additional information that you may think that could help the design process. For example, I told specifically what frequency range I am really concnerned with or what response I am looking for. I told the characteristics of my vehicle, genre of music I listen to, the amount of power utilized, etc! Here are the results of my enclosure. 8.3 cuft Net tuned to 33hz 128cuin of port Pictures!
  3. Meant the front windshield Shizzzy. Most vehicles I have seen adding a stripper pole blow them out easier. Think about it, the air wants to get out somewhere. If the roof doesn't move & is stationairy, the windshields seal is weakened with the pressure being forced more there. Jamy's tracker didn't blow his windshield out until he added the pole. He started to destroy the doors after that as well due to the same reasons.....air wants to escape somewhere.
  4. If it turns to rain I am gonna flip
  5. Looking forward to seeing your progress, looking good
  6. Because we don't need to. Just like I don't need to drive a dodge caravan to know it's not going to be fast. Why do I know that? Because I can look at the drive train specifications of the vehicle. Did you or did you not click on the links i posted? Are you just choosing to ignore facts that prove Kevin incompetent? When he gets called out on parameters it's because they are physically impossible. Do you understand that? Not too good for Skar, but too good for science. Do you understand why he would do that? Because he understands that the real specifications are unimpressive, but doesn't understand enough to even make them seem better without defying physics. Screw all the other deceit, that alone should be plenty to convince you. And it's recent; within the past 6 months. I'm done feeding the troll. Whether you're too proud, ignorant, or amused to admit it, the logic is there.
  7. Agreed 1000% I've been trying to keep it up on the other sites, lets get this going guys!
  8. Not saying that all. I'm saying instead of judging a sub you don't even own solely based on what the computer tells you, build what the computer tells you AND put it in your trunk then be the judge. Why do people even compete? I mean, using this great software and parameters we can just sit behind our keyboards, plug figures away and be the loudest/cleanest etc. Imagine how much fun that would be, and people can give these great reviews based on....what the computer says Could be the advent of a new era in car audio. brb gonna fire up gran turismo 5, I always wanted to test drive a ferrari
  9. Thank you guys for Bumping this. I kept seeing it when I was mobile and couldn't donate. I went to pin it for that reason and realized it's pinned. As you post, please keep bumping this to the top of the "View New Posts". Sean, if karma exists you deserve some serious blessings. Most people would focus on helping themselves and not using the energy to help others. I am also sure many of us here read the thread and want to reach out to help Lucy, not just your benefit to St. Jude. I know I sure do.
  10. Any amp that does rated rms power at 1 or 4 ohms, considering you gave no budget its hard to make a suggestion for ya.
  11. Maybe like a 4-5 depth, nice and round would be perfect. Some people tune port according to rise, some to peak... Good luck
  12. Pointless post? Read the title; "Beware! Skar Audio poor customer service" I posted this because had I known what I metioned earlier, I never would have purchased Skar product from the beginning. The point is to warn current and potential future customers what to expect when trying to contact them for support. NO RESPONSE! I wish I had seen a post like mine before I bought Skar audio because I would have stayed away from it. I did get lucky though and like my VVX15s and the way they sound. I just hope they never need service work done cause they likely will be throw aways now with no one answering the phone and not even Email support from Skar audio. BTW yes some specs are posted on the website but the full T/S paramers specs on the website are incomplete, which is why I was trying to contact them in the first place. Don't get all bent man. Not every company posts or releases TSP's. The concern shown by many is the incorrect specs or the lack of response when asking about them. It is pretty vital for an online DIY leaning company. It makes it difficult for me too, as I am unable to answer basic questions on some products we sell because the information is not provided or is incorrect.
  13. kevin posted the new baskets on face book.... and i comented " wow.. i bet of sundown started putting cock on there subs so would skar" ..... it got deleted but its true... what ever jacob does shit head just back doors his ideas.
  14. I love it when Skar introduces a new product or updates it with info on here, becuase you guys just tear the guy apart lol it's hilarious. I don't know why he would post incorrect info when he knows right away you guys will point out everything that's wrong.
  15. Really wanted to get this done over the weekend but ran out of 2/0 last night at 10pm. I guess 125ft wasnt nearly enough. Gonna pick up another 75ft and hopefully that will do it. Put in new KnuKonceptz Krystal RCA's, made a new amp tray cause the old was worn from all the changing up thing. Got the Battery tray built, batteries mounted and as much wire run as possible. The fuse blocks will be very functional for Meca but will also have a small copper block to bridge if running Usaci. Once the wall is playing I can focus on the doors. The ID horns motors are way bigger than I thought. Im gonna have to get creative mounting those under dash. All new 10ga in box Tray built and mounted in tool box Sound Deadner for a grommet works like a champ, lol 2.5in holes now in my truck Batteries in and charger permanently mounted, I will run a extension cord to truck when needed. I have alot more wire to run but you get the idea Now for the UGLY, inside back door, I will make this pretty once I get a mock up done, only because I will be opening this door at Meca meets to change fusing. If it wasnt for that the back doors would stay shut and locked. LOL Thats all for now. Better pics of amps, subs and other shit will come later.
  16. After hours and hours of labor I basically have the copper power fuse blocks, copper ground block, battery terminals, and XS bus bars done. I will have to run jumpers on the Die Hard batteries unless I buy wide copper buss bars but I dont think its needed. Jumpers will go parallel and will also have runs going straight to fuse block and ground block/frame from each battery too. After spending hours among hours doing all this shit myself its very rewarding when each step is done. Pics No I can finally start cutting on the truck and running all the 2/0 under truck and up into bed / tool box, through the floor into cab and get the blocks mounted, amps mounted. Then I can focus on the front stage.
  17. Decided to just make my own bus bars. The trick will be making them for the Die hard batteries as I have .5in thick Aluminum and only .5in studs.
  18. Got Power? Thinking this will be the new amp placements Decided to start getting everything out and get this going. I will be doing some very loud doors while its all out aswell.
  19. Duran also made these: I have made plenty of transactions with Duran, all of them have been perfect, his products have exceeded my expectations every time.
  20. I have one with the cabon fiber dust cap and it is awsume
  21. I've heard 4 18" SP4s in a 4th order it sounded amazing. www.bassheadsent.net for your 4th order designs.
  22. Good assumption pal, keep it up
  23. No worries man, I just wanted to know why you like Skar so much. 'I like Skar just as much as you love dudes, I hope that answer you question Ace.
  24. What's there to defend if he is just going to get shit talked and shut down about what he would have to say? He probably saves himself the time and potential problems man..
  25. Yeah frostedflake I checked it out I have a great idea though, how about some of you approach Kevin and ask him to hire ya'll? Clearly you all are extremely meticulous about T/S parameters and modelling etc, and he's obviously better than some of you at business because he is probably a millionaire at age 22? (stand to be corrected). This is how mega-conglomerates are made by forming partnerships and blending certain skills together, it's the perfect opportunity here guys. Yeah?
  26. I keep hearing that lol Window as in windshield? If the roof is suppressed, then the windshield will be stronger, not weaker.
