  1. Slamology is one of if not the biggest Mobile Audio/Car shows in the US. It is in the middle of Lucas Oil Raceway and the NHRA track. The track has been there for years and they have races there all the time. If you don't like the noise through out the summer, then probably a good idea to not live by a major race track in Indianapolis.
  2. Don't know where this event takes place but it appears to be a fair grounds or other similar venue. Unless the town/city has messed up zoning laws (or no zoning laws at all), I would assume noise levels in the nearest residential area do not exceed the 85 dB(A) threshold. That being said, rattling windows is a legitimate complaint and posting videos glorifying this does nothing but harm our hobby.

    A 18xl proto type.
  4. Actually yes you are. Go ahead, use milk. ROFL.
  5. You have the option not to reply. But ok Mom, thanks for the life advice At this point, you basically said you wrecked other peoples property and you want help cleaning up after yourself. Maybe you still need a mom watching over you. Maybe the people you egged deserved it, but that can ruin paint on a car. Happened to me. I would give you a vacation if I had the power to just based on the fact no one here wants to be associated with that kind of poor behavior.
  6. You're right, you should be embarrassed that at 22 years old you were out egging.
  7. No, but Goodyear also doesn't make videos making fun of those who complain. I agree, those participating at Slamology were well within their right given the venue and permits issued by the city. Without knowing where this resident was and how loud it actually was at their house, I'd also agree that if they live too close to the venue then that's their own damn fault. I however agree with Stefan that the video doesn't look good for XS as a company or our hobby in general for making fun of the person, who was at least courteous enough to be polite in her complaint about the noise. Doesn't seem like the same courtesy is being extended back to her with the video. Also, I don't think you all will find that video or voice mail very funny next year if enough (or important enough) residents complain about the noise and the city doesn't issue the permits to allow the event. Food for thought.
  8. im not sure the age of that race way... but i find it so stupid.. in most cases the raceway will build out in the country... then a developer buys and build track homes on land near the raceway.. then people MOVE INTO THESE HOUSES NEXT TO A RACEWAY AND COMPLAIN ABOUT NOISE.. are you Fin kidding me? same thing with rock quarries ... then they protest " stop the blasting " are you joking me.. you bought a house near the noise that has been there for a long time!!! not only that but the rock that your foundation sits on was pulled from that site most times it blows my mind. now as far as XS doing the videos.. meh .. they make batteries for car audio... its not Xs's problem or fault. you cant blame good year for street racers can you? it was a funny video and well edited IMO
  9. I do have beast mode forearms though. Well at least my right forearm....
  10. How much cargo space did you gain? Looks right at home sealed, very nice work on the inside of the enclosure.
  11. Not done but a ninja pic:
  12. If you have ever been to Rome you can appreciate the low lighting in the rooms these pictures were taken. In the case of the Sistine Chapel, not only am I battling very low lighting, but I am also keeping the camera out of view of the guards that enforce a no photos policy rather vigorously. Basically, a steady shot is nearly impossible. The Pantheon pic shows that even a P&S can deal with backlighting. I don't want to spend my time fucking around with my camera. I am going to snap a quick shot and have a good time enjoying what is in the picture, rather then spending a lot of time taking it.
  13. You considering the changes for your ported specific toward #'s or still demo with a bit of a attempt toward higher #'s? As you know, compromises for both applications. I say keep a demo style vehicle that does decent #'s but showcases what the Evil does over longterm demos. As a side note though, your vehicle won't like you if it's toward the demo idea. I will be eager to hear it when you venture to Indy shortly. You & Chop will have to make sure to let me know when you're here. I work funky hours & days off but MUST hear this & meet you.
  14. We're all encouraged to use common sense when playing these high powered systems. Looks like it was an event. Thats the place for it. There is always gonna be someone bitching about something. Funny how this thread differs so much from the other forum it was posted on lol. Love SSA!
  15. Just needs an interesting sky. I don't really want to photoshop anything, but if I am going to print it I just might. No way! If you want more drama, crop the left and right sides to accentuate the height and put it in black and white. If you blow it up huge, give it some grainyness. It would look amazing poster sized blown up in gray with some grit. You could try the sepia brown too, but B and dub would be awesome for sure.
  16. And Ryan your comments are 1000% valid; however, what I want to shoot only happens once in life. Having a tool that misfires or an operator who is unable to perform at that time completely destroys the purpose. Memories are better when you can not only remember them but see them clearly sa well.
  17. Are you going to run it sealed for good (minus shows) or just swap them based on your mood? Interested in hearing more as you get more listening time. Looks good btw!
  18. sounds about right about a sealed box.. the good thing about them is you can make them smaller and they still sound good if you need to save space
  19. Carma is a bitch, never do to other what you would not want done to you.
  20. You should have lied and said you dropped a carton of eggs! Or you were consuming raw eggs on your way to the gym and spilled your cup! Anything outside of egging. I just hope they deserved it and it wasn't a random egg toss at people. I had that happen to my car once and it ruined my paint!!! Carpet cleaner and if that doesn't do the trick get the carpet shampooed.
