Not sure I'd go that far. Really, all they need is a circuit that allows them to be slowly charged and then a means to disconnect them when the battery is removed/car turned off.

Skar audio has a horrible reputation and the subs suck. Go with another brand please!Stop... I've personally have had good experiences with skar, the subs are decent. They are the same as any other china based audio company. Stay out of this thread.

It's the same exact stuff that Miller has been using in their welding machines for a decade. I replaces six caps on my mig welder about six months ago and they had the same model number as these "super caps" some people are using. Only difference is I paid 25 bucks for them from Miller and these audio people are paying 70 on eBay for them. Batteries don't have enough risistanse to limit a 5 second burp. The only way you are going to gain anything is if you didn't have sufficient enough reserve in the first place.

If you decide to buy them and are not impressed by the performance to price ratio I'll do a complete refund and pay for the return shipping within 30 days as long as there aren't any physical damage to the driver. I'll stand behind the fact that there is nothing that compares at its price.

I thought he had his havoc an 18. That's why I said it was too small. Even if it is an 18 you still have no idea if the port is too small, that is the point. You have to know how much power he has to tell him anything about the port...

You have no idea if that is too small for an 18, or any driver for that matter, without modeling for vent velocity with given power drive level. There is no rule of thumb for port area...

It will get louder at 1500 watts than any other of the other subs in the line, it is one of their most efficient drivers... The 2500 rating is a thermal capacity rating, it has nothing whatsoever to do with power requirements, at all, in the slightest. Seriously. 1500 watts isn't low power, for any driver.

How do you know the specs are good? Videos don't justify shit. The pros around here notice all the specs on skar equipment to be absolute shit and sometimes impossible. So how do you know they're good. What about them makes them look good to you? Not being a smart ass. Asking serious questions.
