  1. Then buy them, never depend on a sale. The woofers are already a great price.

    Lol, yea.... I'm gonna pass.

Same as power acoustik, no thanks
  4. Then forego the stereo. Can't have both. Stupid to try both at the same time. One way you "could" is to mic your exhaust and run it in parallel through your stereo.
  5. I would be jumping on that IA 40.1 if I was in the market to spend 1k on a amp.
  6. CT sounds and impressive features do not belong in the same sentence. Really if you look at the SSA store, you can't go wrong with any of those brands. What ohm load do you need power at?
  7. Maxxsonics isn't what they used to be.
  8. think this'll work. Gotta find some decent wire
  9. Shares board? Yes. Shares parts is where things get fuzzy. Haven't heard any complaints from people running a 2200, but what's your budget/power demand/desired ohm load for your project?
  10. fellow Michigander!
  11. From what I can tell, this guy has the DartZeel Pre and power amps ($20,000 each), Pass Labs X1 or x0.5 preamp (about $15,000), 4 of the compression drivers on the sub-horn (I've seen similsr drivers at $8-10,000 each), Some crazy ass tube amps for the upper midrange (If I had to guess..... $40,000 each), a Zanden CD transport and DAC (that's another $40,000), and more crazy ass tube amps for the lower midrange (let's say $20,000), a PS Audio conditioner ($5,000 or so), it looks like an SME 30/10 turntable ($40,000 with a no doubt expensive cartridge), and maybe another $10,000+ in wires. That's close to $300,000 in stuff. Then have the horns custom molded for his yard, and the high/midrange horns at another $100,000+ easily...... yeah. That's a crap load of cash for 5-way horn speakers. At least he likes music!!

Are you being sarcastic So can you please help me find a simple folded horn subwoofer box design

they are the pa speakers containing 1 15 mid woofer and one horn tweeter
  14. the title explains everything
  15. Forgive me. I'm on forums where people try to start flame wars because they haven't heard of a particular brand. Monster was basically like AudioQuest is now: one of those brands being pimped out by BestBuy and other Big Box stores. The quality is there, but the price point is far above what they're actually worth. Try not to get caught up in the game of the prettier the cable, the better it performs. I have those Monoprice Premium RCAs (cost me a whopping 6 bucks) plugged in my HT receiver right now. Zero noise, fat wire used inside and nice insulation, and the outer casing shows no signs of failure, even after five years of being installed. I have no reservations recommending them.
  16. Bingo. If you had ordered an hour ago, they would have shipped it today, too.
  17. Its expensive in the sense of what you all are going to see next year. But for right now, pricing is normal for what the market is used to. One of my aq2200ds bout 5yrs ago had a piece of metal grounding out the inputs inside brand new. Also, first time I bought an hd3 from aq before, they internally shorted the coils. Lack of QC.. no thanks. Im sticking with companies now who actually build their own products rather than having someone else build it for them.
  18. I must say.. I cant get everything from companies who build their own stuff.. but those who I trust deeply, I'll work with them.
