  7. Definitely was more than worth the trip up! Looking forward to seeing you all again at Slam bro
  8. Thank you! It should be pretty insane with the 4th one in there. Then when he puts the other 2 NS-1's in there... might need to do some metal bracing on the roof. Haha. Seeing that other multiple Evil installs have had to do that, I think it will be a must.

  10. You guys will like this. My daughter played all night volleyball this past weekend with her friends and herboy friend told her he did not want her to, she did and now he is mad because she does not respect his decisions. She told him too bad, my dad told me to live my life for me and not for any boy. Now the poor boy is all upset she told him that. I love having a mini me.
  11. Personally I would forgo the DMM method and just utilize your ears. I would always set the gains on what you most use Aka while driving or playing with the car off just jamming. For the ear method, turn the head unit to where you normally listen to, adjust the gain until it sounds off or bad, then back it down till it stops sounding bad/audible distortion and that's your gain spot. But you still be vigilant in any scenario, so use your senses and you'll be fine.
  12. Very disappointed in the mechman alt. 1st and LAST purchase from mechfem by me. 3 relatively important issues mechfem does not tell you: 1) The rear mounting bracket was too narrow by at least 3 mil. I had to bore out mounting holes to get bolts to finger start. That is terrible quality control for a $500 alternator. 2) One of the the stock mounting M10 bolts is about 3/8" too short for mechfem bracket.........blame Korea?? Don't you think the part time engineers at mechman could provide that bolt with the alternator? Nawww I guess the local ACE had me covered. 3) Stock alternator belt is too long. Again, very simple point of knowledge to pass along to the consumer. Correct new alt belt length is 1" shorter.
  13. 1 point
flexin the speaker penis.. such flex.
  14. The left is, after all displacements, the subs and sub sizes that will fit in that amount of space which is in the middle. The right is the amount of port area the box will need for the subs. The length is odd. I think the chart is pretty confusing for new people. Also should be more custom not universal.
  15. I would suggest doing some self research around car audio forums if you don't understand the basics of enclosure design and their functionality.
  16. The amount of emails I get from people who blew a sub and blame it on the sub because they think the DD-1 is gospel, is just silly. The combination of lower quality amps strained on not the best electrical systems, with gains set to almost or at clipping at 1 or 2 frequencies, is just . The masses (not everyone), from my experience, that are using the DD-1, are cheaping out on their electrical, but spending good money on their subs. This means, their point of focus when something fails because of wrong gain setting, is the subwoofer. So while others are making money off some blinking lights, it is causing me and others with speaker lines, nothing but constant headaches and more work, and in some cases pissed off or lost customers.
  17. It has nothing to do with our amps specifically.
  18. It wasn't just a "clamp test" There was a "clamp test" done. Taylor has a new scope on the way and will retest. There's very few people whom I would trust in the car audio world, but Taylor is one of them. I've seen his amp test setup. It's not a red neck garage. Hopefully the retest will reveal some better results. The NS-1 didn't do so well either, but it's also designed as a high voltage amp.
