In my eyes its not like the sub is damaged or not working. Thats why i say there isnt much i can see Fi doing, i doubt they would build you a new sub or offer a discount. I wouldn't worry a bit about that amp. You seem intelligent enough to know when to back off the volume and that should be your only issue.

That was definitely funny and it's funny when people talk shit about things they have no idea about. For instance, a few weeks ago I took the kids to see Guardians of the Galaxy. After we watched the movie we headed to Wally World to grab a couple of things. We were in the van and having a little fun listening to some Five Finger Death Punch as we pulled into the parking spot next to where some guy and his girl were standing next to their car. When I got out of the van he goes, "Wow, hope everyone can still hear." and I told him yeah it does okay. Then he asked what was in it so I just showed him. I open the rear hatch of the van and he looks at it for a moment and goes, "Oh, yeah I had some of these." Which really got my attention and I asked him about owning Fi to which he answers, " Well no, not that exact brand. I got them from Wal-Mart and I blew them pretty quick but they were okay while they worked." I proceeded to inform the moron that Fi subs are custom built in Vegas and that you can't buy anything like them from a store let alone some bullshit store like Wally World and decided I wasn't about to give the idiot a demo. He was obviously too stupid to understand, lol.

Just keep the Hifonics amp and this is coming from someone who's not a big fan of Hifonics. The amp isn't any worse than some many of other Chinese built amps on the market and definitely better than some hundreds of others. As Justin said, they're not known for their quality. If you could afford an upgrade sometime in the future then it probably wouldn't hurt but otherwise there's not going to be any problem running the BL on it. I say run with it and be happy, but that's just my .02

So my little man Gavin wants to go hunting, but with the haunt his dad has limited hunting weekends. So my wife tells him she will take him shooting, I looked at her and just smiled. That should be replaceable under warranty I'd think. You said it wasn't damaged during shipping? Well then it left Fi in that condition. It must have slipped by when they check things over. I recently got my Zv4 12 and the surround is coming off the basket, more specifically it looks like there is glue missing in 2 spots. I was told to fill out an RMA and usually in these situations they build a whole new driver.
