  1. A XS power d3100 fits right in the stock battery location in both my bmw 3 series (e36) that I used to have, and my 5 series (e39) that I currently own.
  2. Or go with a pair of under dash horns and a 8" pro audio mid per door, like stated above multiple speakers per door only create chaos.
  3. i wish you could hear my front stage...a SINGLE pair of 6.5" components with 640w rms per channel it's crystal clear and stays ahead of my two 12" subs very nicely....staging is awsome my ground pounder had only two 6.5" mids and a tweeter in each door that kept up to four 15" Xcons easily (800w rms per door) listen to M5....stay away from SMD install photo's if you want it to sound good... a door stuffed full of assorted drivers gets loud.......but sounds like shit as far as staging and SQ
  4. Just thought I would update you guys, I was notified on an order status change today via email, my Xcons have shipped out, tracking says they will be here thursday (literally 2 days before I leave for vacation)! wooo!! I can't wait
  5. sometimes bigger is not better.... personally I would go with a pair of ported 10" wedge the enclosures towards the center and give the subs a V formation so they do not pound into the seat and muffle out use PVC to port (save space) and up fire them on the outside of the enclosures the build will be a bit tricky with the angles but the sub will have room to move air and the ports will have no restriction sorry for the shitty drawing...took about 30 seconds with a dull pencil..LOL
  6. I agree, ssa and fi subs are worth the wait, hopefully youll get it for your road trip tho.
  7. The small gain in power isn't worth the stress it's going to cause everything, and definitely not for a daily setup. Stick to 1 ohm per amp, you'll never be able to hear a difference and all your equipment will be much happier and last longer.
  8. From what is written here, I wouldn't recommend going over the rated limit of the sub or the amp. Why are you wanting to throw so much at them? Why are you wanting to run the impedance down so low? What vehicle is this going in? What about the box? Or even electrical of said vehicle? This is one of those situations of, "If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't." I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to help prevent possible equipment failure.
