  1. You will hear absolutely zero difference going from 3000w to 4000w. Even if the amp were a free trade I wouldn't bother. As for the box size, again for music you should avoid that. You are sitting in a good position. If there were certain frequencies, notes, anomalies or the like you wanted to change then perhaps a different box design could be the fix but there are also probably better ways to do that.
  2. I want to extend a thanks to the SSA forum members that have been with us for a while and have supported my expansion of the SSA product offerings. 10 years ago it started with the SSA Icon 12D2, and we have slowly expanded from there. After years of just sub woofers, I was finally able to move into smaller speakers. Our latest offering is the Evil6.5 mid. All that being said, I need to take care of the people who are apart of the SSA family first. So to our SSA forum members, if you want to try out our new Evil6.5, I will place a $10 SSA Store credit on your SSA Store account for each SSA Evil6.5 you want to order. This is available to SSA forum members with an SSA Store account until September 15th, 2016. _________________________________________________________________________ All you have to do is follow the below example and post in this topic: SSA Store account email address: [email protected] Number of Evil6.5's: 2
  3. hey so i want to build an aeroport enclosure for a fi ssd 12 @ 33 hz and i have no idea if this graph is good or not. this box is 2.5 cubft and also i want to use a pvc port but i only have a 6inch pvc pipe at 15 inches in length and for what i need i will need a 21 inch long port for 6 inch port but i have also have a 4 inch pipe that i only need around 9 inches in length so im thinking about using the 4 inch but not sure if that will give me enough port area and not choke the sub. so can anyone tell me if this graph is good or is it too peaky at the 33hz point and if this is too much of a peak how can i make the tuning of the box more flat? test1 graph.bmp
  4. Remember, unless you double (or more) power, you won't really hear a difference. Many easier ways to get louder/lower. I'm jelly. Hopefully getting some SSA toys this Christmas o.o
  5. I order 2 last month if that counts...lol [email protected] 2

  7. Quick simple way to check for a short on a coil would be a 9v battery on the speaker wires with them disconnected from the amp. Hold the neg. wire to the neg. post on the battery and quickly scratch the pos. wire on the pos. post on the battery, this will cause an audible sound and make the cone move. It's ghetto....but in a pinch it works if you don't have a meter to check for continuity.
  8. 1 point
Just make some pods for your doors and add the second pair of Hertz mids. Pointless to have center console speakers, youtube and forums have people thinking its cool. Just because your building a center console doesnt mean speakers have to go in it.
