  1. I always liked smaller setups... More impressive. Both are going to be loud as all H E double hockey sticks, and the Wardens handle plenty of power, so I'd do the 1 12, because I think that the larger box size, (in proportion to the driver), could get louder. Are you sure you have enough room for port area for the 15?
  2. You are using different amps, batts and vehicles???? That's going to affect something too bro.
  3. Louder than the Type R? Install dependent, but you could check the sensitivity of the 2 drivers to see which would more likely be louder in an optimal enclosure.
  4. Turn your gain up to the loudest non-distorting point, (which is probably not going to be ALL THE WAY UP), and if that isn't loud enough then you need a larger amp.
  5. Gorilla Zoe - Juice box. Check it out on youtube; the vid is with 4 SA-12s and it's Derrick from team sundown. It makes his roof do the wave!
  6. If you are going to upgrade your power, just splurge and get a BTL right away.

In this case, I think I will be getting 2 925s and an HO alt, as this will better fit my application, (2000ish watts RMS). For such a little package, these batteries have a lot of power! I can save a ton of weight in batteries this way!

    Anyone know?
  9. Yes they are rated at 750. Im a moron and totally forgot I needed to divide by the number of drivers (2) After reading your reply it prompted me to do some research, I didn't realize I couldnt run them at 2 ohms. I understand now though. Thanks for pointing that out. I havent gotten as far as thinking about electrical requirements yet, I know there' s a way to mount a saturn 110 amp alternator, I will do that considering my factory only pushes 90 amps unless you think I will need more than 110? Let me search 'big 3' and i'll get back to you lol Im going to try both of them =p I read your entire build log, very impressive I got me a saturn as well, 93 SW2 with an 85 amp alty. I have the big 3 done and stock everything else electrical wise and I'm fine running 1000 watts daily.

Wow, what a thread! Didn't know that so many folks on the forum enjoy the funky green.... I can see this both ways: For Legalization: I'm hearing a lot here about getting out of debt, and I agree. Put a stop on a lot of crime, I also agree. As a former distributor of said... prducts... I realize that when I was in the biz I was pretty much a total arseho, (no way around it), due to the fact that you can't trust anyone and the money really does get to you. I wound up in the emergency room and decided that I was pretty much a retard for the whole thing. Would dumbasses like me be running around with guns and such harming ourselves and others if it was legal? Probably not, although we would find something else dumb to do, but that's just the old me talking. Enough of my whiny A lot of great things can be made from hemp, (although these things already are but not in mass quantities), and much more medical research involving the plant could and would be done, possibly unlocking some hidden potential in the plant. Against Legalization: You now give previous criminals a clean source for their dirty money and open up a whole new can of worms. I agree with the field testing problem that could arise, (a lot of alchoholics can handle their liquor and be totally unsafe to drive, same with pot smokers), and it would probably upset a lot of moralists like my grandparents lol. The government would have complete control and that could be bad for any truly legal business trying to start out with all of the regulations holding them down, (although they wouldn't exist without legalization). While I am fairly libertarian in my political leanings and I think that people should be able to do what they want with themselves, I do not want another thing out there for my kids, (I don't have any but someday I might), to get into. Alchohol and tobacco are a lot more widely used among minors than marijuana. Parents: do kyou want this to be more accesible to your children? That's my long and misspelled rant. Please ignore.

I have a few more questions before I go ahead and decide... 1.) On your battery power chart, when it says that, say, the 1200 has juice for 1500 watts when used as a starting battery and 3000 watts as a secondary battery, does that mean that two 1200s would support 3000 watts or 4500 watts? I'm a little unclear on this subject and depending on the answer I may downgrage the battery size to save weight/money because I really want to do a two battery setup, (learning experience and personal preference). 2.) I know that an H/O alt would help me use fewer and less powerful batteries to provide the same power for my system, but how much will it help?

Wait a tick, do you mean buy the side-terminal adapters you sell or actually lay the battery on it's side? That sounds ludacris with a lot of other batteries but I hear you guys have cooked up something special with these, so I figured I'd ask, (about laying on side). You can lay the battery how ever you want to, except for upside down (never understood why someone would want to mount a battery upside down). Wowsers, these are special. Thanks
  13. Hey, another wisconsin bud! Welcome! Post on the main forum to get some answers to your questions.

  15. I think that it would; what you read was power handling at a certain box size; that doesn't mean you HAVE to run that box size at that power.
  16. Great job! Just curious, where did you get such a huge aero? That's like an 8", right? Did you make it or buy it?
  17. Excellent review so far; very thorough. Watching...
  18. Well, good luck to you with these, can't wait to see other applications.

If the height of the posts is the issue you could always mount it on its side. The S1200 would handle that system as a starting battery for most daily driver applications. Most excellent. I'll just get another for the back if need be. Thanks

I remeasured just to be sure, and the 3400 is going to be a tight squeeze heighth-wise, so I'm thinking a 1200 might be a safe bet. Now I have another question: Can I run more than a 1500 watt setup with just the one 1200 as a starting battery? Not a lot more, just like 1600 watts or so...
  21. I'm not sure what you were in possession of, but I think that the midbass demons may be in possession of your time, effort, money, and soul.
  22. I think with big heavy enclosures shipping will certainly make a difference! It will probably be vehicle dependent, but I would say sub back port back because it seems to work well in a lot of trunk cars. A kerfed port allows you to use less port area than a non-kerfed port requires, (just like areo ports), and I think it's because it decreases air turbulence or something, but I'm sure someone more knowledgable can elaborate.
  23. Ah-ha! So if you are running an amp with an internal fuse of, say, 150 amps, but you are running 1/0 AWG to the amp that is rated for 300 amps, you should put a 300 amp fuse in the wire instead of a 150? Just checking.
