If you are truly going for an SQ setup your sub stage should be the least of your worries. I'm going to assume that you just want something that will get decently loud and not sound like crap doing it, if that is what you're looking for I think a Fi BL would suit you nicely and if no check out the Q.

Where they are built has nothing to do with their quality. At all. Period. They are built to Jacob's specs. If they cut corners it'd be fairly obvious and I have yet to read any complaints about Sundown amps. Edit: Logical complaints that is.

So what is your goal here? If you're going for loud just build a bigger box for the BTL as one 18 ported should be louder than two 18s sealed.

If you're going for SPL then the BTL is going to be your best bet. Do you have the electrical to back it up(assuming you're going to run 2000WRMS)?

The BTL is an SPL woofer that sounds good for what it is. The XCON is an SQ woofer that can get loud as well. A fully loaded BL isn't going to be as loud as a BTL assuming they're both in ideal enclosures. Edit: goals, budget, etc would be nice as well.

For a fully loaded Bl I'd recommend this from Sundown.

If you know for sure you will be getting a second one then yeah, get it with Dual 1 coils and wire it at 2 Ohm til you get the second one.

Depends on a lot of factors: box size, the options you choose, your listening levels. Anywhere from 2000-3000rms but too many factors to tell with the lack of information you gave us. 4ft cubed at 33 hz with cooling only. what do you mean by listening levels He means how loud your volume is, do you listen to your system at full tilt a lot and the like.
