I love Alpine, i'm sure you will too. The box looks unique, did you clear coat it? Whats your plans for sub/port placement? Fatmat FTL
  2. I'm pretty sure I got that issue sittin' around here...somewhere... So do i i actually know him, I hung out with him and the guys who painted and airbrushed his truck at the last Sema show. He's selling it though.. One Of A Kind Show Truck
  3. "Our Kits include oversized (Kolossus) Power Cable. With 2058 Strands of Tinned Oxygen Free Copper, no other manufacture offers a 4 gauge cable like this." - KnuKonceptz I recommend them if you want to get better wire. I believe it is 45-50 dollars for a 4 gauge amp kit.

  5. If he's done work for SEMA, I'd say he's also over my budget. Being out of area isn't really a big deal, I wouldn't care to ship it. Nope, he's very reasonable and respects other peoples wallets. I am getting my amps, truck, and interior done from him. Well, you think you could maybe show him the picture and ask him for an estimate? I'd appreciate it man. The UPS man JUST NOW brought my amp, it's awesome! On the birth sheet it says it does 1796 watts at 1 ohm. I can't wait till my BTL gets here and I get this shit hooked up. Are you wanting that done to your amp? -- i missed it if its listed somewhere but what amp is it? Dimensions? Do you just want the face of the amp airbrushed?
  6. If you need air couldn't you just bust the window? -- i might be thinking too ghetto...
  7. Enclosures:
BTL 12 – Ported box we recommend using 1.75-2.5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz (I personally think that a 32hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume.

BTL 15 – Ported box we recommend using 3-5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz. Again use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume.

BTL 18 – Ported box we recommend using 5-8 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it close to 32hz for a daily driver. Again the same 12-16 square inches of area applies per cubic foot of volume. -- Fi:
  8. This might be too opinionated.. Do you research on drivers you've listed and get opinions on them with that amount of air space and tuning.
  9. If he's done work for SEMA, I'd say he's also over my budget. Being out of area isn't really a big deal, I wouldn't care to ship it. Nope, he's very reasonable and respects other peoples wallets. I am getting my amps, truck, and interior done from him.
  10. Just to review.. from starter batt to second batt: + to + to amp and - to - then gound - from the second batt to the frame.
  11. Okay, thank you. I figured it wouldn't help much.. i was more worried about it putting more strain on my alt. I was mainly wanting it so i can build it into my amp rack somehow.
  12. But.. would it hurt? I wouldn't mind having it, since i got it. It was only 40.00 bucks so it wouldn't even be worth selling it cause it didn't dent the wallet. EDIT: it's an 92 S10 motor with a stock alt so its pretty shitty.. the alts are so weak.
  13. Tuning low is not good for every application.. for daily 45hz is high, but some driver do tune in the 36-40hz for daily.
  14. Should i use a Kinetik 600 Power Cell in my install for my front stage? -- Will it help with my voltage? OR! Will it strain my Alt? I know its only 400wrms.. but i have the Power Cell already. (2) Alpine Type R 6.5 component sets (1) Alpine PDX 4.100 KnuKoncpetz 4 gauge amp kit Yellow top as starter batt. 1/3 Big 3 done. (Batt to frame) Stock Alt -- 80-100 amp (not too sure)
  15. Alpine decks FTW.. i think they are the best for function. I doubt its the deck.
  16. Found this on Craigslist for 70.00 bucks, but i got it for 40.00 boo yah! Would it be worth having it in the install with my PDX 4.100? hmmm... Shes a little dirty With some scratches
  17. I want this bad Billet Specialties - Classic - 15.5
  18. I ordered 2 sets.. hope im happy with them! I personally think that kicker is an okay company.. but they don't build their drivers like Fi does, The BL will be louder then the L7 BUT!... 2 15" BL's would make your head which, i personally.. love that feeling hahah plus Dodge + Bass = A few years ago i had a Audiobahn Immortal in my Dodge Dakota RT and it was legit.
  19. It's possible to get the whistle sound from having the wiring com out of the port, but that depends on how the wires are hanging.. its not a guarantee that it'll happen. Alpine is one of my favorite companys! Its seems like they keep advancing with their technology and their headunits are amazing!
  20. You don't even qualify to post in this section.. nor do you have the proper information listed.. nor do you have pictures.. Read the rules
  21. i dont agree... infact it was a notable change, Are you sure you just didnt have the settings different when you changed the amps?
