  4. Nooooo, install both sets! EDIT: No screws in the box?
  5. For the grill, i've been wanting to try this idea out for a very long time. Have the box regular.. just a straight ported/sealed box, then... get a piece of wood of your choice, get it about an inch thick, then get a sheet off plexi glass about 2/4 or 1/4 thick and cut the wood so it would frame around the plexi glass and have about an inch lip going inward on the frame them with a tool of your choice sand down the wood so the plexi glass fits in flush then.. cut holes about the size of the bottom of a styrofoam cup (or smaller/bigger) out of the plexi glass and then add some led lights (color green cause green is fuckin dope) then boom! just make sure there is enough room from the face baffle of the box and the back of the plexi glass for sub excursion. ...this idea might sound/look better in my head
  6. Then the doors it is! i'm thinking the arm rest part, as far forward as i can go. Thank you for the heads up
  7. hahaha i will do just that. I was thinking in the doors next to the 6.5s but then it might sound muffled from being so low, so i'm thinking my A pillars
  8. (2) SPR-17S 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speaker (1) Alpine PDX 4.100 (1) 4 Gauge Amp Kit from Knukonceptz is on its way!
  9. My hands are tied until i get the equipment Buuuut im pretty geeked!
  10. well i am not no where professional at it, and i am spending 1300 or more dollars in a sound system I don't want to buy 50 dollars in wood and build a square box and cut a whole in it... I'd like the box's frequency and tuning measured, i also don't know how to do the math for the displacement of the speaker size, magnate, and bracing. Building a box is a much easier challenge then you think.. honestly. 3/4 MDF wood, Titebond III, Screws, Jigsaw, Power Drill, is all you will need. I can provide you with a guy via e-mail that does box designs for around 10 bucks via paypal, he includes a 3D model and a cut-sheet so its as simplistic as it can get. Don't be intimidated.. its only wood, screws, and glue!
  11. Done.
  12. That calls for a new avatar ahaha good job bro
  13. "For sale is a box with 3 kicker cvx 12 wit 750 watts each also with with 3 kicker zx750.1 amps." 1000 dollars!?!?!?!
  14. Should be coming in this week or early next week Yeah, i hope it gets loud. I live in Glendale. Mesa is pretty nice, but.. if you aren't use to the weather here.. god DAMN is it hot!
  15. I would get the 15" if you are going with a single sub set-up. I know this guy that can make you a 3D design and a cut-sheet for around 10 bucks and it makes building your own box really easy. In this hobby that kind of experience is priceless! How do you like your 6.5 Alpine Type R's?
  16. Get the Nightshade 18" and call it a day Reason people love the 8's so much is so they can get the reaction "AND ITS ONLY A 8 INCH SUB?!?!"
  17. JL products are good, Sundown products are good. There will be no difference to your ears. Both amps are made with very good technology and love "haha" How much money do you want to spend? The JL goes for around 350 NEW on ebay, the Sundown goes for 550 on their website. (shipping not included)
  18. This question is nearly impossible, well actually it just might be impossible to answer with the information givin. So many things depend on what numbers you'll get ..therefore this question, is a horrible one.
  19. Check out the mag. the BL will be bigger then the Q. If i remember correctly, the BL is double stacked mag and the Q is single.
  20. So how would you even go about mounting something like that? Well they say they have a "Mounting System" but people i know just cut the baffle in half then glued it back together. "Only issue was the motor is larger than the cut-out for the basket. This is why we developed the LV510 Mounting System. It allows you to over-size the cutout to allow the motor to pass through but still be able to mount the driver without needing a split baffle or inverted sub" - DCsoundlab.com EDIT: Can you imagine though? "Okay guys we have the prototype ready, lets put this sucker in a box and start pounding... mike go grab that box.... oh fuck..."
  21. Just imagine if you had the LV510.. the mag. is bigger then the fuckin mug shot! haha good luck bro
