Well it was just a suggestion from watching the spl shows. Please let me know how things work out. One of these days I'd like to build a spl machine. They look like a challenge.

Call TIPS and see if you can get Ray to build you a impedance compensator. They work great. My 6 1/2s will play down below 32 htz.

Does the housing get very hot ??

Makes my truck look almost stock under the hood and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb (wild color wise). Judge a last years Scrapin the Coast show had to look at it twice to see the changes. All 0ga and 2awg. Very easy to work with also (very flexible).

I wouldn't use anything but welding cable.

do you want high spl numbers, or sound great and hit the low notes. very hard to get both. tune higher for spl, tune lower for sound quality/less distortion.

most of the high spl enclosures I've seen has been tuned to 57 htz of higher. playing music through these enclosures will destroy a sub (i've heard). But, competitors looking for that (high) number only go for that 15 second burst anyway. if you look on my truck log on my sig, (page 2) check out the mini msx class escallade Eddie Hill built. The tuning on that thing was 77 htz that hit over 180 db. I'm not sure or the details. but that thing was awesome ..

I rather verify, verify, verify, recheck, recheck, rather than screwing something up ... I usually have a wiring diagram in my hand when looking at mine.

you might try and tune around 22 htz. The box will not (unload) on the higher freqs. just a suggestion sir.

if your not in SQ competition, why would you ditch the rears? I'm not complaining by any means, but just asking ... run the rears off the radio power.
