That's unfortunite that the p99rs is out of your budget. It is badass and has everything an active hu should have. You could sell all your other processors to make up some cost. Are you sure your Clarion is damaged? It sounds like the output section its going into protect mode. Are all of your connections correct? No pinched or damaged RCA connectors/wires? I would look into your wiring and other components downstream. I don't think you are powering speakers with the Clarion's built in amp but if you are low impedence drivers or damaged drivers could cause this.

Are you doing any custom work on this or only dropping in components? Go custom

If I had a ski pass only I would do a bandpass for sure.

External port is the same as internal. Difference is port volume doesn't add to enclosure volume.

Depends on the goals, usage, personal preference. I personally enjoy a ported box as i like more bass. As to OP as stated by Aaron the ZCON's are not designed for sealed enclosures they are meant for high power and heavy bass. I would like to hear how the XCON sounds in a sealed enclosure. You guys really are beating a dead horse. Denim, owner of SSA, answered my question in it's entirety nearly two weeks ago. Any further discussion will either be redundant or off topic.

You should get an XS Power battery charger. Your alt isn't going to charge up depleted batteries. It would suck to ruin a great alt and batteries.

Glad to hear you like your new sub setup! I agree better safe than sorry than to fry your new subs. Just wait a month or so until the subs are broken in. I know with my XCON after it was broken in it sounded louder and lower

I never heard an Fi or AA sub but I can tell you my XCON 15 is a beast. It would be suitable for your enclosure and power requirements. I pound on it daily with 1800wrms. I do not have a 1800w max amp I have a 3kwp set for 1800wrms, big difference. XCON takes it all day no problems. I just got done fixing a roof brace that the XCON vibrated until it split

I do not believe that the United States government represents american citizens. I have a very strong opinion that the US government does not have American's best interest in mind. I think that the US government did not plan the attacks on 9/11 but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it did. I have deep remorse toward the US government for the American families that lost loved ones or have loved ones with life long medical trauma from serving in the US Military. It really aggravates me to think that there are children, wives, husbands, mothers and fathers who live everyday without their family member who's life was taken because of the US government's fight first tactics. I could not imagine a day without my daughter or finance, I just can not fathom the pain other families have. I do not see any hope that the US will be a prospering county by 2020. Damnit that just sucks.
